Step inside this newly renovated cottage where a cozy and luxurious atmosphere awaits. High-end furnishings grace the spacious living areas, inviting you to relax on comfy couches in the living room, socialize by the 9ft island in the chef's kitchen, or gather around the large dining table where delicious meals and memorable moments with family and friends are sure to be made.

INSIDE

A fully stocked kitchen features everything you need including pots & pans, cooking utensils as well as olive oil and basic spices. In the morning, start your day off right with a hot cup of coffee or tea using the easy to operate Keurig machine or kettle.

2.5 bathrooms include 2 showers, 1 bathtub and heated floor en suite. Essential amenities are also provided, including soap, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

SLEEPING

When it's time for bed, rest assured that everyone will enjoy a fantastic night's sleep with comfortable mattresses, accompanied by fresh linens and warm, cozy blankets and pillows. The primary bedroom adds an extra touch of luxury with its spacious walk-in closet and a private en suite featuring heated floors and rainfall shower. Comfortably sleeping 8 guests, the bed layouts are as follows:

THE LAKE

Kushog Lake is one of the most sought-after lakes in the area, with pristine water for swimming, fishing or relaxing. Complimentary water toys are provided along with 4 adult life jackets in varying sizes, as well as 4 youth/infant life jackets.

INTERNET

While disconnecting is great, those who wish to stay connected can enjoy unlimited high-speed Starlink internet. Indulge in your favourite shows on the smart TV, complete with all major streaming apps at your fingertips.

THE AREA

Within a 20-minute drive, discover the finest restaurants and stores in Minden and Haliburton. This area is also a hub for incredible hiking trails, whitewater rivers, museums, and other awesome activities.

IN THE WINTER

Enjoy direct access to the main snowmobile trails from Kushog Lake, or easily trailer to near by parking lots. Complemented by a spacious, flat driveway, perfect for parking multiple snowmobile trailers with ease.

Also, just a 20-minute drive away, Sir Sam's Ski Hill offers fantastic family fun.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

Please note that the laundry room is only available upon request for guests staying 8 nights or more. For shorter stays, laundry facilities will not be accessible.

Parties and events are not allowed.

No smoking is allowed inside.

We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and dish washer tabs to get your stay off to a smooth start. If you run out during your visit, we kindly ask that you purchase any additional supplies you may need.

Bed linens and shower towels are provided for each guest, however we are unable to provide extras.

Beach towels are not provided, please bring your own.

The property is easily accessible year round with municipally plowed roads and large driveway.

No diving off the dock as water levels can change and may be shallow.

Dock is removed from Oct-April for winter months. Please also note that the water level goes down a few feet after labour day weekend.

Firewood is provided for outdoor fire pit.

Please ensure all garbage and recycling is removed upon departure, as there is no local pickup service. A landfill pass is provided for disposal. If you need assistance with garbage removal, we can arrange it for an additional fee. Use only clear garbage bags. Any left behind bags may be subject to a fee.

Sauna and indoor fireplace are only available in the winter months, Oct-April.

There are outdoor security cameras around the cottage for security purposes.

A maximum of 2 pets are allowed for a fee and by approval only. Pets must be disclosed before booking.
No puppies allowed. Dogs must be over 1 year old and fully house trained.
Dogs are not allowed on furniture, beds, or any bedding.
Dogs are not allowed to be unattended in the cottage. If you are planning to leave your dog inside at any time please bring a crate.

Checkout is 10:00 AM (15-minute grace period until 10:15am).
Unauthorized late stays will be billed at $100 per 15 minutes until 11:00 AM.
Staying beyond 11:00 AM will result in a full nightly rate charge.

Our multigenerational plus dog family enjoyed a beautiful week at Silver Maple Farmhouse. We really valued the amazing amentities - kayak, canoe, fire pit & wood, outdoor deck seating, badminton, and the dock overall. Its an easy few steps from grass to dock / rock steps, to water and a lovely sandy bottom; and all so private. The house itself is as beautiful as the pictures suggest, and all the beds and mattress' are so comfortable! Kitchen was a joy to cook in and had all we needed in terms of pots / pans / plates etc. Hot tub was clean & lastly, the night time outdoor fairy lights are magic. We saw deer! We quickly ran out of dishwasher tabs and garbage bags but the owner / property manager were quick to provide when we reached out. Great communicaiton overall. A few suggestions for your visit to make it even more enjoyable: - bring a wagon to bring down items from house to dock. - bring extra outdoor towels (no laundry) - bring portable umbrella for dock (no natural shade) - bring tin foil / saran wrap (kitchen has utentsils etc, but didn't have these items) - pack your fridge condiments i.e. ketchup etc so you don't need to buy new full size (none in fridge) Our main suggestion for future upgrades to the property, which would take it to a 5 star, would be to have a place that garbage & recycling can be stored outside of the house in-between trips to the dump. Keeping it in the house was unpleasant, and keeping it the car in the heat was even worse.
