Great location and amazing host. Lots of cobwebs and the dust on the fans were flying everywhere when the fans were on.

Thank You for your “5” star review and feedback as we strive for our guests to have an excellent experience overall. We will fine tune our checklist to give extra attention to the areas you pointed out. Always feel free to call us when at one of our properties as we would want the opportunity to make it right during your stay.
Those pesty cobwebs on lake properties can be a challenge as they tend to pop up over night in the summer months.
Hope you enjoyed your time in Northern Michigan and we look to see you again soon. Thank you again for your feedback and for your business 😊
Enjoyed the cabin and a perfect location. Everything was as listed and had everything we needed. Cabin was very clean and the view was fantastic. Great sunrises every morning.
This is our 2nd time back staying in this group of cabins. The location is perfect - central to activities in Mackinaw City or Cheboygan. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back again!
This is a beautiful cabin right on Lake Huron. Enough room for my wife and kids (though we only had one of our two children with us) to spread out a little bit, and yet quite cozy as well. Awesome sunrise view, and you can see the Mackinac bridge from the fire pit
We stayed here 3 yrs ago and absolutely loved it and decided to come back! We’re so glad we did, the cabin is so nice and we love being so close to the water! We always enjoy our time here and the cabin has everything you need. The view and being so close to the water was another highlight of our trip. We also enjoy getting to talk to Don from cabin 1 and his knowledge on places to see and things to do! We can’t wait to come back and stay here again!
The Birch Lodge cabin 2 was right on the straights Lake Huron side. Cool nights and warm afternoons. The water is warmer than Lake Michigan ,rocky bottom , so bring water shoes.
This was our first time being in Northern Michigan and the cabin was wonderful. It had everything we needed and the kids loved being so close to the lake! The views were absolutely breathtaking! We met some great people who were staying in the other cabins as well and the couple in cabin 1 were super helpful and informative on places to go and things to do! It is definitely one of our favorite vacations to date! We’ve already decided that we’ll be back in the future and will stay here!

❤️Thanks so much for taking time to share your feedback. So delighted You & Your Family enjoyed the cabin and have fond memories of your vacation in Northern Michigan.
We are honored to hear You are looking to return to vacation here again. Would Love to have You back 😊
Great place to enjoy the Mackinaw City area.
The cabin has everything you need to make meals and is clean, nice and cozy. I think it looks better than on pictures. The only complaint we have is the mattress, it is too soft.
Other than that, a really nice cabin with fire pit and benches just steps to Lake Huron and the views of the lake and the Mackinac Bridge are spectacular.
We are glad you loved the cabin. It certainly is a special place. We are hoping that we might have WIFI service available to our area next year. Fingers crossed!
Thanks again.
This place was CLEAN! We loved the screened in front porch, we loved the yard, we loved the beach access, parking was easy and the location was very convenient. The queen-sized loft bed was not the most comfortable bed in the world, but it wasn't bad either. There were plenty of drawers where we could store our clothes, TONS of hangers in the closet, it was amazing. We had an amazing time and will be recommending this place to everyone! I've already shared this listing with a coworker and I've only been back to work for 1 day. If we're in the area again, we will definitely be back.
Great location. It's close to Mackinaw City, but far enough away to have alone time. All of the amenities to the cabin were spot on. We had some issues with the oven lighting properly but only used it twice and got it to work. The laundry and grill were good. The screened in porch and balconies are outstanding. Waking up to the sound of the lake each day was a real added bonus. The bike trail is easily accessible across US23. The little beach is rocky, but you can wade out with Crocs or water shoes. There is so much to do in this area. We went to Soo Locks, Mackinac Island, St Ignace and Sand Dunes Beach, Mackinaw City, Jack Pine Lumberjack Show, Headlands Dark Sky Park, and Petoskey State Park. It was our first visit to the area and we loved it!
Pictures for this cabin do it no justice. This place was so beautiful and relaxing. Views are amazing. It was the perfect little cabin. We plan on coming back next year.
Convenient location for Mackinaw City and Cheboygan if you want to be away from the crowds. The cabin was clean and well equipped. Grounds were immaculate.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication, location
both positives and negatives are strong
Very nice cabin - well built, clean, unique layout, used the deck and screened porch. Highway so close it drowned out the sound of the waves and we wished for more seclusion. WORST: the beds. All of them were lumpy and tilted. If they had been good beds, we would have rated this a 4-5 star place. Multiple problems with contradictory info on the contract and also with phone conversation. Directions on lock box were wrong. Brochures were at least a year old and there is no online connection and rare phone connection with which to check on activities. We didn't like being in a circle of cabins - BUT - that's a personal preference. The grounds were impeccably kept and beautiful.

We appreciate your feedback as we always look to make enhancements where possible so renters have fond memories of time spent at our cabin.
While a relished spot for many return vacationers and well suited for many individuals & families, sorry to hear it wasn’t a good match for your needs.
As indicated in the property description, we are one of 5 cabins at Birch Lodge on beautiful Lake Huron but not the more secluded private location you apparently were seeking.
Our property description also reflects there is no Wi-Fi
connectivity available at this time.
We find Cell phone connectivity issues are mostly related to an individual carrier’s coverage area.
Relative to other items you noted, it is the first time we received any concerns related to these topics especially the mattresses where recent renters just had commented they found them “so comfortable”. We do understand though mattress comfort level is a very personal preference.
Road noise during peak traffic times can echo off the lake ; however, come nighttime it is much quieter as traffic is significantly lighter and hasn’t been noted by others as a deterrent.
We will take a look at our lockbox instructions and contracts for any potential enhancements that may benefit our customers going forward.
Thank You for staying at our Cabin and only wish our place had met more of your needs. Hope you find your future vacation travels to be most enjoyable ones.
We spent the week here and it was wonderful! My husband and kids aged 13 and 11 thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It was exactly as pictured. Very well kept and clean. The view of Lake Huron was superb and it was so relaxing and serene. We did a lot of day trips throughout the week that were about an hour away (Cross in the Woods, Tunnel of Trees, Soo Locks, Mackinaw Island, Garlyn Zoo, Mystery Spot, Lighthouse, Colonial Michillimackinac, Mill Creek Discovery Park) and then were able to come back and relax. We all slept very well..the beds were so comfortable. The only small improvement would be to have a bit more microwaveable cookware. We would highly recommend this spot. It was the perfect size for our family of four!
