This large luxurious house is newly renovated with all the modern amenities and is located near the Cliffs of Moher. It is on the coast road and Burren Way. It has gorgeous views of the Cliffs of Moher and Atlantic Ocean as well as the surrounding countryside. It is an ideal location to enjoy the many attractions in the surrounding area. Close to the villages of Doolin, Lisdoonvarna, Fanore and Lahinch. it is the perfect base for exploring the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, the Burren, and within easy reach to the many attractions, great entertainment and culture in Clare and Galway.

This beautifully decorated house has been carefully renovated and expanded to provide all the modern comforts of a home away from home while keeping features of the old cottage charm. The design of the house provides tremendous natural light in every room. This brings the surrounding countryside and marine views into the house. Sit by the fire as you look out at the Cliffs of Moher and enjoy the panoramic view.

There are high ceilings, open space rooms including two large sitting rooms with dining area, two flat screen smart TVs, Sonos sound bar and two multi fuel stoves for lovely fires. WiFi I is included.

The new large custom eat in kitchen includes the highest standard appliances and is fully equipped for self catering. The window seat is a great place to enjoy a cup of your favorite brew and another spot to enjoy the view of the Cliffs and the surrounding countryside.

The three en suite bedrooms all look out on gardens and have views of either the Cliffs or surrounding countryside. Bedroom one has a king size bed. The ensuite has both a walk-in shower and separate bathtub. It looks out onto the front garden. Bedroom two has a king size bed that can be converted to two single beds. It is en suite with walk-in shower. It looks out onto the back garden and water feature. Bedroom three features a queen size bed. It has a walk-in shower in the ensuite. It also looks out onto the back garden and water feature.

The outdoor space includes gardens with native plants that attract a variety of local birds and butterflies. The imaginative rock gardens include a pond with waterfall. There is plenty of seating to sit in front of the house and view the cliffs of Moher and Atlantic Ocean while enjoying your tea and coffee in the morning or your favorite evening beverage. Enjoy your meals outside too at our new Moher stone patio complete with large table and benches with backs as well as cushions and pillow to enjoy your meals comfortably while viewing the cliffs and Atlantic Ocean and enjoying the many birds that frequent our bird feeders.

There is ample parking both in the front yard and in the separate parking area across the road from the front gate. If you like have a picnic or snack at the picnic table on our property across the road and be that much closer to the views.

This home was the highlight of our time in Ireland. The home is the type of place that you could live in. It is very clean and well maintained. I could not recommend this property enough to anyone staying in the Doolin/Lisdoonvarna area. It was beyond beautiful, had everything we could possibly need, and was an easy drive to Doolin, Cliffs of Moher, and other area attractions. Two of the 3 bathrooms had showers that were easily accessible using a wheelchair. The house itself was easy to maneuver through using my manual wheelchair. Mary was wonderful to work with and she sent us an amazing list of recommendations in the area. If you are traveling to this area - stay here! It is the perfect Wild Atlantic Way home.

The house was phenomenal, the property manager was excellent, and very easy to communicate with. The location in Lisdoonvarna was close to many wonderful attractions too many to list. Would definitely stay at the house again If we were in that part of Ireland. Excellent value and highly recommended.

What an amazing find! We stayed at this gorgeous place for 3 nights with grandparents, parents, and young kids. It was so perfect! The house itself is clean and beautiful, there is plenty of room, plenty of seating, the rooms were very comfortable, and the location was great. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pans/place settings/silverware/kitchen utensils to cook and eat with. You definitely need a car for this spot- Doolin and Lisdoonvarna were about 10mins away each and Galway about 1.5 hours. Mary was very communicative and gave us all the tips for the house and area in an email ahead of time. The only downside, and this is being picky, was that the internet didn’t work very well in the sunroom or bedroom in the back. Would100% recommend and would definitely stay again!

Amazing house with a view!

This property was better than we could even imagine! When we pulled into the driveway and could see the cliffs and ocean from the house we knew we picked the perfect place. The inside was clean and had everything we needed to feel at home, including a kitchen the gave us the ability to prepare meals like we would at home. Mary was a great host providing us with detailed information about the property, how to travel there, and things to do in the area. We hope to return here in the future!

Great spot near the coast

The house is just as it’s presented and the glowing reviews are very accurate. The house is centrally located yet out & away. Very comfortable spot for our party, including all the necessities. Mary provided all kinds of info on sites, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Everyone in our party raved about the house. Oh, and Georry the property manager is a hoot! Book your stay - you will love it!

An absolute gem!

We could not have been more pleased with Clare Rose Cottage. It was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 2 children (11&12yo). Pictures do not do it justice. From the front view overlooking the cliffs to the beautiful garden out back and cow pasture. The house is immaculate and updated. Unfortunately, we actually spent little time in the house. In the time we did, the house is extremely comfortable and felt like home with plenty of space and sitting areas for everyone. Mary was an absolute pleasure to deal with and could not have been more hospitable. Leading up to our trip she covered just about everything we could think about. Definitely hope to make it back to Clare Rose Cottage in the near future!

Wonderful house in the Doolin/Lisdoonvarna/Burren area!

Clare Rose house was perfect for our group of 6 adults. The house has a great layout for communal hanging out and the ability to tuck away for more privacy. The modern kitchen is roomy and open with a big gas stove with multiple ovens. There are 2 comfortable living rooms, one with gorgeous views to the cliffs, and a lovely sun room looking out over the garden. All 3 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The house has ceramic flooring throughout and our room and bath had in floor heating - no musty carpeting or curtains which can be an issue in Ireland. Communication with the house owner is easy. When we had a minor plumbing issue, it was resolved quickly. We will definitely return - can’t imagine staying anywhere else when visiting the west!

Gorgeous cottage in a gorgeous setting

We had the BEST stay at Clare Rose Cottage! After multiple 2-night stays all over Ireland we were so excited to settle in for this 4-night stay, to wrap up our trip. And it didn’t disappoint! This cottage has every amenity, not to mention lovely flower gardens in front / back yards. And off in the distance (the HUGE pic window in sunroom addition is amazing) there are views of the ocean / Cliffs of Moher. And I know I should NOT say this … we came to a foreign country to experience new things (!) … but the comforts of home that our other 4 vrbo’s didn’t have on this trip were a delight. Top sheets, wash cloths, a drip coffee maker, giant fridge & showers, smart TV’s, and (my fave) a SEPARATE washer & dryer … Clare Rose cottage had it all. (Kitchen and baths all recently renovated.) Cottage is close to Doolin & Lisdoonvarna both, for pubs, music, groceries etc … and we did easy day trips to Galway, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Burren. Also I can’t stress enough … check out Ballinalacken Castle too if you stay here. It wasn’t even noted in my guidebook, but it’s literally 5 min away. Next to the teeny 15-room 1930’s-built hotel is a very cool ruin / watch-tower from the 1600s that you can tour w/ the owners … not to mention the Michelin-starred meal we enjoyed in the tiny restaurant, post tour. Very cool, esp after we’d been turned off by the HORDES at Cliffs of Moher that morning 🙁 Mary was amazing to work with too - very responsive. Highly recommend!

Sunny, well-renovated home convenient to Cliffs of Moher, Lisdoonvarna town, Doolin, and Fanore. The kitchen is exceptionally well designed and equipped for cooking everyday and gourmet meals, and the dining room is a lovely place to enjoy them. Mary is communicative, helpful, and knowledgeable. We were a couple but the house is well designed also for a family or several couples, with several en suite bathrooms and privacy as well as communal spaces. The lovely garden and landscaping add to the scenic view of the cliffs.

Amazing stay with Cliffs of Moher view

Clare Rose cottage was absolutely stunning. First I want to say that Mary was so quick to respond to my questions and sent me an awesome email with everything i needed to know about our trip. The caretaker of the cottage, Gerry was so so friendly and helpful, it made the trip that much better! The cottage looks like something out of a magazine and pictures don’t do it justice. The house was meticulously taken care of. We loved the art decor on the walls and the beautiful flowers scattered throughout. The surrounding landscape is absolutely stunning. With a farm backing up to the property, we enjoyed the precious cows that would come right up to the fence line to say hello, and the gardens around the house were so so lovely. One of the sitting rooms in the house has a giant window that had a direct view of the cliffs of Moher, so amazing! I appreciated that you had the ability to lock every door. The kitchen was amazing and definitely had everything you needed to prepare meals. We were traveling with a family of 8, including one toddler. Everyone loved this house so much, it was so beautiful and comfy. It was very short drive to different towns for eating and doing a little shopping. About a 15 minute drive to the cliffs of Moher visitor center. The Burren surrounds this area and you won’t run out of things to do! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Perfect stay

Mary’s house was perfect and even better than the site suggests! My family (three couples) used the house as a base for our trip. Check in process was very quick and easy, and Mary was very responsive and accessible throughout. She goes out of her way to give suggestions around things to do and knows the area quite well. The property is wonderful, well-outfitted, clean and modern. Highly recommend!

My family has a long history in the area. The surrounding countryside and Cliffs view have given me many happy memories with family and friends. We have found peace and tranquillity here as well as a love of the people and beauty of the surroundings. I believe this area to be a very special place and one that is worth the time to explore in addition to a visit to the cliffs. I feel very fortunate to have a home here and I want to share it with as many people as possible so they can see and enjoy for themselves the many ways to enjoy the activities and beauty it has to offer.

Why they chose this property

This area is extremely desirable as it is close to the Cliffs, the Burren, the Geopark and the music of Doolin and Lisdoonvarna. While close to all these and more it provides quiet privacy and views that you can only find in the countryside. The expansion and renovation of this cottage was a labor of love. It is the perfect location to enjoy the surrounding scenic area and then come back to all the comforts of home.

The house has been designed to maximize the natural light in the house so that the lovely countryside, Cliffs of Moher and ocean views come into the house. There is open planning to maximize family space.
