If you are a dynamic person, trekking lovers, but at the same time you are looking for a quiet place, in a natural oasis, with a stunning sea view, where you can relax to the sound of cicadas, STOP HERE:
"Paradiso San Giacomo" is the right place for you!

only 3 km. from the Lavagna highway exit, on the Cogorno hill with a wide sea view over the Gulf of Tigullio up to Portofino and on the clearest days Capo Mele, the Maritime Alps and Corsica.

The property is surrounded by 2000 square meters of fenced ground supported by old dry stone walls, olive trees, fruit trees, hazelnuts, chestnut trees, meadows, a small wood next to it and the path "the slate road", thus forming a peaceful natural oasis.

On warm summer evenings a light breeze from the sea reaches the hill.
The house built entirely of stone (strictly dry) is not isolated and can only be reached via steps that are part of the path.

You can park your car along the quiet country road that runs below the house (but is not visible).

For added security, ONLY the exterior entrances to the house are under video surveillance.

We had the most wonderful stay at Monica's charming mountain farmhouse near Chiavari. The house itself is beautiful - full of rustic character yet very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The views of the mountains and surrounding countryside are breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to unwind after exploring the Ligurian coast.Monica is truly an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering thoughtful touches and local recommendations that made our trip extra special. If you're looking for an authentic, peaceful escape on the Ligurian coast, this is the perfect place. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others seeking an authentic experience and are physically able to navigate the lengthy staircase leading to the house.

Almost Paradise

It was a fantastic stay in Paradiso San Giacomo. The magnificent view was the first in the morning which we enjoyed with an espresso and the last in the evening with a glass of wine. Great and quiet Location/House with stunning views from 300 meter over the sea level. However, you need to be a bit fit to make the 120 steps from the street to the house. escpecially with the luggage in the beginning.

Beautiful house with a great view!

We (a family of four) had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The view over Chiavari and the Ligurian coast and hills is breathtaking. In Chiavari you can find some very good restaurants and shopping possibilities. The house lies quiet in the hills but not far away from the autostrada so that you can also do some trips to Genova, Cinque Terre, Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure or Portofino. All in all a perfect place to relax. Thank you Monica for a beautiful holiday!

A lovely house, great garden and an absolutely stunning view. The house was bigger than we thought, fully equiped and nicely decorated. Communication with hostess was perfect. Upon our arrival she sent us an e-mail with detailed information of Liguria. And also during our stay, Communication was great and super friendly. She even warned us for upcoming bad weather. We really felt welcome!

Our stay at this charming stone villa was simply unforgettable. The location is absolutely stunning – perched above the Ligurian coast with a view that takes your breath away. The sunsets in particular were magical, every evening painting the sky in colors we will carry in our memories forever.The villa itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. From the cozy living room to the inviting bedrooms and the lovely outdoor spaces, it is clear that a lot of care and love has gone into every detail of this house. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus, welches sauber und gut ausgestattet war. ;) Nach der Fitnesseinheit (Treppen zum Haus) wird man mit einer wundervollen Aussicht und einem schönen Garten belohnt ;)Die Kommunikation mit Monica war vorbildlich. Der CheckInn war frĂŒher möglich und unkompliziert. Wir wurden mit einem Willkommensgruss auf dem Tisch ĂŒberrascht. Es gab sogar weihnachtliche Deko in dem Ferienhaus :) und Lichterketten an den OlivenbĂ€umen. In dem Ferienhaus, welches liebevoll und kreativ eingerichtet ist, fehlte es uns an nichts.Monica hat uns mit nĂŒtzlicher Informationen zu AusflĂŒgen, Wanderungen, Veranstaltungen, ... auf dem Laufenden gehalten. Zudem liegen in dem Haus reichlich Informationen aus. Das Ferienhaus verfĂŒgt ĂŒber eine Zentralheizung und einem offenen Kamin, welchen wir sehr gerne genutzt haben und fĂŒr gemĂŒtliche Stimmung gesorgt hat. Wer Ligurien kennt, kennt die Straßen dort ;) Enge Straßen, wenig Platz, wenig ParkplĂ€tze. Das Haus verfĂŒgt ĂŒber eine Parkmöglichkeit am Straßenrand, was fĂŒr unseren Combi völlig ausreichte. Vielen Dank fĂŒr den schönen und erholsamen Urlaub, Monica!

Was uns hier nicht gefallen hat:- die Auffahrt auf den Berg ist eine schmale, steile, mehrere Kilometer lange Serpentinen-Straße. Dennoch rege befahren, auch von MĂŒllabfuhr und Baufahrzeugen! Wir haben Blut und Wasser geschwitzt- Man parkt auf eben dieser Straße, kein regulĂ€rer Parkplatz. Außer Sichtweite des Hauses, keine Wendemöglichkeit in der NĂ€he- Das Haus ist extrem hellhörig. PrivatsphĂ€re gibt es nichtDer Clou kam zum Schluss: Wir waren kaum zwei Stunden abgereist, da erhielten wir von der Vermieterin ein Foto von einem Sessel. Dieser hatte im Wohnraum gestanden und war mit einem weißen Laken abgedeckt gewesen, genau wie ein zweiter Sessel und die Couch. Auf dem Foto konnte man sehen, dass die SitzflĂ€che des Sessels unten herausgebrochen war. Wir haben umgehend erklĂ€rt, dass wir den Sessel nicht beschĂ€digt haben. Wir haben ihn aber von Anfang an als unbequem wahrgenommen. Sie fragte, warum wir das nicht gemeldet hĂ€tten. Wir fragten, was wir hĂ€tten melden sollen: einen alten Sessel, der uns zu unbequem war? Aufgrund des Lakens war fĂŒr uns kein Schaden ersichtlich gewesen. Sie schickte die handgeschriebene Kaufrechnung, ausgestellt auf den Namen „Monica“ und schrieb, sie mĂŒsse jetzt die Kaution von 300 EUR einziehen, um den Sessel reparieren zu lassen. Eine Differenz wĂŒrde sie zurĂŒckerstatten. Wenn wir den Schaden gemeldet hĂ€tten, hĂ€tte sie die Vormieter haftbar machen können. Wir haben nie wieder etwas von ihr gehört, geschweige denn eine RĂŒckerstattung erhalten

Nach 13 Tagen immer noch keine Kaution von 300 zurĂŒck, obwohl schon bestĂ€tigt wurde das wir natĂŒrlich nichts kaputt gemacht haben und auch keinen MĂŒll in das NebengrundstĂŒck geschmissen haben. Deshalb nun doch diese Bewertung. Das Schild ist schon vom Nachbarn eine Frechheit. Ich bleibe trotzdem sachlich. Zuallererst. Ich bin zertifizierter Trust Pilot Agent. Wie haben wir den Aufenthalt empfunden? Frau (42) Tochter (16) Ich (52) Ankunft. Nur was fĂŒr geĂŒbte Bergsteiger. 125 Treppenstufen nach langer Anreise (bei NĂ€sse gefĂ€hrlich). Koffer hoch, die Hölle (Herzinfarkt Gefahr). Parkplatz nein, absolute Zumutung, wie ausgewiesen. Extrem gefĂ€hrlich und nicht zulĂ€ssig in der Kurve. Bei Regen wird es offiziell auch als extrem gefĂ€hrlich ausgewiesen. Bei Fahrweise der Italiener erst recht. Maximale PrivatsphĂ€re NEIN! Am ersten Tag gleich stand ich Splitter Faser nackt vor einem fremden Mann. Kein Problem fĂŒr mich, aber... Ums Haus Kameras, wo wir beobachtet wurden. Ankunft und Unwetter beweisen es. Treppe und obere Etage komplett quietschendes Holz, ich meine Extrem. Von Nachtruhe und Erholung kann da nicht die Rede sein. Muss jemand zum stillen Örtchen, dann ist der Weg laut und unangenehm. Die Matratze hart und nur ein Laken fĂŒr zwei zum zudecken. Toaster wurde ausgewiesen, leider nicht gefunden. Ofen ging dafĂŒr. Klimaanlage top von Vaillant, sowie Warmwasser. In dem dekorativen schönen unteren Bereich hielten es leider, die MĂ€dels nicht lange aus. Der Geruch aus dem

Schöner Urlaub

Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und ist komplett ausgestattet. Die Aussicht ist einfach wunderbar.Die 117 Stufen zum Haus sind anstrengend aber machbar.Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und gibt viele Infos bzw. ein Buch ĂŒber Ausflugsmöglichkeiten liegt bereit. Es hat alles Bestens funktioniert.

Schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage

Wir hatten leider sehr großes Pech mit dem Wetter wodurch wir den Garten mit LiegestĂŒhlen und Blick auf das Meer und die Stadt Chiavari eigentlich nicht nutzen konnten. Das war sehr schade. Dadurch haben wir uns um so mehr in dem sehr gut ausgestatteten gemĂŒtlichen Haus aufgehalten. Eine tolle Vermieterin die uns mit allen notwendigen Informationen versorgt hat, mir sogar zum Geburtstag gratuliert hat und Tipps fĂŒr AusflĂŒge in die wunderbare Umgebung gegeben hat. Nicht zu vergessen die guten Betten. Der Nachbar scheint schlechte Erfahrungen mit GĂ€sten gemacht zu haben und hat sein GrundstĂŒck mit nicht zu ĂŒbersehenden Schildern bestĂŒckt, was ein bisschen schade ist. Ansonsten alles top.

Ruhe, Entspannung und eine fantastische Aussicht

Ein wunderschönes kleines HĂ€uschen in der Natur mit toller Fernsicht und allen Annehmlichkeiten, die man braucht. Die Treppen sind eine kleine Herausforderung, aber es lohnt sich! Vielen lieben Dank an Monica fĂŒr die Gastfreundschaft und vielen tollen Ausflugstipps.

Wunderschönes Anwesen!

Wie schon vorherige Urlauber berichten, sind die 125 Stufen eine Herausforderung! (Machen aber stramme Waden und einen Knackpo). Das man nicht nur die Koffer, sondern auch jeden Einkauf nach oben tragen muss sollte jedem bewusst sein! Das Haus und das Anwesen selber entspricht exakt der Beschreibung und den Bildern! Monica ist eine sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeberin, zurĂŒckhaltend aber immer mit guten Tips steht sie zur Seite! Ein kleines Manko ist die hellhörrigkeit des Hauses! Als Eltern mit 2 Kindern (in diesem Fall schon Ă€lter) fehlt etwas PrivatsphĂ€re. Wir waren mit Hund dort und auch unser Vierbeiner war super entspannt! Komplett eingezĂ€unt konnte er alles in Ruhe erkunden ohne das wir stĂ€ndig aufpassen mussten! Danke an Monica fĂŒr die Gastfreundschaft!

Super locatie

Wij hebben een week doorgebracht in het mooie huis op een geweldige locatie. De trap van 127 treden moet niet worden onderschat, maar het huis en het uitzicht zijn geweldig. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. Wij vonden de koelkast wel wat klein voor een gezin, ook omdat je niet elke keer met de boodschappen de trap op wilt. Ook zou de douchgel een kleine update kunnen gebruiken. De airco is slecht in 1 slaapkamer aanwezig. Maar verder was het top! De communicatie met Monica was ook erg fijn!
