The home itself was okay with the exception of the TV not working and a broken lamp twisting off the wall. The real issue with this rental is the neighborhood. My family felt very unsafe. We missed the turn because the stop sign was knocked down and laying next to the road. Parked cars and RVs (some not used in years) surrounded the house making it difficult to even find the actual house. I cannot recommend this house for anyone looking to bring their families to the Oregon coast looking for a comfortable, quiet getaway. The house is indeed affordable, but we were simply not comfortable staying there.

Check in was easy and the kitchen was well equpped. The bedding was stained and the sheets had holes. Also, if you can’t check in until 4pm, checkout should be later. The link for the directions is not accurate.

The TV didn't work. A technician came when everyone was gone, and got a gray screen on the TV. There were 4 remotes with no instruction for any of them. The second week everyone brought their laptops. the refrigerator door doesn't open completely so the bottom drawer is unusable. Parking is tight.

The house itself is in a nice, quiet location, tucked away in Nehalem and a short drive to both downtown Nehalem and the beach in Manzanita. It was clean and comfortable. It was slightly hard to find, just because the house is tucked back in the trees with a small, gravel driveway.The check-in process had some issues, we were alerted only 6 hours in advance that our check-in had been moved from 4:00PM to 7:30PM. While we ended up getting a text just after 6 that it was ready for us to check-in, we still had to call the property manager to get in because the door code we were given did not work.If you're a light sleeper, note that even the smallest sounds from downstairs will echo up into the loft bedroom. Overall I'd give a 7/10 with the issues being largely administrative.

We very much enjoyed the size of the house. It has a well appointed kitchen, a beautiful deck and balcony areas, spacious bedrooms and a wood stove that came in very handy for the cloudy coastal weather. Our biggest concern was the mattress on the futon in the third bedroom - horrible! You can not count that as a sleeping area, even for children. We were also disappointed with the neighborhood. For the nightly price of the house - even though the house was nice - you are surrounded by mobile homes and lots of old RV's in the front yard. Just not what we expected.
