Great property and great host. I left an item at the house when we checked out, and the host was kind enough to send it back to me. The house was secluded yet close to Crater Lake.
This is a perfect place to stay if you're going to Crater Lake. It is a short 20 minute drive to the entrance. The kitchen is very well stocked and the house is clean and very comfortable for a large group. We loved vacationing here!
The property was amazing and it had its rustic charm and was extremely clean. It was so close to crater Lake, but coming home to the property really made the family so excited. We were able to explore the acreage and I think the kids had more fun at the property than they did at crater Lake. Definitely recommend to stay.
Kitchen well equipped. Plenty of space for our group. Outdoor stairs for upstairs inconvenient and only heat source was fireplace- temperature in the high 40’s at night. One bathroom and shower upstairs for 4 sleeping rooms limited. Access to Crater Lake good but access to grocery stores/ restaurants distant. Beautiful night sky viewing.

Crater Lake Hiking trip - Senior Mens outing
We enjoyed the convenience of being just outside the park on the south side and the quiet privacy of our location. The house was well stocked. Our lodging met our needs. The grill was satisfactorily used. Also, appreciated you accommodating our changing of our plans and reducing our stay by one night due to no fault of yours without any major penalty. I would highly recommend any group coming to Crater Lake consider this lodging option for visiting the park. I personally give your lodging a 5 star rating.
Plenty of space. Beautiful grounds. Short distance to Crater Lake. Bring mosquito repellent if you like to be outside. The host is quick to reply. The house is stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. No AC but we BBQ’d evening meals and had no issues with heat inside on a 90 degree day. We had an excellent experience at this property.
We are a Girl Scout troop (11 total) was visiting Crater Lake. The location a was unbeatable and easily able to accommodate all of us without any worry. The girls loved catching grass hoppers and exploring the property! The house has everything we needed and we all had so much fun! Thank you!
This property is a hidden gem. It’s perfect for larger gatherings. The location is close to CraterLake and is surrounded by beautiful woods. We saw deer every morning. It is extremely well stocked with ample bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, games etc. The best part of the stay was the host Cindy. She went above and beyond to accommodate anything we needed. It truly was an incredible stay.
The matriarch of the family, adult children, adult grandkids, and great-grandkids enjoyed the weekend cooking, re-visiting childhood locations and memories in the Union Creek area, and a trip to Crater Lake. The Host was VERY accomodating with pre-trip questions and information. Having family pets, and multiple places for all members to relax and enjoy the time together was exactly what was needed. To be extended family in this large house was a blessing.
This rustic log cabin is perfectly located just 15 minutes from the entrance to Crater Lake National Park, an unbeatable spot for exploring the area. The cabin has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of space for our group of seven to relax and spend time together. Our toddler especially loved the thoughtful touch of having Legos to play with. The kitchen is well equipped overall, though we did miss having basic pots for heating water, cooking oatmeal, and making pasta (we eventually found a large pot in the garage that saved the day!). The cabin would really benefit from a much more thorough cleaning, especially bathrooms, surfaces, and linens, as this was one of the main drawbacks of our stay. With more consistent attention to cleanliness, the space could truly shine. One note for guests: the décor includes hunting memorabilia and taxidermy throughout the common areas, including a bear trophy and a large cat trophy hanging on the banister. This was something we didn’t expect, as it wasn’t obvious in the listing description. My brother’s family is vegan, and they found it very upsetting, so it’s worth being aware that the atmosphere may not be comfortable for everyone. That said, the location is absolutely ideal for Crater Lake visitors, and the rustic cabin charm is perfect for a family getaway. With a few improvements to kitchen supplies and cleaning, this would be an outstanding stay.
