Notably on 2 occasions, I saw someone using drugs in the field on the other side of the fence. And we also had a homeless woman try to enter the property. She wouldn't leave so we had to call the police. We didn't press charges. While it is super close to everything downtown, it didn't seem like a great neighborhood. Aside from that..... the management company was helpful with issues. The house is very small but cozy and charming. It was very clean, but a bit under furnished, and cheaply furnished. I stayed for about 23 nights; this rental is better suited for a short-term stay. The kitchen is a decent size with decent appliances, but very little counter space and the cookware was bleak. The neighbor has dogs that bark constantly, and there is excessive train noise that woke me up most nights around 3 or 4 am. Overall I'm not angry but I would also not stay here again.

Poor stay
This was one hassle and inconvenience after another. First, I was provided a door code for entry. This was the incorrect code and didn’t work. I had to call someone and waited outside in the dark just to try and enter the place. Second, on the 3rd day, after locking the door, I couldn’t get back inside. They changed the code again on me. Had to call again, only to get voicemail. After about 30 minutes of waiting and wondering I received a call back with another code that finally worked. Third, there were mice in the property. Saw one run through the living room, then another when I was about to prepare some food in the kitchen, a mouse ran across the countertop! Made me not want to use the kitchen at all after that. I spent several hours on the phone dealing with hassles and overall wasting my valuable time, all while I had paid plenty of money for this little house. I would not recommend staying here, unless you want to be extremely inconvenienced and frustrated.

Hi Mark, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
We are glad you chose our home and we apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Unfortunately, there was a storm that caused an interruption in the WiFi, and that cleared the door lock code accidentally. This does sometimes occur during a storm and we always provide guests with a new code right away if it does happen. The house was been treated before and after with a pest control company and any potential holes wherein the mice came in have been covered up to ensure this doesn't happen again. While we apologize for the issues you encountered, we feel that the refund was a fair resolution.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays. Thank you for your feedback.
