Great Cottage very close to town

We had a lovely 2 nights at Tally Ho cottage. It is well positioned between the sea and high St. It has a well equipped kitchen and 2 good bathrooms. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the house property and the kitchen outside space.

Great stay!

We loved our time at Tally Ho - it was an amazing location, great vantage point to explore the historic and beautiful Deal. The team offered outstanding customer service both head of and during our stay. We can’t wait for our next staycation!

Tally Ho

The Tally Ho was in a great location minutes from the beach and high street. The property had everything we could need for our stay. We would probably stay in a different property in the future due to the steep spiral staircase which is not suitable for the elderly or with poor mobility, which my father struggled with the various steps and stairs in the property. The bathroom floor boards could also be repaired as it is a bit unsteady. The same as the kitchen floorboard was sticking up slightly and uneven. Apart from these issues, it is a large comfortable property ideal with separate bedroom areas on either side of the property. Thank you to the lovely staff who dealt with our booking.

Charming Georgian Property in an ideal location

A delightful Georgian property with a great layout, offering plenty of space and comfort. The interior is stylish and cozy, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location is fantastic—just a short stroll from the beach, shops, bars, and restaurants. If the cottage is available, we would return again.

Lovely cottage with lots of character in a great location

A lovely cottage with lots of character - had everything we needed for a short stay and the location was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable. The outside yard could do with a little TLC.

Atmospheric and quirky

This is a lovely, large house, originally built in 1712 and updated to keep many of the original features. We loved it and I felt it was a privilege to stay here. It's large. The two main bedrooms are separated by a ground floor corridor and have separate staircases. This makes it ideal for two couples to share. The children's room (low ceiling) is above one of the main bedrooms. The property is built around a small, completely enclosed outdoor courtyard, so you have private secure outside space with a table and chairs. Two bathrooms, one en-suite to one main bedroom and one in the other 'wing' for the other main bedroom. Fantastic. Good, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable well-furnished lounge and a dining room. The period features created a wonderful atmosphere. You can read about this property online- it was a pub in the 1800s. unbeatable location- in one minute you can be at the sea or on the bustling High Street. Comfortable and quiet. However, it might not suit anyone with mobility problems. Since this building is very old, the staircases are steep and one is winding. Doorways are also low, as in ye olden days.

Great stay, nice people!

Stayed here in June 2024. Really lovely "quirky" cottage, right in the middle of the conservation area, very close to the beach. Everything was great, from the joining instructions onwards! We had an email a day after we arrived checking everything was OK. House is a short walk from a nice clique of bars and restaurants and a short walk into the centre of town. Would highly recommend

A very cozy house

We spent 3 nights at Tally Ho over the Easter break and had a great time. The house is really comfortable and warm, with the added bonus of a secluded courtyard. The house was very clean and everything works well (although it took us a while to understand the induction hob, but that’s because we are not used to them.) If I can be really picky, I’ll say that the kitchen should have the basics such as olive oil, vinegar, coffee etc. overall, a really nice address to wind down and spend time as a family.

Tally Ho for 6 adults

Overall charming cottage and great location BUT the kitchen is under equipped particularly needs frying pans that are induction hob compatible. There also needs to be clearer warnings about the lack of head room in the twin bedroom making the house unsuitable for 6 adults.

Lovely stay in beautiful Deal

Tally-Ho is a wonderfully characterful and comfortable place to stay in the best location in Deal - Middle Street is full of Georgian properties, very convenient for the beach and High Street. We loved it!
