Formia and the Gulf of Gaeta are certainly the most beautiful places of the entire Lazio coast, just an hour away from ROME and NAPLES, it is the ideal place for a holiday.
The elegant dwelling, a large two-family villa, immersed in a splendid Mediterranean garden completely at guests' disposal, enjoys the enchanting panorama of the gulf. In a residential area, not far from the centers of major interest (station, port, city center, beach) the house is on two floors: ground floor with living room, dining room, porch with fully equipped kitchen and a double bedroom with adjoining bathroom without shower; First floor composed of 3 double bedrooms and two complete bathrooms.
On a slight hill overlooking the splendid bay of the Gulf of Gaeta rises my villa, a family home of great value in architecture and furnishings, which preserves all the flavor and warmth of the great Italian houses. The Gulf of Gaeta and Formia are certainly the most beautiful places on the Lazio coast. Only an hour away from Rome and Naples, the elegant villa is surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden and enjoys a breathtaking view of the entire gulf ..
Formia, thanks to its climate, was a famous resort since ancient times; positioned between Rome and Naples, Formia will give you the opportunity to quickly reach places of great artistic and landscape value: The famous abbeys of Montecassino and Fossanova, the Royal Palace of Caserta with the silk factories of S. Leucio, the excavations of Pompeii, the Suio spa, the beautiful Oasis Garden of Ninfa, the ancient Roman city of Minturno and much more.

Beautiful, Picturesque, Proper Italian Villa

We had a magnificent stay at Paola's villa, she is a great host and very happy to help you out. What stunning views from the villa over Gaeta and Formia, the pictures dont do it justice. All I can say is book before its booked out and spend your days relaxing with that view!!

Beautiful views of Formia and Gaeta

We enjoyed our stay at ll Casale. The views are amazing. We enjoyed our time in the pool and bbq ing in the evening. Paola was very helpful and friendly. We used the local shops at Piazza S Erasmo below the villa, the meat from the butcher Macelleria Davide was excellent and ate at Il Tempo Ritrovato in the square. You do need a car, but we did walk down and back to the square and Formia using the steep path outside villa. Ideal place for visiting Pompeii we caught the train there and also the bus to Gaeta. Would highly recommend Il Casale.

Beautiful home

We were a group of 7 adults (30s-60s) spending 2 weeks in Italy. This house is beautiful and the view is everything you see in the pictures posted. Paola was very helpful in helping us arrange transportation from the train station. You definitely need a car to access the home and to get around. This rental provided our group with the all the space we needed.

We made wonderful memories at the Casale. The place is huge with spacious dining, living room and outdoor space and swimming pool. The view is stunning. Close to Formia snd Gaeta beaches, boat tour of the area was beautiful. Restaurants and good pizza places. The kids had super time doing night swims at the pool. We give this place an A+

A palace in the hills of Formia

The photographs of Il Casale do not begin to do justice to the most incredible view and grand palatial feel of the property. It was the perfect base to explore but there was a lot to see locally should you wish to stay put. I loved the cook’s kitchen with its wealth of pots, pans, coffee makers and recipe books. My wife loved the veranda at night with the twinkling lights of the bay and a good book. Thank you Paula and Francesco for your friendship, advice and great linguistic skills! We really hope to see you again.

Stay in Formia

This was a wonderful spot, up above the town and away from the hustle and bustle of the town but a very short drive to the town got you all the amenities you could need. Also relatively convenient to both Naples and Rome. The host, Paola, was so kind and accommodating and was really concerned about us enjoying our stay.The one thing that could have been better was having A/C in the living area so we didn't have to open doors and let the mosquitoes in, which were always quite hungry. It's for that reason only that I couldn't give the stay 5 stars. Even still, I would book again, but would be better prepared for the mosquitoes. (We don't like using toxic bug sprays so I would have brought some things from home that are non-toxic and effective at keeping the bugs away.)We were there for 12 nights and it was beginning to feel like home. We were so sad to leave! I hope we can come back one day!

Oh, the views!

This is one of the most beautiful spots I've ever seen. The house is large and comfortable. But the yard with its breathtaking view of the sea is the best. I wanted to spend as much time as I could outside just so I could see that view. The pool is lovely and adds another nice thing to do outside. The kitchen is large with a full sized fridge and stove, as well as an oven and a dishwasher. That made it easy to cook what we bought at the market. Paola checked in on us to answer questions and suggest places to go in the area, so we had good "insider" information for our planning. The drive up and down the hill takes concentration for someone who isn't a local driver, but it's worth it to explore the town of Formia and its beaches. When we wanted a change, we did the same things in the nearby town of Gaeta. The train station is a short drive from the house and it's easy to get a train into Naples for the day. In short, the house is great, the area offers lots to do, and the views are memorable. You'll find lots to like here!

Erholung pur mit fantastischem Ausblick

Ein wundervoller Ort, um sich zu erholen. Das große, sehr persönlich eingerichtete Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Paola ist eine sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeberin, die uns auch immer wieder verwöhnt hat (frischen Büffelmozarella und Wein zur Begrüßung) und Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben hat. Ganz großartig ist der einzigartige Blick auf die Bucht von Gaeta. Herrliche Sandstrände in Formia und Gaeta sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Wir können die Villa ohne Einschränkung sehr empfehlen!

Ruim en sfeervol ingericht, met grote keuken met alle benodigde apparatuur. Fijne tuin met uitzicht over de baai. Steil pad omhoog, wel echt auto nodig. Paola was erg aardig, gaf goede tips om te gaan doen in de omgeving (Sperlonga, Gaeta, etc).

Ferieboligen er helt unik med masser af sjæl. Udsigten er fantastisk. Strandene er dejlige:-)

Vi kan kun anbefale andre at opleve at bo i dette unikke hus med en fantastisk udsigt. Alt i huset har været ud fra en høj standard. Ligeledes har området været spændende at udforske, ikke mindst har vi haft mulighed for at komme tæt på at se hvordan italienerne lever og oplevet deres kultur, da området ikke er præget af turisme. Bil er en nødvendighed, på grund af husets beliggenhed. Udlejerne har været sød og behjælpsom og har gerne delt ud af tips og gode råd Vi kommer gerne igen:-)

Confort, accueil chaleureux et vue exceptionnelle sur Formia et Gaete

Nous avons passé un beau séjour dans cette maison confortable et très belle. L accueil est chaleureux et Anna Paola est très gentille. A côté des commerces et des sites merveilleux à visiter car cette maison est située entre Rome et Naples. Aussi un bel endroit pour se reposer face à la mer et déguster les spécialités de Formia.

Lovely house for a family stay

We stayed in this house late April for 4 nights and had great time. Paola is a wonderful host who made us very welcome and helped us with everything we needed. As we were traveling with our 1,5 year old son she arranged a baby cot and a high chair. The house has a nice small garden facing the ocean and the views are magnificent. The house is quite high up the mountains, though not far from the city center and beach. You could easily walk the distance (approx 2km), but the mountain is steep so consider the walk back home as a training. We didn't take the walk as it would have been to much effort to push the baby carriage up the mountain,. Nevertheless I took a run up the mountain and it was good training.

Magnifique villa avec vue sur la mer

La villa correspond parfaitement à la description. La vue sur la mer, Formia et Gaeta est splendide. Nous avons apprécié les équipements, la propreté et la pelouse verte même en pleine canicule. Anna Paola est pleine d'attention pour ses hôtes (coulis de tomate, corbeille de fruits, confiture...). Les habitants de Formia sont très accueillants. La villa est à 15mn à pied du centre ville et 30mn de la plage Vindicio pour les sportifs(petit route pentue). Mais, le parking de la plage est gratuit. La villa est bien placée pour visiter Herculanum, Pompéi, Naples et Montecassino. Il y a de très belles plages dans un rayon de 15 km en plus de Vindicio. En un mot, si vous êtes attirés par cette région, venez à "il casale", vous ne serez pas déçu. En tout cas, nous y reviendrons.

Séjour parfait!

Maison avec beaucoup de charme.Photos conformes. Les plus sont le jardin,la terrasse couverte avec la vue splendide sur Gaeta et le calme. Très bon accueil de la propriétairequi vit dans une partie accolée à la maison. Cependant,on ne se voit que si on le désire car les jardins sont bien séparés. Beaucoup d'excursion possible dans la région proche. Naples et Rome sont à 1à2h de voiture.Voiture d'ailleurs indispensable et accès via route pentue. C'est exactement le type de maison que nous cherchions avec assez d'espace pour 2 familles. Séjour à la Toussaint où nous avons eu une météo idéale. La maison n'étant pas chauffée,prévoir des pulls pour le soir.(qq plaids auraient été le bienvenu) Je conseille cette location sans hésiter.

Superbe maison avec une vue fantastique, accueil excellent, plein de conseils avisés. Formia est une destination estivale pour italiens et peu touristique ce qui est très dépaysant. les plages sont agréables l'eau est chaude gaeta et sperlonga sont proches avec des plages superbes. il faut une voiture et Rome et Naples ne sont pas loin.... les propriétaires sont adorables philippe et johanna

Spacious and cosy house, great view to the sea

We stayed 2 weeks in this Villa. The house is great, beatiful and specious for 8 people. The view to the sea and Gaeta city is amazing. During hot days it's quite cool inside. Kids liked the garden, cats, hide-and-seek in the house and around, and tree's climbing a lot )))) Paola is very nice and helpful lady, she gave us many good advices and recommendations. It's difficult to go to the sea from the house by foot, because the house is located upheel, it's better to have a car, especially if you are with kids. The same for the shopping. The area has very good transportation links with Rome and Napoli. I would certainly recommend this place to everybody!

Nice, quiet and most charming

This is a house with history and certainly a lot of stories to tell. Spacious enough for eight people, a beautifull wiev and a cozy terrasse and garden. The hosts are living at the same property, which normally constitutes a certain downside, but in this case, it fits naturally. Paula and her son are very hospitable and friendly and make you feel welcome. Formia is a minor city at the coast. There are excellent rail connections to Rome and Naples. A large shopping center ("Panorama") ensures your survival, if not the fish market and the many "Gastronomia" shops can do it alone. Many thanks for a memorable and succesfull stay!

We and our children (9 and 13 years) have been satisfied, resting here. It is wonderful, quiet, scenic place. The house is beautiful, large and very comfortable. There is everything you need for a long staying. Cozy kitchen and terrace, perfect sea view allows to enjoy dinner with your family. Hostess, Anna-Paola, and her family are very friendly, attentive and hospitable. Anna-Paola presented us homemade olive oil, which was the best we ever tasted in Italy. It is perfect place for relaxing holiday and short trips to neighboring towns (Gaeta, Sperlonga! etc.). Also it is not a problem to visit Rome, Naples and Pompeii. We stayed in different places during this trip, but Paola’s house was the best of all. Masha, Misha, Katya, Kostya from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans un cadre idyllique,la maison est belle entourée d'un jardin extraordinaire, la vue depuis la terrasse est a couper le souffle. C'est un havre de paix et de repos dont la propriétaire est très accueillante et sympathique. Si nous le pouvons nous sommes prêts pour un nouveau séjour! Beautiful house, with a v...

Beautiful house, with a very nice view over the Gaeta bay, which by night is even nicer, with all the lights on. Quiet, clean, well equiped. We especially enjoyed cooking all together in the large kitchen and then having dinner on the terras, enjoying the night view. For a dinner at a great restaurant: ask Paola! She gave us an excellent advice and kindly made the reservation for us.

"The elegant and comfortable house is suited on a litle hill at Formia. We enjoyed every day the wonderfull garden and the incredible view where you can see Formia, Gaeta and the see. I never had a house during my holidays with a view like this. The house is very well equipped."
