Beautiful home with so much to do for all ages, including extra nice touches such as kcups, firewood, etc. This host has thought of everything and makes it easy to feel at home. We played volleyball and horseshoes, kayaked and made s’mores by the fire. There were plenty of indoor games as well. My family had the best time and I highly recommend DeYoung Family Zoo. Coffee on the deck in the morning facing the water was a nice treat as well!
Lovely place with plenty of room for the family. Nice to have access to the little lake out back with kayaks, canoe and life vests available. The older kids enjoyed the pool table and hammock, and we all enjoyed a beach volleyball game right on the property. Location was so peaceful and quiet with a short drive to falls and Menominee. Host was quick to respond when I had a couple general questions.
The property was as we hoped. It was both quiet and very comfortable. We spent most of our time enjoying the view from the deck even when it was raining.
The availability of a full kitchen along with washer and dryer was fantastic. Overall, the home was nicely appointed and we didn’t lack for anything.
We enjoyed our stay at this quiet cabin. Ideal cabin for 2 couples and children. Porches on 3 sides of the cabin so you can enjoy being outside no matter if it is sunny, windy or rainy. Lots of outdoor seating. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen and a nice gas grill on the porch. We used the canoe and kayaks everyday and got to see beavers on the other side of the lake.

Perfect Family Getaway
This cottage was perfect for our family. The location is so peaceful, very quiet, on a pretty little lake. Great for wildlife viewing and star gazing. The house is lovely, very clean, and well-appointed. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, kitchen stocked with everything needed for cooking family meals. Plenty of seating inside and out. We enjoyed all the activities: corn hole, volleyball, kayaking, catch & release fishing off the dock, evening campfires, family game nights around the kitchen table, naps in the hammock, pool, and grilling on the deck. The owner was so helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had everything needed for a wonderful weekend. I'm so happy we chose this cottage for our stay in the Stephenson area, and if we ever find ourselves in the area again, I would certainly stay in this beautiful home!

Peaceful Lakeside cottage retreat.
Our stay at this charming cottage was just what we were looking for. A getaway, a retreat from the bustle of life. Close to nature, no outside noise, no traffic, peaceful setting and pleasant surroundings. It was very clean and had some extras in the cupboards. The fireplace worked well adding to the experience. We liked the pool table. The area is great for hiking, biking and just hanging out on the decks even if it was chilly. Morning coffee on the deck watching the lake activity. The were lots of things to do outside that we look forward to doing on a future stay.. Kayaking on this little private lake in the morning with the sun coming up,, horseshoes, cornhole, boating on nearby large lakes and bringing our ATVs to check out the nearby trails. The host was easy to reach and was polite, responsive and helpful. It is a great value. Next trip we will stay longer and see some of the sights in the area. This stay was all about enjoying this space, recharging ourselves. It is well decorated with a very peaceful feeling. Thanks to the hosts for sharing their happy place with us! It was just what we needed. See you again this summer.
