Petit-Gite-Eymet is 4-star classified, self-catering holiday cottage in a quiet location within Eymet in the Dordogne region of France. The cottage is detached, private and genuinely only 5 minutes walk from Eymet's centre and vibrant medieval square. Up to 4 people are comfortably accommodated in the cottage which has an open-plan living/dining area with vaulted ceiling, well-equipped kitchen, shower room and 2 bedrooms with generous sized beds and gorgeous bed linen. Shutters help to keep guests cool during the summer months whilst a wood-burning stove and electric heating means the cottage is cosy in cooler months. French doors lead to the south-facing dining terrace with BBQ, enclosed garden with lawn and mature trees. The property has it's own swimming pool and sun deck with loungers and parasols. Outdoor games include table tennis and swing ball. Eymet holds a year-round weekly market, summertime night markets, gourmet evenings in the Park, a Christmas market, various festivals, fetes and music events throughout the year. Guests are offered free private car parking, Wi-Fi and French and British TV.

Le Petit-Gite was a lovely property very clean, well equipped and in a great location within easy walking distance of Eymet. Communication with Rachel was very good. The gite has a lovely sunny patio for alfresco lunches. We enjoyed our stay it is a lovely area for a holiday.

We wanted to be private, with; a personal pool, parking on site, modern accommodation, outside space, good WiFi and UK tv, quiet location, and especially within easy walk to a beautiful town.Well this property meets all these expectations. The hosts are so welcoming and accommodating and the chite is very special, very clean, modern and so perfect for a holiday. We had a lovely time and will be coming back.

A perfect accommodation, perfectly furnished & perfectly located, From the moment we booked, communication from Rachel was excellent, answered any questions we had very quickly and made the whole build up stress free. Check in and arrival was simple. The gite is so well set up, Rachel and Chris have thought of everything. A few minutes stroll into Eymet which is a find in itself, plentiful restaurants and bars, full of character. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and I can see why and totally agree with every review of this perfect holiday destination. A perfect 10.

 this is the place to stay in Eymet. It’s gorgeous, fully equipped, spotlessly clean, beautiful white bed linen and towels, hot water showers, fully equipped kitchen, Tv, simply everything you can think of, log burner for the winter swimming pool and gardens, BBQ for the summer. Off street parking. Near to fabulous historic town with boutiques, restaurants and markets. This a beautiful peaceful place in a peaceful area. We loved every moment and you will too. Honestly it is the best, we WILL be back.

Home away from home

Le Petit Gite is charming, perfectly located within an easy walk of all the facilities of Eymet. We were just a couple, but the accommodation is well set up for 4 people and everything has been thought about. The owners are discreetly available- meaning you have the luxury of privacy but safe in the knowledge that Rachel and Chris are on hand to help at any time. We thoroughly relaxed- enjoying market trips, bike rides, dinners and drinks in Eymet and just enjoying this lovely space. Definitely recommend!

La maison est chamante, propre et fonctionnelle, bien équipée. L'espace extérieur est trÚs agréable. La piscine privative, grande, propre et bien exposée, a fait le bonheur des petits et des grands. Un séjour bien agréable - A very pleasant stay

Nous venons de passer un semaine fort agrĂ©able dans ce gĂźte, malgrĂ© une mĂ©tĂ©o capricieuse pour la rĂ©gion. Ce gĂźte n'est certes pas grand mais il est bien Ă©quipĂ©. A la diffĂ©rence de nombreuses locations, ici les literies sont vraiment de qualitĂ© et, Rachel, la charmante maĂźtresse des lieux, a pensĂ© Ă  vous: non seulement une bouteille de vin, une baguette et des biscuits vous attendent Ă  votre arrivĂ©e, mais tout ce dont vous avez besoin est prĂ©vu (dĂ©tergent vaisselle, pastilles lave-vaisselle et lave-linge, thĂ©, papier toilette, sopalain et j'en passe). La maison est rĂ©cente et tout y est nickel Ă  l'intĂ©rieur. A l'extĂ©rieur, vous aurez le plaisir de profiter d'une piscine et de transats autour. Sans oublier une table de tennis de table et d'un hamac qui ont fait le bonheur de notre fils. La maison est Ă  quelques centaines de mĂštres seulement (accessible Ă  pied, sans aucun problĂšme) du centre de Eymet, une belle ancienne bastide, trĂšs prisĂ©e des Anglais, oĂč il fait bon vivre et s'y promener. Et les habitants du coin sont sympathiques. Bref, l'endroit Ă  plus d'un atout et il constitue un point de dĂ©part idĂ©al pour visiter cette magnifique rĂ©gion qu'est le PĂ©rigord.

Why they chose this property

This year, 2019, we excitedly began our new venture "Petit-Gite-Eymet". Our aim is to offer excellent holiday accommodation, with everything that guests need for a super stay. Our family home is just a 5 minute drive from Petit-Gite-Eymet and therefore, in the unlikely event of any problems, we are close at hand to help!

What makes this property unique

Genuinely only 5 minutes walk from Eymet's centre and vibrant medieval square. You'll have a choice of restaurants and café bars within easy walking distance. Although so close to the centre, Petit-Gite-Eymet is tucked away is a quiet lane and a few steps away from town you're in rural France! The property boasts a delightful swimming pool and sundeck, shady hammock and outdoor games such as table tennis and swing ball. Eymet holds a year-round weekly market plus Summer night markets, gourmet evenings and so much more....
