We were not as please with the property as we had hoped for. It was not as close to the Vatican as it seemed from VRBO site. The property was not super clean and the shower was hard to operate and had mold under grout. However the property manager was efficient and check in and out was easy and convenient. Probably will not recommend.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Check-in
Great location but check-in could have been better
Location was spot on, with easy access to public transport, shops, restaurants and the Vatican city. Just a couple points for improvement:
State that the apartment is on the 5th floor, accessible by a very tiny lift which is not good if you are claustrophobic! And the stairs are hard work in hot weather.
The check-in was not great, there was no information given on how to use the shower or the air conditioning, which would have been useful.
This is probably due to the COVID cleaning restrictions but there was no books, tourist information, local maps, guest book/manual etc.
Lastly the shower could have done with a proper clean as there was mould on some of the tiles.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in the apartment but there is room for improvement
The flat has a larger living room which makes it nice for movie nights, games and so forth. The grocery store is super convenient (right next door) and there are plenty of restaurants around. It is a haul into the city center (20 minutes one way) so if you are going to be city center a lot this is not the place. We were there to enjoy time off, having been to Rome many times it was a big deal to us. It was nice to have a washing machine, A/C and an elevator. We requested a fan and one was brought to us within 2 hours :) There is no A/C is not in the second bedroom but with the fan it was fine. I would not say the kitchen is great for someone who likes to cook. All of the fry pans have lost their "non stick" finish and so making eggs was a bit of a chore. I did go out and purchase more spoons as there were not enough and I would like to have had more than 1 wine glass. There were smaller glasses (4 or so) but they were only about 5oz and with the HOT Roman summer that was not enough :) All in all it's a great stay if you take into account the location is outside the city.
