About this property

Escape from the city!

Welcome to our family bach :)
Like a lot of NZ beach Bach’s it comes with minimal features, that’s why we love it!
No TV, no wifi, a chance to hang out and reconnect with whānau and friends.
Bring the board games, books, beach gear and good banter!
There is phone reception but not the greatest signal so if you are wanting to chill out with a movie please download on your own device and bring with you otherwise sit back and enjoy the sounds of the Wild West coast.
The space
A place to yourself where the whole family can relax and enjoy together. Plenty of parking with the main car park to Bethells beach/Te Henga only a minutes drive away and the car park to access the lake only a couple minutes further along the main road.
The main bedroom has a small balcony attached which can also be accessed from the lounge area.
Upstairs is a lovely loft room, also with ocean views from the right angle.
Downstairs are rooms 3 and 4 both with their own access doors to outside, you will need to walk through the ‘bunk room’ to get to the final bedroom.
**Please note : Soundproofing wasn’t big on the builders list at the time of construction so please be aware and mindful of this while staying.**
Other things to note: ***You will need to provide your own sheets/pillow cases and towels. There are extra blankets and pillows available to use if required.***
Booking requests from 22 Dec - 8 Jan Will require a 4 day minimum stay.

Fantastic Place for a Family Holiday

We had a wonderful stay in this home. Easy to look after, with wonderful views. Would recommend this for a family holiday. Only ten minute walk to the beach and the fabulous Bethells Beach Cafe.

Lots of space for family, good kitchen well equipped. Meter board needs birds nest cleaned out and window replaced big fire hazard! Great beach and river/lake. Just a long walk to the beach.great views and coastal breeze. Tidy but needed a good clean, gutters need to be cleaned out as grass growing in them. Great classic kiwi batch and fantastic bird life. Very peaceful. Thanks

Perfect retreat

This is the perfect batch for beach holiday. Everything is as described. The walls are thin and is mentioned but lots of sun, surf, and sand and we slept well any way. No big deal when comparing to any share accommodation environment. We had my wife’s 60th weekend and it was perfect. Great views too.
