Location, location! This beautiful, updated 2-bedroom turn-of-the-century house is located in downtown Colorado Springs with excellent access to I-25 and near abundant parks, shopping, and dining establishments. SODO restaurant row is a 2-block walk, Weidner Field Stadium is 2 blocks, the US Olympic Museum is 4 blocks, and the free shuttle is 2 blocks.

There is a fully fenced yard, hardwood floors, and ceramic tile. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, spices, and other food and cooking items. For your convenience, you will find toiletries in the bathroom, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, hairdryer, etc. There are also additional linens, towels, and blankets. The backyard has a gas grill and outdoor seating for barbecues.

The immediate neighborhood is friendly and consists of other homeowners. Shugga's, a Seattle-style coffee/wine bar, is 1 block east, and then 1- 1/2 blocks further are The Coffee Exchange, Streetcar 520, Atomic Cowboy, Dos Santos, and Coati, which is a new gathering place with many restaurants and breweries all under one roof. The Warehouse Restaurant and Gallery, a long-time local favorite, is just three blocks north.
Also nearby are the Pike Peak Center (7 blocks), Colorado College, Fine Arts Center, National Firefighters Memorial, and plenty of restaurants, breweries, and retail shops.
The city has plenty of bike and scooter rental stations nearby, and easy to access our miles and miles of bike lanes!

Just minutes away are the 5-star Broadmoor Resort, Garden of the Gods, Helen Hunt Falls, Air Force Academy, Olympic Training Center, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, and the Colorado Springs Airport.

This updated, remodeled Victorian house will give you the comfort of your own home with the convenience of being located in the center of EVERYTHING Colorado has to offer and the activities you are seeking to enjoy.

Dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee per pet, and the yard is fully fenced. Sorry, although I love them, I can not accept cats as my husband is highly allergic.

a welcoming cottage

Everything was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well supplied with cookware and utensils. We appreciated the recommended local restaurants listed on the chalk board, and that we were within walking distance of an excellent grocery store. Also, we were so happy we could bring my daughter's dog with us. He was quite happy there.

We LOVED our stay! The property was well maintained and beautiful. It was perfect for our family of 4. I loved the twin beds because our kids didn’t have to share a bed! So handy! The location was perfect for anywhere you wanted to go visit. Very close to attractions such a Manitou/Pikes Peak/ Garden of the Gods etc. Lori was a dream to work with! Thanks for much for helping making our stay in Colorado comfortable! We will be back!

Location and house was great!

Close to everything

The host Lori is really nice and pleasure to communicate with. The check in and out was fast and easy. The house is close to all the attractions that Colorado Springs offers. It has a fenced in yard ( that was really important for us as the dog’s parents). Thank Lori, we enjoyed our stay.

Great house- convenient to everything!

Lori was so great to talk with and has extra touches in the house that really shows she cares about her guest’s stay. It has everything you need to feel at home. The house is so close to everything in Colorado Springs. I would definitely stay there again next time I want to stay in Colorado Springs.

This home is absolutely lovely, clean, and cery close to downtown Coloraso Springs. The kitchen has eberything needed to cook your own meals. Lori is wonderful about communicating any concerns and community happenings. LOVED our stay here!

Perfect!

The property was clean, and well taken care of. They had everything we needed to cook, clean, and make ourselves at home, even with our 4 legged family member. The host was very helpful and even went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed! The location was perfect for proximity to USAFA and Red Rock, which were our biggest draws for the weekend. Highly recommend.

This property was exactly what I was looking for during my current stay. The main reason for my trip was a concert at Weidner Stadium, which is just a 5-10 minute walk from the home. There are also food places and coffee shops within walkable distance. It's super easy to get onto the highway and get where you need to go if you rented a car, as well. The property has all the amenities someone would need during their stay, and is very cozy, cute, and comfortable. Lori, the host, is very communicative and responsive, which helps make the stay easier.

Quiet neighborhood. Very convenient to downtown and interstate. Walk to restaurants. Property Manager lives next door. Great communication. Clean house. Socked with everything I needed. Nice back yard. Beautiful view of Pike's Peak. I would definitely stay here again.

Such a great spot near everything downtown!

Lori rescued us by taking our last minute booking after another host canceled on us 2 weeks before Christmas! We've never stayed at such a well stocked property. I realized when I got there I'd forgotten all my toiletries, but everything I needed was under the bathroom sink. While making Christmas dinner, realized I'd forgotten garlic just to find garlic powder in the kitchen. There was even coffee for us. The space was more than ample for the two of us and our dog, who loved the yard. Lori was incredibly communicative despite being on vacation herself during our stay. And the location of the property was perfect, we walked to breakfast and dinner several times during our week long stay, but it's still a quiet street for relaxing at home on nights we stayed in. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Perfect house for our family of 4

My family and I had a wonderful time at this house! My granddaughter who is 6 1/2 said she never wanted to leave....she loved this house. I’m sure the rocking horse had something to do with it. But the house is great. We sat on the enclosed porch a lot due to the monsoon rains that greeted and remained with us. We still managed to do lots of fun things in the area. We were a little concerned about the location of the neighborhood, but all was well. My dogs enjoyed the freedom of the fenced yard as did we. So this vacation was an A+. We had an awesome time. Thanks Lori for such a well equipped house!! If we are in the area again we will look into booking here again!!!!

Perfectly adorable and centrally located home with very thoughtful host!

I absolutely loved staying at Lori’s charming “Victorian cottage” as did my kids. We were getting to The Springs later than I thought and she OFFERRED us a late check out. I also mentioned needed to find a place for my morning run and she left a map with her personal recommendations and there was and cold water in the fridge on our arrival and coffee for the morning. The house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated- I adore the antique window décor!. I saw the previous two reviews and I honestly don't know what they were referring to. We found the character of the house bright, inviting, very clean and well maintained. My daughter enjoyed the books and toys and my son was able to access wifi easily. There was everything in the kitchen I needed to make meals for my picky eaters but found a couple restaurants around the corner for me. :-). The house is also really close to all the attractions we wanted to see. I highly recommend this property to a family or couple visiting to Colorado Springs. Next time we come through for a couple days we know the perfect affordable place!

Very sketchy neighborhood-NOT SAFE!

Run down neighborhood and house! Very dissatisfied with the upkeep of the house outside, backyard looks at a decrepit garage/shed all dirt for 90% of it plus a leaning wood privacy fence- Nextdoor falling down house and garage - have to park in the street where vagrants walk by constantly- backdoor in desperate need of repair - house has NOT been restored at all by the looks of it and especially there is NO Victorian feel to it at all just a dumpy house in a dumpy neighborhood Disappointed that Vrbo would have even accepted it as a property to list- Thankfully they rescued us out of it and put us up in a ice hotel till we could get into our next Vrbo.....which is a thousand times the reflection of what a Vrbo should be!!! we are faithful Vrbo customers and have never had a bad experience till now 😞

The kitchen has plenty of room to prepare most any meal, plus all the pots/pans and accessories needed. The full sized frig makes keeping food and/or leftovers easy. The sofa and reading chair are quite comfortable. The glassed in front porch is a marvelous place for reading. Hard to beat the location so near downtown. Heating and air conditioning work quite well. The hostess is top notch. We will be back!

This lovely cottage has charm with a capital C. The pictures don't begin to show how much of the vintage is still there. Lori was so responsive to any questions and supplying us with everything we needed for easy check-in. As a couple of seniors we appreciated the one floor layout and the easy walk-in shower. Although we didn't cook a meal the kitchen was well stocked and great for breakfast and snacks. Air conditioning worked well and was easy for us to adjust to our liking. We did use the washer and dryer and were glad to have it. The neighborhood was quiet and close to many of the things we were interested in. If we return to the area we would stay here again.

Just perfect! Such a thoughtful Host. So well equipped, everything you need is in this bnb. An amazing location to walk to local bars and restaurants. Very well kept lawn for a dog friendly accommodation. The host is very accommodating to request. Overall a great stay!

Why they chose this property

I bought this property as my primary residence in 2004. Fairly new to Colorado Springs I wanted to be downtown close to all the amenities: shopping, restaurants, recreational activites and cultural events. I enjoyed living here so much that when relocated I thought it would make a great place for visitors to the Springs and put it on VRBO. I frequently get repeat guests and the house is ideal for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, affordable, and convenient place to enjoy their vacation and extended stays.

What makes this property unique

Centrally located only 3 blocks from the Interstate 25. Two blocks from Tejon Street- Colorado Springs main downtown street. Very close to Colorado College, Fine Arts Center, Convention and Visitors Bureau, shops, restaurants, night clubs.
