The house was beautiful and accommodated us all very well. We enjoyed our first ever trip to New Mexico and the fiesta is wonderful and well organized.
We are a group of 6 adults who went to Albuquerque for the Balloon Festival. The house had easy access to main roads/freeways yet was in a quiet, lovely neighborhood. The front balcony allowed us views of the hot air balloons each morning and the back yard with its hot tub gave us a pleasant respite later in the day.
The house was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The owner was quick to respond to questions and very easy to deal with.
We would definitely stay there again were we to return to Albuquerque in the future.

A very clean and modern home. Owner was very courteous and accommodating.
The home was professionally cleaned the day we arrived. The owners agent spent a great deal of time showing us around and helping us get settled. They could not have been kinder or more gracious.
The home is clean and modern. As it is a custom home on a hill the layout is a little non traditional with the kitchen upstairs and the TV room downstairs. It is a great house though. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt fortunate to have such a host.
The home is in SW Albuquerque. Though the outlying area was not great the immediate neighborhood was fine.
Bottom line - we would happily rent the home again. Well recommended.
Beautiful home, great views but is the hosts' personal residence
Joseph's home is indeed beautiful - fantastic views, grand high ceilings and tall doors, a pristine back yard and comfortable gathering areas both inside and outside. The house was clean and well equipped, and we enjoyed our stay. Joseph was responsive to any questions. The location was convenient to freeways, groceries, restaurants and was near our family we were visiting.
What was not obvious to us at the time of booking, was that this is Joseph's primary residence - which caused some inconveniences which we did not foresee:
- Unlike a typical vacation home, there was no closet space available for our clothes. There were a couple of portable hanging racks in the downstairs rooms, but the only space for putting clothes away in the master was small drawers on the bedside tables.
- In the master bathroom the drawers were pull of personal affects. There was nowhere to put away our toiletries. Things like a hairdryer were crammed in the drawers with toothbrushes making it feel awkward to use.
- Though the listing was factually correct that the home had four bedrooms, we didn't learn until check-in that only three would be available to us. We would not have booked the home had we known this in advance as we were counting on each of the kids having their own bedroom.
- Christian iconography is pervasively displayed throughout the home which we found unusual for a vacation rental
- Though there was plenty of room in the fridge for groceries, it was a little odd to not have the entire fridge and pantry available to us - which seems to be customary in other vrbo properties.
If we were not traveling with three children who were at the age where they need their own private bedrooms, we would definitely stay at the home again, but we would have preferred to be aware of the above in advance.
Very nice home. Well -appointed; great location; clean; comfortable; it had almost everything.
5-rating given to house, but check-in procedure unnecessarily very cumbersome. It would have been SO much easier to go to home on our own (using the keypad to enter) and meet up with manager at her convenience for the tour and introduction to house. It turned out that we had to change our check-in time then had to call to reschedule meeting time with manager before we could get in. There was miscommunication, and we ended up having to wait for an hour to get in.
The introductory tour was appreciated and worthwhile, but it could easily have happened whenever the manager could get there- not before we could check in.
TV was a major issue too. Members of our group were expecting to be able to watch baseball playoffs and important (to us) college football games during our stay. We could not get the tv to work at all during our entire stay. The manager and owner tried to be helpful, but we were told it was an internet problem, and there was nothing that could be done to fix the problem. This was a MAJOR disappointment.
In short, we loved the house, but the check-in process and the lack of television reception were major black marks. Both need to be fixed.
Good location near enough to old town and Balloon Fest.
Very nice, lots of room and rooms, amenities and fire places. TV however was difficult to use. Some of us wanted to watch football but was unable to figure it out, but that was not a show stopper. The ladies did not like the kitchen faucet, said it was too completed. I liked it.

The home is beautiful and in a nice place. It would have had 5 stars if it received a little more TL
The location was great for us. Close to grocery, easy access to I40 and to Central Avenue. The deck and back yard are great. The sports memorabilia was super. The house needs a little maintenance though, nothing serious.

Warm, Inviting & Perfect For Our Family Holiday
Our family was looking for the right spot to host our family holiday gathering and Casa Sapien could not have worked better! With just the right amount of space and amenities (including a phenomenal view), we would highly recommend this home to anyone interested in a relaxing trip to the Albuquerque area. One other great aspect of this property: It is conveniently located to everything you need for airport or highway travel, shopping, restaurants and downtown access. We had a great time!

Beautiful, spacious home with easy access to Albuquerque sites!
We were one of three couples who recently stayed at Casa Sapiens for a week while attending and photographing the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. The house was large, well-maintained and had all the amenities that we expected and many more! All the bedrooms are huge and have attached bathrooms so that each couple was able to have a comfortable private space to themselves. The shared spaces (dining room, kitchen, media room, and living room) were also large and comfortable. The house is located in a nice housing development close to a freeway entrance which made getting around Albuquerque a breeze. The owner was very responsive and easy to contact for information. We highly recommend this property for your next visit to Albuquerque!
