Great Place!

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Barn. This home away from home had everything we needed for an amazing family vacation. Very clean, close to everything, we will definitely be back. The hosts have really thought of everything for a great vacation and very easy to work with.

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Barn. The house was well supplied with the items we might need. It was within walking distance to many things and a short drive to everything else. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a really nice place to stay. Located in the middle of everything, walking distance to so many places. The cabin had a really cool vibe with an awesome yard and fire pit. My 13 year old son loved the upstairs bedroom. Just know, there isn’t a second bedroom. There is a Murphy bed in the kitchen/living room area. It worked out for us and we would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and quiet

The Red Barn is a very nice place to return to after enjoying all that the area has to offer. It's close to everything but on a nice, quiet street. We have stayed here for the past three years and it's been perfect. Large kitchen and comfortable beds. We will be back.

This property was just as advertised for our weekend getaway. Walking distance to all Silver Lake attractions. Extremely clean and well kept. Definitely recommend for your visit to the Silver Lake area.

Excellent Rental Right In The Heart Of It All

The red barn was an awesome place to stay. The rain shower head made it worth it by itself. My friend and I loved staying in this house as it was right in the heart of Silver Lake. We were able to walk all over the town in minutes without being tired. I would love to rent this house again when we decide to go back to Silver Lake!

Location, location, location!

Beyond the fact that we have a personal connection to the history of this property, we could not have found a better place to spend our 53rd wedding anniversary week. This charming renovated old barn is as comfortable as can be. So peaceful and quiet, yet literally centered directly in the hub of all activity that is Silver Lake. The hosts, Sharon and Jerry, have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and memorable!

Location is excellent. Cleanliness excellent. Only 1 bathroom…. not so good for 6 people. A half bathroom upstairs would be great

Very nice place. Nicely decorated. The weather was unseasonably cold & windy so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the outdoor amenities,(firepit, patio etc). Neighbor has a pitbull, that was definitely not a plus, it was good we weren't able to be outside much, if we were it may have created a problem.

We know the Terrier mix dog next door, it’s a big baby… The dog is usually hooked up to a cable that limits its movements to only their property, sorry you worried. Did you happen to see any of the wild life, cranes, turkeys, geese and deer that traverse the property? Maybe you made it down to the dock, across the street, and see the ducks, and turtles Sharon & Jerry

Great Family Stay

We had a great time at this property, with two young children (7, 4) the layout of the property was unique which was exciting for them. And the kids just kept calling it “the barn” “let’s go back to the barn” which created a fun memory. Everything was well taken care of and furnished. Communication before and after was great. The property is walking distance to so many things and the kids loved being able to walk to things. Also close driving distance to so many activities and many other great places within 30 minutes. We’re already all talking about the next trip to “the barn”
