This was a super great escape from the hustle and bustle we are in every day. This was our first time visiting VT and Doug made it very easy with great communication. The cabin is in a great place for exploring and dining. Two dogs (80lb and 30lb) and two people was a little tight, but the layout made it easy to fit all of our stuff. The cabin is well thought out and has all the perks needed. I would highly recommend this location!
I was fortunate to be the first one to stay here. There is a nice little town of Brandon about 9 min down the road. I'd highly recommend the River Pub and Grill if you want to eat out, the steak sandwich was fantastic. If want to cook for yourself, grab some groceries at Hannaford grocery store, they had quite a versitile selection to choose from. The listing was accurate in describing what to expect during your stay. I was given given permission to hike on the property, picking some wild blackberries in the process. There was quite a large stock of firewood provided with kindling to start a fire. Matches were provided, but bringing a lighter might be worth it. There were several solar powered lights along with gas and oil lanterns that provided more than enough light. There is a usb charging port to charge your phone, and I was able to get 4G service with Verizon.
If you want a quiet and cozy stay to relax and unwind, I think this is a great place to stay. If I find myself back in Vermont, I will stay here again.
