This charming studio offers heaps of personality and is situated just a few doors down from the local village stores, Sloop Inn pub and just a few minute’s walk down to the fantastic water sports at Bantham beach and estuary, presenting you with all you need at the edge of your doorstep.
A single off-road parking space is found at the front of the Studio, to lead straight into this property. This mezzanine style property fosters cosy comforts right throughout the year for couples and small families to get away and enjoy the simpler way of living.
This bright and airy bolt hole is great for guests who wish to regress back to basic-style living. Steepfield Studio allows guests to getaway from usual life, and encourages the embrace of outdoor adventures with your furry friends, picking up a book for entertainment or simply communicating amongst one another.
Steepfield Studio is a unique stay where the downstairs living has such versatility. On wet days or of an evening, guests can snuggle up on the sofa, plug in the heater and enjoy cosy comforts with hot chocolates and a film from the collection of DVD’s available. Transformation from a cosy lounge with a sofa, side coffee table, monitor sized TV and Wi-Fi, into a dining room for 4 with an awesome vintage leaf side table, opens into a lovely dining area.
This charming Studio kitchenette has functional cooking space inclusive of preparation counters, an electric oven, ceramic hob, ¾ standing fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and essential cooking crockery and cutlery.
The open plan kitchenette and lounge transforms into the main bedroom with the sofa pulled out into a comfy double bed. This sleeping arrangement is a fantastic bedroom with grand views of the Avon Estuary from the floor to ceiling windows and patio doors.
A spacious patio area to the rear of the house offers a great al-fresco coffee spot in the morning and a brilliant sunset and sundowners entertainment area. When booked in conjunction with the adjoining property at 2 Steepfield, full access to the entire garden beyond the immediate patio area is then also available for guests.
Back into the property, towards the front door, the family bathroom resides. Fitted with a bath and overhead electric shower, toilet and basin; coming back from the beach and washing off is made super easy!
Adjacent to the bathroom, an open staircase leads to the sloped ceiling mezzanine accommodation. Two full-size single beds present a hideaway perfect for the children or grown-up, but mind your head! Wooden banisters contain this sleeping area with a great view into the downstairs living area and out the window across the estuary.

As a couple we absolutely loved our stay at Steepfield Studio. The views from the studio and terrace are stunning, Bantham beach and the Avon estuary are incredible and there are many great walks from the doorstep. There is a lovely cafe/shop two doors down, a pub and food trucks at the beach. Bonnie was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!
We had great time, nice spot. Here’s what needs sorting in flat; sofa bed is knackered and drops in middle where there’s no support. No cork screw. TV could be bigger and wasn’t connected to internet so limited viewing.
Good but:-
Toilet flush poor.
No sharp knives.
Tv flashed at night.
Night floor lights needed bew batteries.
No lighting under kitchen units.
Bathroom light over mirror not working.
No need to go anywhere except our the door and down to the beach or over to the local footpaths. A walker’s dream!
