Romantic escape in the woods w. hot tub, fireplace + indoor pool access
A one-bedroom log cabin within the gated Hidden Springs Resort, Bear Escape is ideal for a romantic getaway or a vacation with one or two kids. Not only is it conveniently close to Dollywood and other local attractions, but it also has a pool table, a hot tub and more to keep you entertained right on the premises.
To see why Bear Escape makes an idyllic honeymoon destination, you need only to step into the bedroom. The log-style furniture, wood-planked walls and floor, and sloped ceiling give it a fairy-tale charm, while the king-size bed provides five-star comfort. The room’s gas fireplace will warm up the space as you watch a movie on the flat-panel TV. A door opens directly onto the deck so that you and your special someone can linger beneath the stars before snuggling under the covers or enjoying a soak in the bedroom’s jetted tub.
If you prefer to do your soaking outdoors, you can step into the deck’s hot tub. The combination of steamy bubbles and cool mountain breeze is especially restorative after a day on the slopes or the hiking trail. The deck has rocking chairs as well—a mountain-cabin must-have—and a bistro table for dining outside among the sunshine and birdsong. Because Bear Escape looks out onto lush woodlands, you’re sure to be serenaded by wrens and warblers in the morning and whip-poor-wills at night.
Back inside, you’ll find a dining table that seats four guests and a kitchen fully equipped with appliances, cookware and tableware. There’s even a dishwasher, because why scrub plates when you can be lazing in the hot tub? Bear Escape has a charcoal grill outside too. Doesn’t everything taste better when cooked in the open air?
The dining table is adjacent to the beautifully furnished living area, which has its own gas fireplace. You can bask in its warmth from the roomy recliner or the roll-arm leather sofa, which opens into a queen-size bed. If you’re vacationing with the kids, they’ll be delighted to sleep here, especially once they spy the flat-screen TV and the full-size billiard table.
Bear Escape’s other amenities include free Wi-Fi, cable TV and a washer and dryer—not only can you pack light, but you can also return home with a suitcase full of clean clothes for a change. Don’t forget to pack your bathing suits, though! When you stay here you have free access to Hidden Springs Resort’s indoor heated pool, which is just a short stroll from the cabin.
While all of the above are great reasons for staying at Bear Escape, we can think of at least one more: the convenient location. The cabin in less than 10 minutes from Dollywood, Dollywood’s Splash Country, Parrot Mountain and Garden and a few of Pigeon Forge’s most popular attractions. Drive for a few minutes more, and you can be at the Titanic Museum, Gatlinburg Golf Course, go-karting, dinner theaters and restaurants galore. Even the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a true must-visit, is less than a half-hour away.
Bear Escape has it all: charm, convenience and unexpected luxuries. Go on, treat yourself to the getaway you deserve, and book your stay today!
Please Note: The 2026 Annual Pool Closure will begin on January 7, 2026. Maintenance will be done during the months of January and February. Pool will reopen in early March 2026.*

This cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed and more and in a beautiful location. There were many other cabins around us but it was very quiet and peaceful. It felt like you were off alone on a mountain despite being only 5-10 minutes from Dollywood. The hot tub was an awesome feature to enjoy the view and fresh mountain air. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back at some point!
Everything was easy. No complaints!! I would stay here again!!!

Weekend getaway
Overall it was a good trip just was not as quiet and away from other cabins as the listing made it seem very tight neighboring cabins and even at quiet hours just talking on the back decks you could hear others over the quietness of the mountains
Overall the cabin was in good clean condition except for the jaccuzi. My wife and I had to wipe it down, run it for several hours to get it clear and add water to it when we first arrived. That being said, the entire stay was relaxing. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are great places to visit and because there is so much to do, we will need to return back in the next few years. Overall, this was a great value.

Great
Everything was great. Until the last night and it’s still not anyone’s fault really. It was 1:30 in the morning and the cabin that are cabin was backed up to had some ladies that were being obnoxious and loud and there was nobody to call about it.

Kimberly, we are pleased that you had a great time in Bear Escape. We are sorry that you had to deal with obnoxious neighbors in the wee hours of the morning. We look forward to having you stay with us again on your next trip to the Smokies.
Cable and internet was the worst I have ever used.
Internet speed reminded me of the old dial up days.
Could only get one channel to watch.

Close to all the things
We had some challenges with entering the property. Door code didn’t work and it was pitch dark while attempting to get in. We contacted the property manager for assistance, and they were a great help. Once in, we noticed a half empty Gatorade on the counter - but otherwise property was clean. Once settled, everything was great (except the outdoor smell). Also - very close to neighbors - which can be good or bad depending what you’re looking for.

unbelievable, never again
This was the only time I have been disappointment, when I have rented a cabin, in Pigeon Forge. There was a raw sewage smell outdoors, behind the cabin. It was so bad that we could use the hot tub, but that was ok, because the hot tub was cold, anyway. The internet didn't work, so we didn't get the TV channels. Like I said, this was the only time in over a dozen times, that I was disappointed, is the cabin I rented.
The frist day was awesome then we got some snow over night and after that not so good the internet went out and the tv in the bedroom never worked . The cabin was cold and the hot tub never got back up too temperature after the power outage. My neighbor never had a problem with thee internet and I call the number that I was given and a call center was no I mean no help with anything.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was beautiful, peaceful and quite. Really enjoyed the stay however the cabin needed a good cleaning and there was a water leak on the back porch when we arrived and after reporting it the leak was still there when we checked out. We also found several damaged items which were reported and picked up. We also had some very chilly evenings and mornings it would have been really nice to have been able to use the fireplace but we were told they didn't turn them on until October 1st. I really feel like if you use a fireplace as a rental point you should at least have access to it. The fireplace was the main reason I booked this particular cabin and the reason I didn't choose a hotel room. I really hope the water leak gets fixed. The cabin is much too beautiful to be neglected. I mentioned all the above in hopes that it will be fixed before the next renters arrive. Overall our stay was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely visit again.

Honeymoon Trip
We were somewhat disappointed with the stay. The cabin itself was nice enough. The televisions did not have any cable or satellite service. They were equipped with roku's but the wifi did not work at all. A maintenence person was sent to check the router and stated that this has been a known issue but the owner will not update the system. So without wifi we were without television our entire stay. Wifi shouldn't be advertised if it is not going to work. The thermostat would bot go below 69 degrees which may not be a problem for some people but as a hot natured person who needs coolness to sleep it was a definite problem. I understand trying to keep cost low but we also paid to be able to stay here and be comfortable for our honeymoon. As being our honeymoon were wanted to enjoy the cabin.
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon!
This cabin is in a neighborhood of rental cabins. Cabins are close to each other but there is still plenty of privacy and you have your own private view from the back porch! The location is great. It feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but you’re 10 minutes away from all the local attractions! The cabin was clean and has that awesome wood smell. The bed has a memory foam topper on it and was pretty comfortable. The hot tub and jacuzzi were both wonderful, and we loved eating our meals on the back porch! We really had everything we needed and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!
My only complaints are this:
- the refrigerator and freezer never really cool off to the normal standard... our food did freeze in the freezer but it took a solid 8-10 hours to turn water into ice, even when we kept the door closed all day. Same with the fridge, it cooled down but never enough for things to get the typical level of cold in a fridge, even when it was left closed all day. Nothing spoiled though.
-in the evenings there was an occasional unpleasant odor (like sewage) coming from somewhere else in the neighborhood. It wasn’t awful and it was only on occasion we got a whiff. It wasn’t bad enough to keep us from going back! And I imagine whatever the problem is it’ll probably get fixed.
Overall I would definitely recommend this place!

Could’ve been better
Loved the location. Loved the fireplace, pool table, spa tub, hot tub and having a washer & dryer. Unfortunately as soon as we arrived the door code didn’t want to work. We had to try several times and it was like this every time we tried. Digits were too long to remember and hard when having your hands full. No pot holders provided or hand soap but luckily we ran to Walmart right after we arrived the first night and purchased those items. Ran out of toilet paper and paper towels on day 3 since we were only provided 1 roll of each and stayed 4 nights/5 days so we had to buy more of that as well. The dishwasher would leak water in the floor when it was ran and had a strange odor in the kitchen. There were tiny black ants all in the kitchen on the counters. The hot tub was relaxing but the first night we went to use it it was set on 85 and we had to wait hours to get it heated to 99. The lights didn’t work on it and the jets weren’t very powerful. We also could never get the satellite/tv to work, kept saying “call to pay your bill” and couldn’t get the WiFi to work either. My fiancé found out the router had been unplugged so we thought he had fixed it. We finally got WiFi connected but it would buffer going in and out every 5 mins or so, so we couldn’t really even watch “tv” with the internet being so slow. This was difficult at night with 2 kids. Also never received the complimentary attraction tickets but not a big deal. Could’ve stayed somewhere better for the price we paid.
To start the check in process for a quick stay was ridiculous. We were a quick stay because we were suppose to be in Charleston but with the hurricane our plans changed. We sent payment with a different address than driver license. The name matches but they needed a bill to match the credit card, Saturday morning, the day we were checking in … we were already in pigeon forge and had come in Friday night. We were lucky that we could access a credit bill (that obviously was gonna match because we used it as the billing address for it). That was nonsense.
We get to the cabin and the door code didn’t work so I have to make a call to get it corrected and we had to make sure the code worked every time we left because it didn’t work in the beginning who’s to say it wouldn’t lock us out another time?!
We walk in to a weird little fridge in the kitchen beside the pool table. Why?? The TV was junk! Seriously, a micro TV in the living room when the bedroom TV was larger. It required us to pull the TV into the middle of the floor to see it from the couch. The internet didn’t work more than 2 minutes at a time without buffering. We had to make a trip to Walmart at 10pm Saturday night to buy DVDs so we could watch TV. The AT&T display said to pay your bill call this number… so no cable or satellite even though it eluded to satellite to watch not that the internet would stay on long enough…even after resetting it multiple time.
The fireplace worked non-stop because you had to toggle the on/off switch under the fireplace and the face covering wouldn’t stay on worth a crap. A recliner that doesn’t recline. A toilet that leaked. The bathtub shower curtain is too short and allowed water to run into and soak the floor. The hot tub cover was junk to say the least, seriously replace it. The hot tub was nasty in general, we couldn’t use it because prior peoples dead skin was floating on the top and created a film.
But the worst, most absolute ridiculous thing we encountered that prevented us from relaxing at all, causing extreme stress when we should be at ease we’re the text/email. Oh the number of text…7 to be exact to remind us to get out before 10am in less than 48 hrs. Felt like we should’ve not even checked in just give them money, get the code but go stay elsewhere you’re not wanted here.

Clean and cozy….but
Cute and cozy cabin in a great location BUT. The view advertised is not accurate. I should have taken other reviews seriously. The Wi-Fi is spotty at best so TV in living room is also spotty. TV in bedroom doesn’t work at all. Called for service but it was going to take til after we left to be fixed. The hot tub was very relaxing but the jets were not very powerful. Fridge doesn’t keep things cold but I got tired of calling for help so just lived with it. Would definitely go back to the area but for sure not stay here.
Adorable cabin, very clean, great location, and super easy checkin/checkout process. Highly recommend.

Less privacy than advertised, 2x emails & text for everything
NEG: Cabins placed within 50ft of each other. Decks overlooking each other. Steep drives. Water remained slippery and had an odd taste (well?). Excessive communication, text and double emails for everything; 1 week out, tomorrow, arrival, welcome, checkout tomorrow, checkout, hope you enjoyed your stay (21+ communicates for 2 nights). There wasn't a moment without 2 emails and a text.
POS: Comfortable bed. Clean. Convenient access to dollywood and Pigeon Forge.
Overall: If unable to get something more private would definitely return to.
