Love the kitchen. Love the view. Living room furniture especially the light brown chair with ottoman needs replacing. Chair is broken and wobbly. The stair railing is loose and is an accident waiting to happen.

The house was little ruff inside , fire place wasn’t working , electric wires sticking out carpet was dirty , hair on the bathroom floors sliding door screen wasn’t working properly getting stuck all the time , on side the of house bricks were not even tripping hazard.,rocking chair in living was broken tilting to one side , pillows on couch smelled dirty and musky

Nice but needs some work

It's a nice house with a great view. There were multiple appliances that either didn't work or didn't work properly like the refrigerator. The deck is in serious need of repair. The host was informed of the work that needs to be done so hopefully the next guests will have a better experience than we did.

Great location, nice property

The house is in an excellent location on Roads End. It is a nice house overall, however the windows and deck windows were very dirty/fogged up to where we didn't have much of a view. We cleaned a few of them up some to see out better but they all could use a good cleaning. The rest of the property could use a better cleaning as well, pet hairs under the couch and just overall not as clean as we would have liked. Other than those issues, it was a nice place and great stay!

Starting from the decor once you go in you know you are on the beach.And the views from the house and rooms are is only walking distance away .And you can see the house from the beach .The house is clean and full of supplies for your stay I was surprised how it had everything even a inflatable bed. I had a great time and would stay again .I didn't have to deal with management as I really didn't have issues so I can't review much on that side

We loved this property! The house was large, open, and airy. The windows were beautiful that looked out onto the ocean. What you can’t tell from the listing pictures is that this house (and all the Lincoln City beach properties) sits on a cliff, so it is not right on the beach. Beach access is about a block away. We were happy to find a window squeegee in the garage because we used it every other day during our stay. The wind and salty spray frequently clouds-up the windows and the plexiglass deck railing. After a quick hose-down and squeegee, it was sparkling clean, and fun to watch the ocean and the seabirds out of the large windows.The kitchen had all of the utensils and pots and pans and dishes that we could possibly need. We made a seafood boil and there was a giant pot that worked perfectly. Ping pong, puzzles & games were great!The towels and linens were soft and clean and plentiful. Soaps and shampoos were available, and the washer & dryer bonus.There were only two things that could have made this the perfect stay. Unfortunately, the door lock keypad never worked, but the management company was very responsive and had their repair crew out the morning after we checked in. They had trouble fixing it, but there was a lockbox & key, so it was fine. The second thing that could use some attention is the ceiling fans in the bathrooms and the vent cover over the stove. They all need a good wipe-down, but other than those minor things, we loved our stay!

The only thing I would change is to add some hooks to hang stuff by the door and a small dresser or something in the first floor bedroom. Also there was not recycling so we had to take care of that ourselves. There was also no cleaning supplies in the house so you have to bring your own if you have to clean anything messes. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!! Thank you!

Nice large family room area we used for a small birthday party.The house was a bit run down, pretty dirty in a lost of the rooms but bedrooms were clean. This is obviously a well used property as the cabinets throughout should have been replaced or repaired years ago. Couple of cabinets had broken door latches so they were almost falling off. I would recommend this place to others, but the price versus the quality did not match up.

The house is in a great ocean view location and had ample space for our party of 8 (2 families), and the kitchen was well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The views from the large deck are stunning, but unfortunately 4 small, cheap chairs were they only furniture to be found out there. There were a few things that need to be repaired (mainly the sliding glass door in the kitchen). Also, the beds are small (advertised as queens in the description, but they definitely felt like doubles) and nicer bedlinens would make them feel more luxurious. Overall we enjoyed our stay, though.

View is wonderful if they keep the windows clean

I had communication with the owner throughout about needing the windows cleaned and some chairs for the deck to enjoy the view at least that way. They brought some chairs so that my older mother in law could enjoy the view not being able to walk as easily. We really appreciated that. I found supplies in the garage and cleaned the large front windows on day 3 of our five day stay. This was after two days of the assurances that a vendor is coming to take care of it. ! This was my vacation task. Glad I could help. I am obviously being a little snarky but the windows were so dirty that any cleaning crew or the owner would notice it and CARE ABOUT SEEING THE VIEW when that is what you are ADVERTISING and selling. Not my job to clean the windows. Thanks. Overall the place works well for larger groups. The place could use some updates and a crew during turnover that makes sure the place is ready. Including making sure you can see the spectacular view. It was spectacular and I wished we all could have enjoyed it during our entire stay.

Great stay at Roads End Lighthouse

Reviewer Comments: The house was just as large and well appointed as the description and reviews said it was - just a perfect place for a family reunion of eight. The view of the ocean alone is worth plenty. Unlike some other guests, I thought the starter kit was generous. It would have been nice to have had some outdoor furniture on the deck and private stairs to the beach, but these are minor quibbles. My only real complaint is with gaining entrance to the house. I was suspicious of the key pad idea when I first read about it in the welcome letter and, sure enough, it didn't work. After seven tries, we gave up. Cell phone reception at the house is very poor so we reached management with difficulty. The woman we dealt with acted like our not being able to get in was just fine and perfectly understandable. If this is the case, management should warn guests about it in the welcome letter. In trying to explain to my daughter and me the location of a hidden key she came off as impatient and condescending. Eventually, we got in, but what an unfortunate first impression of our accommodations on what should have been a glorious beginning of a long-awaited vacation. We had driven from Portland straight to the house and wanted to get into the house right away. We should have received an apology for the obstacle, not impatience and condescension.

A great retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed over Thanksgiving 2021. The location and view can’t be beat. I chose this location mainly because of the downstairs bedroom for one of our family members who can’t do stairs. The kitchen was well stocked, there’s plenty of room for everyone, and the furniture is comfortable. That being said, it wasn’t perfect. The fireplace didn’t work, the housecleaner did a great job on the floors, cabinets and beds in the house, but if you looked up the walls, picture frames and pot rack were covered in cobwebs and dust. Also, we learned partway through our stay that the upstairs shower had a small leak or something into the laundry room down below that was obvious had been going on for a while because of the dark spots and paint discoloration on the laundry room ceiling. Once we learned that, we stopped using the shower upstairs and left maintenance a note since it was a holiday weekend and there isn’t reliable cell service or a landline here. All in all, we had a great stay but not quite the luxury we were hoping for at that price.
