Pros - Host was welcoming and helpful, overall check in was very smooth and easy. Kitchen was well stocked which was very helpful. Pool /outside area was lovely (minus mozzies) and kids books/games were great. Massage chair was a lovely surprise. Cons - Cleanliness could have been a bit better (cobwebs on walls / ceilings, spa bath jets dirty etc) and clearly people have used it as a party house damaging walls etc. Missing that luxury feel due to that and for price. Cords on blinds don’t meet safety reqs and a risk for kids. Check-in info could be friendlier, appreciate wanting to be strict but this was a bit off putting (900 a night and yet a large list of things to do on check out and a long list of things you’re not allowed to do). Overall a good stay, too expensive for value for a smaller group but worth it for a large group and other adults.

Thank you for the feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the smooth check-in, well-stocked kitchen, family amenities, and outdoor area.
We were surprised by the mention of cleanliness, as the property required an extensive clean following your stay, including food spillage and other cleanliness issues not typical of our guests. The spa is not listed as part of the property and as far as we know it has never worked.
Our home is not a party venue but a well-maintained family property. Minor wear and tear, such as small wall marks, does not affect its quality or comfort.
For clarity, our check-out list includes a few simple tasks, such as taking out the rubbish, cleaning the BBQ after use, and cleaning up after animals, things that are sometimes forgotten when departing. The 7 listed house rules are standard for short term accommodation and rural properties especially using tank water and a sensitive septic system, also referring to noise restrictions and smoking rules of the property, it's important to let guests know your expectations for their stay. Guests are encouraged to contact us if any issues arise during their stay so we can rectify them.
Regarding pricing, this booking was paid for by an insurer at a rate below $800 per night. The 'smaller group' of 2 adults and 2 children used 7 beds, not consistent with the registered guests on the booking. I believe our property is excellent value for money.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and wish you
