It is always pleasure to come to Vermont every year for foliage and stay in "our home away from home". We never missed an opportunity to stay in our favorite cabin on Perch Pond. Thanks a lot!
The cabin is absolutely lovely, on a gorgeous property and a beautiful pond with clear water, great for swimming and family fun. It was great for our family of 5, relaxing and comfortable. We paid the fee for linens and were surprised to be provided with beautifully handmade quilts for every bed.
It was absolutely perfect, waking up kayaking on the pond taking the canoe out with my son exactly the escape we needed. The house was perfect very clean. Look forward to going back one day.
This was the perfect family getaway. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed. My kids loved fishing in the pond, swimming to the raft and boating. We are looking forward to going back!
If you come across thus listing..do not hesitate! Beautiful and spacious home. It has Everything you need Just unpack clothes and groceries and start you vacation. Plenty of water floats..canoes..life jackets. Just steps away from the water with nice dock to relax..swim platform. Peaceful..calm..enjoyed eating and relaxing on the spacious deck facing water. Terrific hosts. We had the most wonderful getaway and recharge. Wed love to come back!
We wanted to stay in a place that allowed us to travel to other towns and states. It was a pleasure to return each day or two depending on far we travelled - we did a 2 day stay in Montreal. It was private and provided all the feelings of being a home away from home.
The cabin was cozy, clean, and had all the basic essentials. We found the beds to be quite comfortable. Sitting on the porch deck with the morning coffee was like heaven - no worries, just total relaxation. Hanging out at the waterfront dock was peaceful as well. No motorized boats allowed, so the only noises we really heard was the rustling autumn leaves in the wind and the falling acorns. The fall colors reflecting into the pond was magnificent.I wasn't sure about the dining and living areas, so I am attaching a few photos to this review in case others are wondering. The cabin has a flat screen and DVD player. We brought a small smart TV to watch baseball playoff games in the evening and the WIFI worked great for streaming. Dan Beavin the host was very prompt in answering all our concerns. We stayed 3 nights and hopefully will return in the future.
This was our fourth stay at this beautiful Vermont house, and as always—it was just perfect. The house is cozy and well-kept, the pond is peaceful and lovely, and the whole atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel your shoulders drop and your mind unwind.Everything about it feels like a little retreat from the world. We love coming back here—it’s become a bit of a tradition for us. Already looking forward to the next visit!
We had a great stay at Dan's cabin! It's a real log cabin and much larger and nicer than even the pictures suggest. We enjoyed the peacefulness of our stay in the woods. It was a lovely drive back into the property, and the water front didn't disappoint! My son and I found a baby painted turtle and a frog. He fished and caught a sunfish. We swam and explored. While in the area we also took a drive to Killington to do some of the summer outdoor activities. Great stay!!The only thing I would recommend is a different location of the fire pit, maybe closer to the cabin, but other than that it was great! Including some photos of our stay and the cabin!
We all had a wonderful time, enjoying this cozy, homey cabin, and the fantastic view over Perch Pond. We were comfortable inside, and took many walks outside... beautiful!
