What a fantastic property! It took a minute to find it, but it's a cute little house and incredibly quiet. If I am charged with bringing my parents back to Florida next year, I'll definitely be back; if it's available, and they'll have me.

Off the beaten path

It is a very nice property but kinda in the middle of nowhere. We still enjoyed it very much, we borrowed some fishing poles and fished off the dock. We would definitely come back!!

What an awesome property!

Everything was beautiful and cozy, I wish the checkout times would be later than 10 am but all check out are like that now days. Amazing view, if you are looking for a relax time away from the city noise this is the perfect get away. Just make sure you bring groceries for your stay, things are a little far away but is sooooo worth it!!! We will definitely be booking again, hopefully soon!!!

Wonderfully relaxing house!

We spend a wonderful and relaxing time, no mosquitos. Wonderful lake view. Make sure you take groceries and everything you need because supermarkets are far out. There is a dollar general close by and a liquor store. The property was clean and cozy and had everything you need to spend a relaxing wonderful time. Will be renting soon!!!

Very secluded and cute house!

We stayed in this house while visiting family. The house was clean, well equipped and in a beautiful, very quite location. I am very glad that I drive a 4-runner, because the house is very secluded and several of the roads to get to the house are not paved, but are sand and are quite bumpy. You do not need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get to the house, but a vehicle really low to the ground might not be the best car to drive. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Hawthorne!

Great way to disconnect to the everyday world

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. You can just stay at the home all day and enjoy the views of the lake and the wild life or you have the option of several different places you can visit within a 20 minute drive. The home was very clean and comfortable. Plan on driving down dirt roads, but they are easily managed. There are Lots of state parks to choose from and some pretty cool swimming holes that we found. We also visited wet hammock farms and were able to do a (you pick) blackberry, blueberry, and flowers. If you are looking for a place to eat hog wild is a great choice. There is also a winery not too far away (free wine tasting). If you are looking for a get away in the wood with options of heading into town this is your place!
