We loved staying in the apartment!!! It was super comfortable and roomie enough for our family of 5! It was a great place to stay the holidays while being close to extended family. The owners were wonderful! We would love to stay there again!
I stayed here with 4 friends, we liked that each room had its own bathroom and the kitchen & living rooms were spacious. We had a very easy and lovely check-in process with Welela, who patiently waited for us to arrive after travel delays. The apartment is in a great location, lots of good restaurants nearby.
Spacious well stocked apartment in convenient location
This was a great space for 3 adults & 2 kids - a comfortable spacious apartment and well stocked compared to other places we’ve rented. Location convenient to Grand Lake Theater, Piedmont, and easy access to freeways. We also appreciated the ease of check in and check out, and easy to communicate with property manager in advance to prepare for the trip.
Great neighborhood. Wonderful common space including very large private deck. The 4 bedrooms are a bit on the cozy side, but each did come with its own bathroom. The host was very communicative and flexible.
This place is well maintained. It's very clean, wonderful host and fabulous patio with gorgeous flowers. Having the second key was great since there were 4 different groups doing different things. A third or forth key would have helped slightly so each could do their own thing and not had to figure out how to get in. But the second key helped a lot.
The whole place is very spacious and as are the bedrooms.

Comfortable, convenient, roomy and clean.
A very livable space and very convenient to Lake Merritt and downtown Oakland. We enjoyed having plenty of room and the 4 baths along with 4 bedrooms was a real bonus. The kitchen was very usable and well stocked. We actually prepared and dined there on Thanksgiving day.
Only suggestions: 1. Deadbolt lock. 2. More than one key.

Not quite what was advertised
The listing said there are four queen size beds. In fact, there were 3 doubles and a single bed. Fortunately, one of us didn’t show up, or we would not have had enough places to sleep. Other than that, the apartment is well located and comfortable. We enjoyed our brief visit in Oakland.

Late check-in (But Maria AMAZING)
Stay was great and the home was wonderful. When guests arrived to check-in at 6pm they were informed that the home had not been cleaned and that they were unaware that this booking had taken place. Maria, the manager, was absolutely wonderful and got someone in to clean up and get the home ready for everyone staying there. Check-In was not able to occur until after 8pm which after a day of travel for everyone that was a concern. This was not a last minute booking either since we had booked this stay in February.
The property is really spacious considering that it’s in the city. There were some issues with heating and appliances but it seems like the property manager will address them. Owner and manager were very communicative and kind.
Great neighborhood & location. It was nice to find a 4 bedroom/4 bath place. We were pretty low maintenance so once we checked in we didn’t need any interaction with the owners. Bedroom carpets could use an update.
The 4bdrm 4 ba was perfect for my new husband and my new family. The size of the patio was perfect for our after party. The owner was willing to let me into the unit earlier. The view is not of the lake., but it’s convenient to restaurants.
We rented this beautiful very centrally located apartment in Oakland to spend time together a family group of 7. The owner her assistant Maria communicated very well. She-suggested place to visit and where to eat.
we were able to visit farmers market on Saturday , Sunday Lake Merritt and Bonsai Garden. All waking distance. They have Safeway supermarket close by. This place was stocked with condiment , sugar coffee tea creamer.
Every room had boxfan. House is so peaceful and deck is serene. We had a wonderful time.
The home was cozy and had ample sleeping space for our family girls trip. The location was perfect for exploring the area and had easy freeway access. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance and the home was well stocked with all the necessities. Thank you for sharing your home!
Lovely space in great location. Beautiful deck. Our family had a very nice visit. Thank you.

Location Discrepancy
The photos and description of this property are a bit deceiving. We thought the location would be much closer to Lake Merit than it actually is. In reality it is about 4-5 blocks through a sketchy neighborhood to get to the lake where we thought it would be right there on the lake. We only got one parking place that was very tight. It was difficult to figure out how to access the property, so we initially parked on Grand Ave. to walk around and figure it out. Within 4 minutes, we got a $58 parking ticket from the City of Oakland!! Arghh! The four bedrooms are nice/clean with private bathrooms although the shower does not work in the bathtub. (Note: whoever did their tile work, should not be paid as it is the messiest grout work with broken glass tiles I have ever seen.) Some amenities were broken (like the coffee maker) and check-in was tough as they expected us to be there right at 3:00, but we got stuck in traffic and couldn't make that time so they just left the place unlocked with the key there. There is a downstairs door that locked from the other side that would feel safer/more secure if we had a way to lock it ourselves since we had no way of knowing where it goes. The surrounding restaurants were good with a variety of foods.
Our family had a great stay at this location, located very close to Lake Merritt and many, many fun businesses, restaurants, and shops. There was a slight issue with communication around the check-in, but management was super apologetic and was great and helpful for the rest of the weekend. It's also worth mentioning the place is HUGE and very comfortable. The outdoor deck by the front door is particularly lovely at sunset, but families with young kids should note that there are some shelves with boxes of semi-sharp objects accessible on it (e.g. nails, screws, tools), at least when we were there. Overall, a very pleasant stay. We'd book again!
This house was exactly what we needed for our
Outside Lands weekend. Plenty of space and lot's of very cool art around. The one thing I would say is that I think the hosts should warn their guests ahead of time about the car break ins around the neighborhood. One of our friends parked on the street for just a few minutes to make sure they were in the right place, they came back and all the windows were smashed in and ALL of their stuff was taken. Not the hosts fault of course, but we heard about a lot of break ins in the area so I think people should be warned in the future! They were very great and responsive, would absolutely stay again!!
Clean and quiet - great location for wedding obligations and family visits. Plenty of space (inside and out) to relax and enjoy company. Lots of walkable shops and restaurants to explore and airport proximity made for stress-free arrival and departure. Weather and traffic cooperated during our stay, but I'm sure we'd have been happy here, regardless.
This was a great place for myself, my husband, and our 4 kids. So many rooms and bathrooms allowed us to have some privacy while being close and minimized the bickering between kids. The kitchen was stocked, extra shampoo/toiletries, and lots of clean bedding for all kinds of weather. Only downside was the driveway was a bit tight to get into/out if and it was a bit hard to find at first since it's off the main street. Bathroom towel racks we're all broken off but that didn't bother us. Welela was so warm and gracious. We'd love to stay there again.
