The Woodburn Bungalows is a turn of the century, renovated home and has everything you need to feel cozy and comfortable.
This 4-bedroom, 1 bathroom home was built in 1924 and is called a "story-and-a-half", which means is that each bedroom is on a different level. The main level features the kitchen, living room, dining room, and one bathroom. *Please note: the bathroom includes a deep soaking tub and a shower. It also includes new stainless steel appliances, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and all the utensils, cookware, and spices you need for a home-cooked meal. The remodeled bathroom has a deep soaking tub.
Each bedroom has its own level. Two bedrooms have a short flight of stairs going up from the main level and two bedrooms have a short flight of stairs going down from the main level. Each bedroom has a queen bed. The garden-level queen room has French doors opening to the patio.
Downstairs is a spacious utility room with a new, front-loading washer and dryer. The owner supplies laundry soap, fabric sheets, an iron and ironing board for your convenience.

Here’s a polished VRBO review you could post:5 StarsWe had a wonderful stay at this home in Colorado Springs while visiting our son, who is stationed at Fort Carson. The house was beautiful, very clean, and located in a quiet, nice neighborhood. It offered easy access to the city and was conveniently close to restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities.Everything was comfortable and well-maintained, making it a great place to relax and spend time together as a family. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and would definitely recommend this property to others visiting the area. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
Such a charming, beautifully restored home! It was a great, centralized location that was a perfect spot for our plans. We felt very safe, comfortable in the house and the surrounding neighborhood. We would absolutely stay here again & would recommend it to othes to, too!
The ribs are very clean, but they were very difficult to get around and with all the different levels of stairways the beds were very creaky, which made a lot of noise while trying to sleep. It was very cute and it was a great stay there.
Brilliant hosts. Lovely house with all amenities. Close to shops and access to highway. Used it as a base to explore the area and nice to come back home to a spacious house, cozy patio and comfortable beds. Sad to leave.
I stayed for over two weeks! Fully equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor space & quiet area close to everything! Christy was great with any needs or questions I had & communicated quickly! Loved the property!
Beautiful older home with lots of charm! As other reviewers have posted, there are stairs to every bedroom and low head clearance in several places. As long as you can navigate that, this house is amazing! Kitchen and bathroom beautifully re-modeled, and very comfortable living room with large TV. House was well-stocked with everything we needed, and was incredibly clean. We had no need to contact the hosts but all information was very clear and as well organized as everything was I am sure there would have been very speedy resolution if there had been issues. Will definitely stay again!
We did enjoy everything but there were things that needs attention like dusty windows and the couch need deep cleaning or replacement due to big stains on it.
Overall we did enjoy or stay and looking forward to book this place again in the future.
Really enjoyed our time here. Beautiful bungalow. A few chairs need a repair but they work fine. Be careful if you’re over 6 foot tall as you’ll have to duck to go through some of the doors. Also the parking is great but tight if you have a large vehicle.
A perfect home for our entire family! Everyone had their own bedroom, and we were able to eat several meals together (the kitchen had everything we needed). It was only minutes away from the Broadmoor World Arena - where UCCS graduation was held! We will book this home again!!
We enjoyed our stay and the location was good for us. Unfortunately, only 2 bedrooms had A/C units so our older daughter's room got really warm. Otherwise, everything was great.
We enjoyed the cleanliness and charm of this 1920s craftsman house along with the updated kitchen and bathroom. The location was great for us, just a short drive to downtown entertainment in a safe, walkable neighborhood. The only thing was my husband is tall and had to duck walking through the arches and on the tight stairways. The hosts, John and Christy, were very accommodating and quick to respond. We appreciated this experience very much!
This rental was perfection down to the tiniest details, such as having more than enough to meet all our needs for an entire week. The exterior is fantastic for enjoying outdoor time together, and there is even a very nice grill. It was spotless, plenty comfortable on hot days, and minutes away from Garden of the gods, Manitou Springs and more. Our kids range in age from 15-23, and they ALL loved the property! We will be back for sure!
We loved everything about our stay at Woodburn bungalows. The craftsman style, the furnishings, full kitchen and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy meals in the amazing summer weather. The house is clean and well kept. Neighborhood is beautiful and quiet though has close highway access and quick easy access to grocery. We cooked every meal and enjoyed being close to every outdoor activity we took part in. 10/10 recommend.
This place was absolutely gorgeous. We had a set of grandparents, a 19 year old couple and adolescent brother/sister in our group. Everyone loved the house and had plenty of room. Although just one bathroom, it was really not a problem. The house was in a beautiful residential area. We were busy every day and it was great coming “home” to this house. Absolutely would stay here again. We had trouble figuring out the radiant heaters but otherwise everything was great!

Greetings and welcome! I am a fifth-generation Colorado native and I have lived in Colorado Springs my entire life. The majority of my family also live in Colorado Springs or the surrounding areas. For over 30 years, I have owned and operated a landscaping/grounds maintenance and property management business that cares for over 130 of the most beautiful estates in the immediate Broadmoor area. I live just 2-minutes from The Woodburn Bungalows and I am personally available should you need me.
Why they chose this property
"The Woodburn Bungalows" (The front house and cottage in back) were built in 1924 and the architecture of these turn-of-the-century homes have an eye-catching charm and interesting appeal. For many years, the property sat in a neglected state. I believe most people who purchase investment property would have leveled the houses, only to build a modern-looking site that would have taken away from the historic feel of the area. For so many years I was drawn to this property and I finally purchased it in 2014. After 24 months of hands-on restoration, remodeling, purchasing new everything and installing the new landscaping, I listed them for sale. However, after just a couple of months, I realized I was very attached, took them off the market and decided to turn them into vacation rentals. This property has a special appeal that seems to transport you back to a different time and it gives off such a positive, cheerful feeling. The sound of Cheyenne Creek burbling as deer and other wildlife wander about make the property seem like such a special escape. The house and the cottage each have a unique charm that I believe will leave you feeling rested and renewed.
