Channel Cabin is situated in the beautiful, peaceful village of Woodbridge 35 minutes south of Hobart. Our 3 bedroom cabin boasts sweeping 180 degree views from Mt Wellington across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel to Bruny Island & Fluted Cape. Spend winter nights around the firepit chasing the Aurora Australis or relax on the deck in summer taking in the views of Wedgetail Eagles and other local wildlife.

Enjoy our comfortable, modern, countryside cabin while you bask in the beauty of Tasmania.

Things to note:
- Although we provide bedding for 5 people and can accommodate up to 5 adults - we would suggest the cabin is modest and is more designed for 3-4 people in mind including children.

Please also note there is an outdoor table only to ensure the cabin is spacious.

The fire provided is a wonderful way to spend an evening, however it may be unavailable during Fire Restriction periods here in Tasmania.

Pricing - Seasonal offers of pricing include our nightly rate but do not include cleaning fee ($75) and AirBnB Guest Fees.

As we are reliant on rainwater we do ask our guests are conservative with the use of their water during their stay.

Highly recommend Channel Cabin if you are planning a day trip to Bruny Island. It is just a short drive away from the ferry in Kettering. The boat cruise from Adventure Bay was the highlight of our trip!The cabin was very clean and cosy. The heat pump was sufficient to heat the whole cabin. The kitchen was well equipped and we really appreciated having the air fryer and coffee pod machine. Our son loved the kid's bedroom with a thoughtful collection of books and toys.We witnessed the most beautiful double rainbow during our stay

Bonus aurora

Super cabin with amazing views over the water. Bonus aurora while we were there, and it was so nice to sit around the campfire under the starry sky and with the southern lights for company. Pod coffee machine was a bonus, lots of books and games, comfy beds, everything was great. Will be back!

Had one night booked, after half an hour booked another night. Less than 10 mins to Bruny Island ferry terminal. Beautiful location. View is outstanding.

Photos doesnt look right

Outdoor photos of the property is very misleading and its a shame. Photos show as property is right next to the sea shore on rock but its far away.

Hi Uday, Unfortunately, I believe you were looking at the photos that were of Peppermint Bay - a local restaurant in Woodbridge less than 1km from Channel Cabin. The photos were clearly marked as Peppermint Bay; we apologise for any confusion. Wonderful for a family

Hosts were communicative, nice, and accommodating. The place was nice and quiet with a beautiful view. Kids room had toys and books that our 6-year-old enjoyed. There were 2 fans and the A/C worked pretty well, which maybe most people don't care about, but if you're like us... you do. WiFi was a bit sketchy but I've given them some advice on how to resolve it, so I expect your experience will be better. Beds maybe not the most comfortable but I suppose people have different tastes. All told, I highly recommend. Based on our other experiences in Tasmania, this was well above average.
