Settled in Vanderhorst Plantation, this one-story home has a calm and contemporary feel. In the living area, you will find a cozy couch, two comfortable chairs, and a TV. The fully equipped kitchen offers beautiful white cabinetry, a spacious center island, barstool seating as well as additional kitchen seating perfect for your morning coffee. The dining area is sure to please as it is in close proximity to the kitchen area and provides ample seating for your whole party.

The primary bedroom offers a king-sized bed, a TV, ample closet space, and a private primary bathroom. The full bathroom features a double sink vanity and a glass walk-in shower.

The secondary bedroom also offers a king-sized bed, a TV, and deck access. The third bedroom offers a king-sized bed and a TV. Both bedrooms have access to the full bathroom just down the hall. The full bathroom features a shower and bathtub combination.

The fourth bedroom features a queen-sized bed, a TV, and deck access. Bedroom five also features a queen-sized bed and a TV. Both bedrooms have access to another full bathroom just down the hall. This full bathroom includes a double sink vanity and a shower and bathtub combination.

The spacious screened porch is perfect for lounging, a game night, or enjoying a meal al fresco!

Clean, friendly, and great location

We stayed at 156 Bluebill over Thanksgiving, and it was a great gathering place for our family. It is a large home (5 BR), and the location on Flyway was wonderful. Less than a 5 minute ride down to the beach, and not *too* far from getting back to town. We liked the showers, the bedrooms, and the big "group" sofas for hanging out and watching TV at night. The house is a little on the run-down side, though it seems like they are in the process of fixing it up. The pots/pans and other kitchen necessities were good, and the oven worked well for Thanksgiving dinner. Also a big hurray for a great washer/dryer! I'm just slightly less enthusiastic about the house because compared to some other places we have stayed on Kiawah, this was bigger, yes, but it wasn't as "nice." Instead of a home, it had the feel of a box. But that's OK, as well. It just wasn't shout from the rooftops great. What we all greatly appreciated, though, was the excellent service from Akers & Ellis, who were amazingly responsive throughout the entire stay. If you are looking at staying on Kiawah, I cannot say enough about that organization. They make it so easy to get bikes, their people are friendly, and the whole experience is a good one.
