Neighbourhood Description:

Super handy to Auckland Airport.

I recommend checking out Mangere Mountain - it's an amazing little walk to the top and around the volcano crater with spectacular views. (allow 2hrs, can walk directly from the airbnb)

Ambury Regional Park also has many lovely walks, great for seeing and interacting with farm life including sheep, goats, pigs, cows and horses. 5 minute drive from the airbnb, or 20min bus

There is a supermarket and a few decent breakfast/brunch spots in Mangere Bridge Village (15min walk, 2min drive). And even more options in Onehunga (7min drive, 15min bus). And Central Auckland (15-20mins drive, 30min+ bus) has world class dining and shopping options

Getting Around:

Uber works great for trips to/from the Airport, Onehunga, Auckland CBD, and anywhere else you want to go in Auckland. Great access to public transportation. You'll need an AT Hop Card to ride public transportation in Auckland. You can buy one at:
- Top Dairy in Mangere Bridge (10mins walk)
- Auckland Airport Domestic - there's an AT HOP Card Vending machine
- Auckland Airport International - "Take Home" shop
- ask me in advance and I can get one for you and leave it at the airbnb
