Just under 2 miles from downtown Fredericksburg, this cozy cottage offers the perfect location to enjoy all the shopping, wineries, and events the area has to offer, but removed enough to enjoy the quiet outdoors. In the evening, recap your excursions of the day while enjoying a glass of wine around the firepit at sunset. Soak the evening away in the outdoor tub gazing up at the Texas stars. Experience the magic of the Texas Hill Country & Wylder Moon Retreat.

Location- 1.9 miles west of Fredericksburg
Host- Private cottage. No host onsite.
Sleeps- Up to 4 people in 2 king bedrooms
Bath- 2 baths with walk-in showers & an outdoor patio with an outdoor shower & soaking tub
Kitchen- Full kitchen with a nespresso machine
Breakfast- Coffee & tea provided. No breakfast.
Amenities- 50" Smart TV in living area, WiFi, washer and dryer, gas fireplace, front porch with seating, covered back porch with outdoor dining & a propane firepit, outdoor bath with a shower & soaking tub, charcoal grill, indoor & outdoor games (bocce ball, croquet, washers, and frisbee golf)

Only one dog is allowed at the house and there is an additional nightly fee of $54/night (before tax). If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Great for a friends weekend

Great spot for a trip away with friends and our spouses. Quiet and out of the way, but still very easily accessible to everything. Comfortable beds and more than enough room for the four of us. Highly recommend.

Homey, Stylish, and Full of Thoughtful Touches

Stayed at Wylder Moon Retreat with my mom and sister for my mom’s birthday weekend, and it was chef’s kiss! The place was not only super aesthetic, but the owners truly thought of all the little details that made it feel like a cozy home away from home. You can tell care went into creating a comfortable and welcoming space. Would stay here again for my next Fredericksburg getaway!

Quiet, Close to town, Comfortable

We enjoyed being in a quiet area just 5 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. The listing description is accurate. Beds were comfortable and the house was every clean. Very nice back patio. We are now big fans of the San Saba Soap Company products that were provided! A wonderful stay!

Spring break getaway

We absolutely loved your home! Everything was very thought out. We especially loved the coffee maker! It had a huge backyard which my dog loved. Very comfortable beds and beautiful kitchen!

Weekend retreat.

Good location, we enjoyed being close but yet secluded. We enjoyed how beautiful the home was set up. Would definitely come back. Only gripe is WiFi was not the best on streaming . But it’s all good we were mainly outside with the dogs .

Cannot say enough positive things! The house is an absolute dream. I loved all the small details in the decorations as well as the amenities. Nothing felt out of place or out of theme. My only negative was the burrs in the yard but that's the country terrain and nothing you can do about that - just wear shoes outside and check before you come in. I even bought some of the soap after we left because it smelled so nice. Also, something small is we had minimal things we had to do to baby proof so as a parent that was really nice. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! It was so relaxing and my kids are going to be talking about the outdoor tub for months

Great Birthday Getaway

My daughter loves Fredricksburg. She wanted to celebrate with a stress free birthday. This was the 4th time we’ve rented a house in Fredricksburg. This house was by far the best one yet. The house was very spacious, beautifully decorated with an ideal location. I’ve already shared Wylder Moon with family & friends. I would definitely stay here again. Phillipi & Courtney Lytle

A little oasis in Central Texas

From the ease of check-in, including being greeted by soothing music when we entered the property, this little hidden gem does not disappoint. The space is beautifully decorated and fully stocked. The bedrooms have some of the comfiest beds and bedding and the bathrooms allowed for the much-needed relaxation we were all looking for on this quick trip. Property staff was also extremely responsive to all our needs and inquiries and even went to the trouble of shipping us items we had accidentally left behind. If you are looking for a cozy hideaway in the Fredericksburg area, this is the place for you.

Nice place

We spent a long weekend with friends here. The place was really nice. The beds are SUPER comfortable and cozy. The only thing negative we had to say was that you can not see the house numbers on the mailbox and it is easy to miss. There is no actual driveway, so that made a muddy mess in the truck when it was raining. Overall it's a nice place and we would stay there again.

NICE PLACE!

The beds were VERY comfortable & both rooms had KING beds that was awesome! We frequently visit Fredericksburg. I personally would not stay here again until they install drapers! I was on a girls trip and we were not comfortable at all in the living room, kitchen/entry area, or the master dressing area! There are NO DRAPES at all in any of those areas!!!!

We are so glad you loved the home, and thank you for the 5 stars. We just want to clarify for future guests that there are drapes in both bedrooms on ALL of the windows. The only area in the master that does not have drapes is the vanity area which has a privacy fence protecting it from all sides. Regarding the living area, the neighbors are at such a distance, no curtains are needed.

Peaceful Hills!

My husband and I decided to take a trip to the hill country for our anniversary. It was absolutely lovely. The property was just as pictured. The attention to detail in the design of the property was amazing. I fwll in love with wveey deature. We enjoyed the patio and peace. We wanted to try the outdoor tub but the water woulsnt get as hot as we liked. But that did not impact our atay. If you're going to Fredericksburg stay here!

We are so glad you enjoyed the house! The whole house in on an on demand hot water heater at 140 degrees, but the tub is at the end of the line, so it just takes a little extra time for the hot water to get to that point.
