About this property
Kangaroo River Hideaway, Kangaroo Valley
Kangaroo River Hideaway, Kangaroo Valley - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
This beautiful, modern and welcoming home was designed and built some 20 years ago by the renowned architect Paul Pholeros. It was designed to sit lightly on the land and make the most of its elevated, spectacular location. The many windows throughout the house ensure you are never far from a beautiful view of the surrounding escarpments.
Please note:
Strictly no parties at this property - please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.
Where will I be?
Kangaroo River Hideaway is located in the Upper Kangaroo River area of Kangaroo Valley, in a beautiful secluded location. The house overlooks the stunning, rugged escarpments of Kangaroo Valley. The property is relatively remote, so plan on a 25 minute drive to the centre of the village.
Why choose Kangaroo River Hideaway?
As the name suggests, this home is the perfect hideaway! Escape from the busy world, sit and enjoy the views of the lush surroundings, listen to the bird life and spot the local wildlife that may visit. All this close to the local winery - what more could you ask for?
How is the property laid out?
The home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, two bedrooms have a queen bed, and the fourth has two singles. One bathroom has a bath, separate shower and a toilet, the other has a bath and toilet.
The kitchen is simple yet well-equipped with all the facilities to prepare a meal to share. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and opens onto the impressive covered deck. The raised lounge room has a central log burner for the cooler winter nights. There is a smart TV, but the impressive views through the continuous windows that wrap around the living space might just captivate you more than a screen!
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.
Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Take in your surroundings from the large, covered deck. There is a BBQ if you feel like cooking outdoors, and a fire pit to sit around and enjoy with your friends and family. There are grassed areas around the house and the gardens have been given a lot of attention to bring them back to their former glory.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is a reverse cycle air-conditioner unit in each bedroom, as well as one in the living room. There is a log burner in the living area for those cold winter nights.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Kangaroo River Hideaway supplies all bed linen, sheets and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Kangaroo River Hideaway has open air parking for 4 cars.
