Spotless bach, fantastic location and amazing host. The ‘forest room’ is our favourite, the fireplace is great and there is even a coffee machine!We’ve been here a few times before and we will be back many more times

Gorgeous kiwi bach vibes, loved the decor and the set up - perfect spaces for everyone to either hang out together, or find their own chill out spot. Had everything needed, just walked in with oyr food and personal items. Appreciated the extra care of a set fireplace, an espresso machine, and quality linen/towels. Location was perfect, out the back gate for a forest walk, and a leisurely stroll to the beach, coffee, and eatery. Communication from owner was excellent and timely.

A special place

The location of the bach is perfect, close to the beach and with the forest on your doorstep. Close to the dairy and the local restaurant too.The bach is amazing, clean, well appointed, having a fire was also great. Kim is a great communicator. We are about to book the next mini break here :)

Really Outstanding Property

We throughly enjoyed our stay - the location is wonderful on the coast north of Wellington - and close enough to visit many interesting things in the area - but highlight is the property - could have stayed for a month or more - regretted leaving when we had too - hopefully get a chance to come back

We really loved the house. It was clean and tidy and lots of little details had been thought of, like coat hangers for clothes and beach towels. Would highly recommend!

Everything you look for in a batch, plus a great sunset view!

A very clean and newly renovated warm house with a great fireplace and well supplied kitchen. Has a good collection of games and a deak and chairs with a beautiful view to watch the sunset. All beds were made up for us on arrival and towels provided! Perfect for our stay, 2 adults and 5 kids.

We had an absolutely ball at Waitārere! The place has a lovely, homely vibe, and the forest right out the back feels like your own private retreat. The separate bunk room was perfect for the kids, giving them their own space while we enjoyed some quiet time. The house itself is fantastic, very clean (cleaner than my house!) and I loved-loved-LOVED the kitchen - a chef’s dream! It’s well equipped with everything you: plenty of serving dishes, wine glasses ready for a relaxing evening. AND sharp knives that makes all the difference, making cooking an absolute pleasure.Kim, our host, was incredibly responsive and welcoming, offering that genuine old-school Kiwi hospitality. We loved the little touches like little trinkets around the house; yummy teas stocked in the pantry, – such a nice, thoughtful detail.***The local community added so much to our stay. The nearby Four Square store was a gem, offering delicious meals, classic Kiwi treats and fresh bread made on the premises - Plus, the coffee is excellent! The whole community were so friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained (off their screens yay!) while adults could truly relax xIt’s close enough to Levin for supplies, but we really enjoyed supporting the local shops and soaking up the community spirit. All in all, this place is perfect for families looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway with a touch of authentic Kiwi charm. Highly recommend it!
