Quiet, Secure, Comfortable, and Unique Stay at a Working Winery near a small French Village

I booked this home for my family of four (parents and two 19-year olds) hoping to find a quiet and safe place near the medieval village of Carcassonne. We were not planning to spend much time at our rental unit, but after checking in, I wish that I had planned a longer stay. Our host was charming, helpful, and very conscientious. The room was extremely quiet, clean, and comfortable. In the morning, while my family slept, I walked into the sleepy town of Pennetier (about a 5-minute walk). It was fun to see a French village come to life while I enjoyed a coffee and croissant in a small cafe. Before leaving, I purchased a couple of bottles of wine from the owner and can't wait to try them!
