Welcome to the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Townhouse on Levers Rd in the suburb of Matua, Tauranga.
The stand-alone Townhouse is fully self-contained with a pleasant outlook to the Otumoetai Pa Historic Reserve and the summit of Mauao ( Mount Maunganui).
The Townhouse is an easy 7 minute walk to the Cherrywood shops incl., Neighbourhood Kitchen Bar & Restaurant, a bakery cafe, 3 takeaways, a chemist, butcher and grocery shop (4 Square).
Easy walking distance also to the inner harbour with expansive views to Mauao (The Mount) and harbour entrance.
The Townhouse has garaging for 1 vehicle and off street parking for another.

PLEASE NOTE: if two guests choose to use both bedrooms, please book as 3 persons. The second bedroom will be locked-off unless both bedrooms are booked.
For longer stays (over 6 nights) a change of towels & bed linen will be provided . Guests change bed linen (ie "self-serviced"), while your hosts launder bed linen & towels. Guests are responsible for domestic consumables (tea, coffee, sugar, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc) after 3-5 nights.

Great hospitality

My partner and I both had a lovely stay. From communicating with Steve and Wendy to the quality and cleanliness of the townhouse was excellent. The attention to detail of the townhouse was superb. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Executive Style Homestay for Professionals

Our GM and Chair stayed at 'Townhouse on Levers' whilst attendeding an important Hui/Conference in Tauranga. The accommodation and hosting was exceptional. Communication and delivery without fault. Perfectly perfect stay at Levers Townhouse.

Very easy check in process. Great communication with hosts - very responsive. We were the first people to stay in this perfect two double bedroom house. One room is ensuite and the other has a bathroom next door to it. Lounge, kitchen and dining are open plan and very spacious. There is ample parking including a one car garage with auto lift door which hosts the laundry. Has a lovely large deck with outdoor setting overlooking Mount Maunganui which is a quick and easy commute to get to. There is a shopping centre that is a short walk away and a bus to town also stops outside the door half hourly. As previously mentioned, we were the first to stay in this lovely home so there were a few very minor bits and pieces that we felt were missing. Steve (the host) had asked for feedback and when we gave him our little list he said he had taken it on board and would address these very few small things. We had an absolutely pleasant stay! So good in fact we have booked a few more days to finish our holiday in New Zealand there. Thank you Steve and Wendy for making our stay very enjoyable! Only wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely home!

Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

We rented this little haven in Matua for three days. Due to having accommodation booked elsewhere we moved out for three days and then came back again. Neither myself nor my Mum of whom I was travelling with wanted to go back to the apartment at Mount Maunganui after being completely spoiled by staying here. This really is a home away from home! We were the first tenants to stay in this haven when it became available for rent through VRBO. The first three days we stayed in this beautiful home Steve the owner asked for feedback about the house- we gave him a small list of things that we felt were missing and even a suggestion that will make people’s lives somewhat easier (usb plugs in the kitchen wall switch) however this idea wasn’t strictly necessary. We were impressed to discover that not only had he done all of our small list but electric blankets were also now on the bed! This delighted my mother who usually lives in Australia and feels the cold. At one point we had half a dozen family members visiting at once plus Mum and I and we didn’t feel at all cramped. Due to being winter we didn’t use the outside deck and out the back of the house but it would be gorgeous in the summer on a warm night. All in all Steve is a very responsive host with great communication and the house l can only say was exceptional and perfectly positioned to access anywhere around Tauranga and Mount Maunganui even without a car as buses leave from right across the road half hourly.

This was an outstanding property, we couldn't fault it. Right from having a garage with internal access with the ability to park a 2nd car in front of the garage if needed was great.The cleanliness, the spacious bedrooms and the fabulous kitchen all contributed to a very relaxing 5 day stay.I would definitely stay again.

A Fantastic Find

We were looking for a place centrally located in Tauranga for my wife and I and her parents for four days. Stephen and Wendy’s place was ideal offering two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout of the property maximises space with a full size kitchen, a dining area and a very comfortable lounge. Unfortunately due to some bad weather we didn’t get to appreciate the outdoor living area. We had two cars but parking off the road was no issue. There is a garage but we didn’t use it. The accommodation was very comfortable…I had to work to get my in-laws to leave! The kitchen has all the utensils you might need. The potato peeler had gone astray but Stephen replaced it without any hassle. I’ll certainly make this my first place of call if I’m visiting Tauranga in the future.

Nice House in urban area

The house is very nice and offers everything you need.We felt very comfortable here.Although it is not in the city centre, you can get around here without a car as the bus stops almost outside the door.If we come back to the area we will definitely stay here again.

Exceptional house for vacation in Tauranga

When traveling in New Zealand one can experience the differences in accommodation levels. This house can well be categorized in one of the highest classes in all aspects with only one exception, which is the noisy road in front of the house. Truly an exceptional experience.

Great place to stay in Matua

My husband and I visited for a long weekend to visit a friend who lived nearby. Communication with the hosts was excellent and the townhouse was tastefully designed and very comfortable. Highly recommend this property.
