The property boasts incredible sunsets. That is great if it is sunny. We had rain, but that's not the host's fault. The building is in very poor condition; the sagged front door is barely openable. This stay will be forever referred to as the "Shack" for that is what it is. As a beach house in sunny weather it would be fine. At nearly 300 per night in rainy weather it is not worth the price.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear the weather didn't cooperate during your stay. Unfortunately, rainy conditions can certainly impact the experience when visiting a waterfront cottage, and that is something outside of a host's control.
I also apologize that the front door was sticking. As with many cottages located close to the water, changes in humidity and weather can occasionally cause doors to swell, and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention.
While I'm disappointed that the cottage did not meet your expectations, I would like to provide some additional context for future guests. The property has undergone significant updates, including a new roof, windows, flooring, kitchen, bathroom, lighting, heat pump, air conditioning system, bedding, towels, and the addition of a washer and dryer. It is a cozy waterfront cottage located just steps from the ocean, designed to offer a comfortable and relaxing beach getaway.
Many guests specifically choose the property for its waterfront location, beautiful sunsets, and cottage charm. We appreciate all feedback and continuously work to ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay.
Nice, open cabin. Clean, many windows. Comfy beds. Includes everything. Stovetop is very slow. Address on GPS is incorrect as we entered the wrong cabin and found our place based on the photo. Would book again. Good communication.Cabin is under construction which didn't deter the usage. Enjoyed ourselves.
Fantastic location…..close to Tatamagouche and Brule Point. Very comfortable…the fire pit by the shore was magical. The cottage is well stocked with all the conveniences of home. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful few days relaxing and swimming. We were in the middle of a heat wave so the sea was the best place to be. Accommodation was lovely, clean and cosy. Only issue was the outside lights not turning off and keeping the person awake who was sleeping on the sofa bed.
Cozy, spacious and beautifully laid out Cottage with an amazing view of the water. Beach access and lots of little extra things in the cottage for anyone to do if they wanted. Host was fantastic to connect with. Would highly recommend this stay.. Plan to go again next year😊
My sister, myself and good friend stayed at this lovely cottage on the shore. Amenities were great and the scenery was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this cottage getaway. We were there in June and the weather was lovely; not too hot. If we were there in July/August I might have wanted A/C.
Had a fantastic stay right on the ocean. So close to anywhere. It was the perfect spot for my dog and I. We felt right at home. Every amenity you need is provided. We visited the tatamagouche brewery, The bakery down the road. Went to pictou, New Glasgow and all the local beaches. Will definitely come back!

Fiona was a great guest. Took care of the property and cleaned up. Would have her back anytime.
We got lost initially but our host guided us to the correct laneway to the property. The unit is fully stocked with kitchen items and we did use the BBQ. Mostly a great time here, and recommend to others!
Had a great stay on the Brule Shore.
Everything was as described.
Host did a great job with updates to the cottage.
Brought our dog along and we enjoyed the direct access to the ocean.
Couldn't have asked for a better location. Short drive into town & additional parks and beaches.
Would definitely return in the future.
The cottage is amazing with all amenities and just in front of the ocean. Everything was amazing and great. Very close to the town. Best spot for relaxation and its so peaceful and quiet there. Beautiful sunset and views around. Will definitely go back next summer.
It is such a wonderful spot. I have mobility issues to consider and there were many challenges in that regard. But we were so happy to have a peaceful spot to enjoy the ocean and the wonderful sunsets.
We enjoyed the house a lot. It is small and tidy and comfortable. Parts of it are still a work in progress but everything worked well. The kitchen was well equipped. We were pleased to have an excellent informational notebook about the house and the immediate area. We especially enjoyed the yard and bird watching from the Adirondack chairs. Our corgi loved walking with us in the neighborhood. The sunset was magnificent both nights!
We really enjoyed the Oceanfront Cottage on the Brule Shore! It is quaint and beautifully decorated- we especially liked the turquoise accents! The view from the kitchen/living and bottom porch was amazing- we watched herons, kingfisher, seagulls, a seal, sailboats, and the sunset. We even enjoyed the shore, exploring and floating in the warm water- finding crabs and periwinkles. The adirondack chairs were lovely, and even a clothine for our towels and bathing suits. The kitchen was so fully stocked with everything we needed! Lots of light and enough outlets. The location is close to anything we might need,We would love to stay here again!
The view from this cottage is absolutely stunning! The location is perfect. It’s a very quiet area near a lovely village. The cottage itself is charming and well decorated with big windows that showcase the stunning view! The cottage is well stocked with many amenities. The water is warm and perfect for swimming. There are some nice places to eat in Tatamagouche and a great brewery! The location is convenient as there is a nearby grocery store, hardware store and gas station. The cottage is in a quiet and peaceful location and everything you need is nearby. We hope to return many times!
Great views, comfortable cottage. Quiet and peaceful "neighborhood". Loved sitting in the adirondack chairs and watching the ocean and sunsets. We were able to swim and the water is warm! Visited local Rushton beach and drove to PEI and the Bay of Fundy area. Beautiful countryside to explore. The nearby town of Tatamagouche was easy to park in with friendly folks and fun shops and eateries. Saturday Farmers market was outstanding, Though cottage was well equipped, more hooks, shelf in bathroom, and instructions for electric fire place would be appreciated. We had a great stay at a reasonable price.
