The municipality of Zumaia is located in the west of the Guipuzcoan coast, at the mouth of the Urola River. The village appears surrounded by green mountains and the blue landscape of the sea. The force of the waves shapes the coastline, forming an impressive landscape of cliffs and a tidal wave without equal. In addition to the geological heritage, the municipality of Zumaia is home to some of the most important formations and ecosystems of the Bay of Biscay: for example, the impressive tidal rasa of Deba and Zumaia -Declared Protected Biotope- and the Sites of Community Interest of the Urola estuary.
The UNESCO Geopark of the Basque Coast is a small territory wedged between the Cantabrian Sea and the Basque mountains and includes the municipality of Zumaia.

Extraordinary nice appartement!

We spent a wonderful week in this extraordinally nice appartement, which offers everything you need. The balkony is very nice, too, and offers a splendid view over the little canal "Narrondo Ibaia" of Zumaia. The owner of the appartement, Mrs. Lizaso, is very friendly and helpful. We are allready planning to come back!

Clean, bright, modern, spacious apartment

Spotless, very spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, secure modern apartment building with elevator, easy walking distance to reasonably priced restaurants, beach, and other facilities in Zumaia. Excellent communication with host. Parking on the street was always available but sometimes required a couple of blocks walk, but this was not an issue for us. Paid parking is available in the building. A good location for exploring the northern coast. Don't miss the hike along GR-121 overlooking Playa Itzurun with spectacular views along the coast.

Zumaia

Very nice and spacious appartment with garage. Near everything. Walking distance from the beach. No fan and it what very hot. Well équiped. On a very busy street so a little bit noisy on the beautiful terrasse and to sleep at night. Thé pool and sauna mentionned are not at the appartement but in sports complex on the other aide of the street. This should be mentionned on VRBO I think.

Ruim en schoon appartement met veel praktische opbergruimte, goede bedden en van alle gemakken voorzien. Handig en leuk ingericht ook. De eigenaar reageerde snel op vragen. Zelf kunnen uitchecken vonden wij een plus. En de eigen (betaalde) parkeergarage was handig omdat het vrijwel overal betaald parkeren is. Het zwembad is in een (gemeentelijk) sportcomplex waarvoor je entrée moet betalen. Je kunt er ook padellen, tennissen, fitnessen etc. Strand, centrum en supermarkten zijn op loopafstand.

Geräumige, sehr helle Wohnung, gute Ausstattung, sehr gute Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Wohnung sehr genossen. Wir waren nur zu zweit und die Wohnung daher sehr groß bemessen. Für 4 Personen ist sie perfekt, für 6 Personen zu klein bzw. nicht ausreichend mit Essstühlen usw. ausgestattet. Der Kontakt vorab war sehr freundlich, der Check-in reibungslos und zeitlich sehr flexibel, sehr netter Kontakt per Whatsapp. Zumaia liegt super für Wanderungen in der direkten Umgebung oder Trips nach Bilbao, San Sebastian und dazwischen liegende Orte. Gute Bahnverbindungen in beide Richtungen (alle 30 min.). Es gibt viele Tapasbars in der Nähe, sehr gut und günstig. Uns hat es sehr gefallen!

Schöner Urlaub

Tolle Wohnung, alles nette Vermieterin, super Lage. guter Ausgangspunkt um Ausflüge zu machen. In dem kleinen Örtchen gibt es alles Einkaufsläden, Bäcker, Fleischer etc. und genügend Restaurants um auch mal abends zu chillen. immer wieder gerne vielleicht sogar schon nächstes Jahr.

Séjour merveilleux

L’appartement de Maria est top. Nous étions 5 et nous sommes sentis très à l’aise dans cet appartement très confortable, grand et lumineux. En plus Maria l’a très bien équipé et tout est prévu en terme de linge, consommables et produits ménagers. On a juste eu à poser nos valises et profiter. Enfin Maria est une hôte super gentille, dynamique et prévenante. Si nous revenons dans la région, nous choisirons ce logement👌

Charming apartment in Basque country

Charming, clean, well-appointed apartment in convenient location in Zumaia. The apartment was bright and spacious. Washing machine worked great. Wi-Fi also worked great- my daughter was on zoom calls for work and said it worked perfectly. The host, Maria, was helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to see in the town and environs. Parking was easy on the street, but we also took the train to San Sebastián a few times - a 5-min walk from the apartment. Location was nice as the town was small, but were we to do the trip again, we would have chosen to stay in one of the bigger cities (San Sebastian) for a bit more of a town for dinners, pinxtos bars, etc. however- would highly recommend this space for Zumaia! Thank you Maria!

Schöne Erfahrung

Superschöne, bequeme, saubere und zentrale Wohnung. Supermarkt, Bäcker um die Ecke. Da wir in Deutschland sehr ruhig wohnen, war sie uns ein Tick laut. Die Gegend bietet vieles an: Wandern, Fahrrad fahren, Städte besuchen und selbstverständlich baden. Das Parken muss man extra organisieren. Herzlichen Dank an María!

Tolle und komfortable Wohnung

Sehr großzügige und sehr gepflegte Wohnung, in der wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Die beiden Strände von Zumaia sind fußläufig erreichbar. Ebenso Bus und Zug mit guter Verbindung in die Nachbarorte Getaria (charmanter Ort mit ansprechender Gastronomie) und Zarautz (toller Strand) sowie nach San Sebastian. Auch der Geopark in Zumaia lohnt einen Besuch. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Tolle Wohnung, prima Lage, gut ausgestattet mit allem was auch für die Selbstversorgung benötigt wird, super gepflegt und sauber - alles zu Fuß erreichbar (Bäcker, Supermarkt, Strand, Altstadt..); sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin, uneingeschränkte empfehelneswert. Bel appartement spacieux et lumineux

Nous venons de passer 5 jours dans l'appartement de María et avons été très satisfaits de notre logement : spacieux et lumineux, meublé de façon sobre, moderne et très fonctionnelle, à 10 minutes à pieds du centre ville, c'était exactement ce qu'il nous fallait ! Seuls petits bémols : le deuxième couchage un peu léger pour notre ado de 13 ans... (un matelas plus épais aurait été appréciable) et les couverts un peu justes en nombre pour optimiser l'usae lave-vaisselle
