Great Lake, Great Host
This was a fantastic property, very clean inside with all amenities that we could have needed for our stay. It was very private had a great dock (our dog loved jumping off it), very clean lake to swim in and do water activities. The road was great for going for a walk after dinner with little to no traffic. The property was as described and the host was available if needed. We would definitely come back!!! K&J

We are long-term cottagers and lake lovers. We live in Muskoka and love spending time at our cottage in Haliburton. Our favourite cottage activities include swimming across the bay and back, tubing, reading a book on the dock, playing board games with the family on rainy days, exploring the crown land forest behind the cottage, canoeing and kayaking over to the marina for ice cream.

Why they chose this property

We have grown up cottaging in the Dorset area on a smaller lake system; however, have always loved Kawagama Lake. As the largest lake in Haliburton it has both large open water and quiet bays to explore. We love the location of our cottage on in a bay which feels like a small lake on its own but has access to the whole lake around the corner. During the summer months, we have beautiful sunsets and choice of sun or shade on the docks during the day. The water is clean and deep and great for swimming. There is also a gradual entry with pebbles and sand that our dogs love using for swimming.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is our personal cottage and is a welcoming space. We want it to feel like your cottage while you are there and believe we have achieved that with comfortable furnishings and amenities you need. Our goal is that you just need to bring your food, blankets and clothes.
