Its long sandy beaches offer great views over the Solway Estuary to the mountains of Southern Scotland, giving an added dimension to this Cumbrian hotspot. Within a few hundred yards you have a great pub serving food and real ale, a famous ice cream shop and a kid’s playing field with climbing frames and football goals.
