We enjoyed our stay, the yard is gorgeous! I can confirm the hide-a-bed is extremely comfy. I also highly recommend the Thai restaurant nearby. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area :)

Great location two blocks from the lake. Beautiful private property with amazing trees and plants, active bird life including hummingbirds. There is also a private outside eating area. The suite is very comfortable and tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped, Would be happy to stay here again.

The yard was lovely ! The patio. / BBQ would be a great place to hang out if staying in the warmer months. It is a daylight basement setup which upstairs sounds were clearly heard over head in the Master Bedroom .An instruction sheet re: the fireplace and TV would be beneficial .Finally, as a fundraiser for hospital foundations I work in scent free zones ! I found the vanilla scent overpowering and had to unplug and actually place the vase holding vanilla liquid outside .

This is a creatively designed apartment on the lower level of the house. It looks out onto a beautiful garden through huge windows. Some of the ceilings are low, in the original part of the house, but we found that very cozy. All of the furnishings were high quality and comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting in front of the gas fireplace and viewing the garden. The kitchen is well equipped and the town of Shawnigan Lake is a delight to visit. Don’t miss the historical museum.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rental was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful garden with outside seating. The location was perfect. A bakery was right next door and restaurants were easy walking distance. We will be back!

Cute spot with a wonderful garden. It was a lovely stay and would recommend this to anyone visiting shawnigan lake. 2 blocks from the water, and a few shops near by. It was a lovely stay

Star rating was broken on VRBO and didn’t list topics with stars. The place was very nice. Great amount of space for longer stays, even though we were just there for two nights and didn’t use half the amenities the unit provided. The communication prior and during arrival was great and very fast. The outdoor garden and grass area was a great feature specially for our dog. The bed was very comfortable if you like plush and cozy. Location was great. Just a short stroll to the lake and next to an amazing bakery. We would definitely stay here again.

This suite is genuinely lovely. The kitchen is a real treat to cook in. Well-equiped and thoughtfully laid out. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. The location is perfect for accessing shops and restaurants; everything is walkable. The rooms are comfortable with quality linens and reliable wifi. The hosts clearly care with thoughtful practical details. It's warm and welcoming, truly feels like home. Everything works beautifully. Highly recommended.

Perfect location next to coffee/ bakery with quick access to lake. A great spot to access local Kinsol Trestle/Cowichan Valley trail, Malahat skywalk, and kayak rentals.

We had a great stay and would definitely go back. Our host was wonderful to connect with, and very quick to respond to any questions we had.
