This cabin was exactly as advertised. Very clean & spacious. Plan on about an hour ride to Zion or Bryce but it’s a beautiful ride. This house worked out perfect for us. Would rent it again if we were ever to come back.
We were looking to stay in Alton Utah For the convenient location to Bryce, canyon and Zion national park, among other activities in the area.We were fortunate together to find this rental. It was superb, checked off all the boxes.Everyone in our group had nothing but great things to say about it.Best wishes see you soon
Stocked house with a central location to both Bryce and Zion NP. The game room downstairs was a great bonus after long days of hiking. We closed our evenings sitting on the back porch watching the deer!
We had two couples and two singles so the four bedrooms and full bathrooms worked perfectly. It was a little over an hour to Zion and 45 minutes to Bryce making it easy to visit both. We loved the setting for the house, and its large gathering area. Not to mention the fabulous deck! Great choice for us.
Our family had a great time at the home while visiting Bryce and Zion canyons. Location was great. Our family enjoyed grilling out and making s’mores in the fire pit.
Perfect place for visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon. Very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. It snowed one day so we used the wood burning fire place. Basement was perfect for the kids. Can't say enough about how great this house was for us!
Best vacation rental ever. Clean, well stocked, very comfortable and clear instruction manual. Peaceful setting.
I would highly recommend this property for anyone planning a visit to Bryce and Zion.
The home is in a great location. It was conveniently located near our race location. There was plenty of room for our party of 8. There were lots of games to keep everyone entertained.
This is a great place to be if you want to see Bryce & Zion. Very comfortable and the kids loved the game room downstairs as well as horseshoes outside! Beautiful deck where my husband & I could just hang out and relax.
Our amazing trip to visit Utah's "Mighty Five" was made extra nice because of this incredible home! It was so nice and each room was great...especially the large family room where we played cards and laughed until we cried! Perfect place halfway between Bryce and Zion made for easy drive to both parks. Try Hot Mama's Pizza and Aunt Sue's for meals in Duck Creek Village if you don't feel like cooking!
What a great property. We were able to stay comfortably with 6 adults and 5 kids. Our favorite was eating breakfast and dinner on the back deck watching deer in the meadow. The location was great as we were able to visit both Bryce Canyon and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon during our stay. Would absolutely recommend!
Family of eight stayed in this centrally located home between Zion and Bryce NPs. Lots of room with great space in the basement where there were games to play. Clean with everything you would need to be at home for a long stay.
This property was very clean with all the necessary supplies and more. We especially enjoyed the large deck off the back and viewing the wildlife. Plenty of bathrooms. Comfortable living room and good size kitchen for cooking delicious meals. Ken & Dana do a great job and we enjoyed meeting them.
We completely enjoyed our stay! Ken and Dana updated us on the weather so that we were prepared when we arrived. The house was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. We were able to easily drive to both Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. We also enjoyed a side trip to a couple of areas in the Grand Staircase. Overall, it was a wonderful property!
Great property set between Zion and Bryce NP's. We could get to either Park in less than an hour. Ken and Dana really think of all the small things (as well as the big), which was important to us after a full day of hiking (Angels Landing). We really enjoyed the property and would stay there again.
Ken & Dana's cabin was a gem! My family wanted a stopping place roughly halfway between Zion & Bryce and this was the perfect find. It was spacious, clean, fully stocked, and a wonderful respite after full days of hiking/exploring. We did our big grocery haul at the Walmart in Cedar City as others suggested and that was definitely the move. Terry's in Orderville was great for any essentials we forgot or needed afterward. If anyone in your group has mobility concerns, this would be a good vrbo to consider (other than 3-4 steps at the front door, everything you need is on the main level including a gigantic master suite). We would absolutely stay here again!!
It is easy to go on and on about our stay at this property.
1. Location - Geographically situated for easy day trips to some of the most beautiful and grand locations on earth. But equally important, the property is at 7500ft elevation. So on the days it was 99F in the valleys, it was a cool 75F at this elevation. This made all the difference for our August vacation. Daily, we embarked for our day trips very early and then returned in ample time to relax on a cool and breezy back porch. Kick on the grill, freshen up and enjoy dinner on the porch. Location, location, location.
2. Kitchen - Having a stocked kitchen was so helpful. It's the little things you forget when you make your initial grocery run. Dana started us off with eggs, milk, coffee, etc. But there was a residual amount of other supplies that were so helpful. The kitchen itself was spacious, able to accommodate several of us at one time. The fridge/freezer was sufficiently sized to contain our once-and-done grocery trip to Walmart in Cedar City.
3. Bathrooms - Four bathrooms was a gift.
4. Bedrooms - The master suite (king bed) was the size of many living rooms. Upstairs there were 1 large and two smaller bedrooms. All three with queen beds. Mattresses were high end and a joy to sleep upon. An slightly open window each night allowed the mid-50s temps to seep in for a luxurious cuddle underneath the warm comforters.
5. Activities - While we never had time to use the ping pong and foosball tables, they were available for those interested. Rather, our favorite activities centered around the back porch. We sipped milkshakes, dined, played Rummikub, and chatted out on the back deck while we watched the many mule deer graze in our and our neighbors backyards. We did get out once for a game of horseshoes.
6. Communication & Consideration - Dana was thoughtful, informed and prompt in messages back and forth.
7. Value - With 7 adults splitting the cost, our lodging was very affordable. Making and eating meals together was a big part of our experience and also made the stay very economical.
8. Utility - Downstairs contained a seperate laundry room. We took advantage of it regularly.
9. Destinations - We went to Cedar Breaks, Zion (2X), Bryce, North Rim, Grand Staircase (Grosvenor Arch and Cottonwood Narrows). BTW, when over near Bryce, it's worth a trip to i.d.k. BBQ in Tropic, UT. (Best BBQ Joint in Utah, 2020 - Insider)
