**BREATHTAKING** views of the Shenandoah Valley and River from 2,000 feet up on the side of the mountain! French doors in the master bedroom suite and in the living room open up to a 2-level deck, half covered & half uncovered. Master suite includes private access to deck and hot tub and a full bathroom. Brand new patio furniture will have you relaxing in no time. And a real wood burning stove for a rustic touch. You'll feel refreshed and renewed after a few days in Overlook Cabin! VERY unique views from the side of a mountain. The house is decorated with a mountain feel, but with all the luxuries of home. You'll have the whole house to yourself. Other things to note: ROAD AND VEHICLE: While the cabin is accessible for a normal car, we HIGHLY recommend a higher clearance vehicle like an SUV. Subaru's and RAV4's are common, but many other vehicles are also on the mountain. We offer an SUV (free of charge) to guests who prefer to use it for the final mile to the cabin.
PETS: Pets are welcome (there is a pet fee). There is a pet disclaimer, so please review policies regarding pets under the House Rules. This cabin was perfect. Very clean, great view and organized. It was interestingly situated high up on a mountain and it was a lot of fun for us to drive the jeep (that host provided) to go up and down the hill on the rocky roads, very adventurous. I would definitely recommend it. It was just the two of us but the cabin can comfortably fit in a lot more people.
Beautiful mountain view! The trip was nice and beautiful! I love a good cozy vibe in the mountains! Communication with property manger was very excellent customer service!
What a delightful break from the city. I spent 5 nights relaxing in the hot tub, watching the stars and reading. The cabin was clean and cozy. The staff on the mountain were very helpful and kind. I can't wait to come back and visit again.
We had a wonderful stay at Brian's property. He was in quick response with the booking, and everything exceeded expectations.
Amazing views, and the hot tub was incredible. We appreciated the Roku TV too!
I would recommend staying here, thanks again!
The cabin was lovely and the view spectacular!! Brian, was in touch with us every step of the way, to insure we had a great time!!! We truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone who is looking to rent in this location!!
Wonderful cabin for the holiday! Spectacular views and gorgeous sunsets.
The waterfall walk was great and we saw wild turkeys on the trail. The road is a challenge, but what a beautiful destination!
Great location close to so many things to do. Good cabin for any occasion, cozy but with plenty of room. Clean, comfortable and you cannot beat the deck and view. My husband and i just loved it. I wouldnt mind having a girls weekend there too! We recommend!!
This was our second time staying at this particular cabin and it was wonderful. Amazing views, hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountain. The deck also has some roof cover so we could enjoy sitting out and listening to the rain. Super comfy bed and great amenities like streaming tv services and a well designed kitchen. Thank you for having such a beautiful retreat cabin!!
You had me at the view!! Well equipped, clean home with outstanding deck and views.. The listing description is accurate and exceeded my expectations. Im already looking at my calendar to book another getaway here. Super clean hot tub was the cherry on top! Many thanks, Brian!

Amazing view!
The view is Amazing! Better than the pictures! The place was clean and everything went super smooth. Definitely going back up there in the future. My small Honda had a rough time up the rocky road so a pick up, jeep or SUV is recommended
We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the porch and the seclusion. Great cabin for couples who like to hike, especially if you have a dog. The national park is 30 minutes from the most northern entrance and second most northern entrance.
Brain was a great host, gave us lots of helpful information on what to do/where to eat in the area. He is also very quick with responses if you need anything!
Overall a great stay and can't wait to come back!
The Overlook Cabin is a perfect home base for exploring Shenandoah National Park and the Shenandoah Valley. It's a short drive to Skyline Drive, Luray or Front Royal and there are plenty of things to do. In the evening we enjoyed coming home before sunset so we could watch it from the deck and then relax in the hot tub. This cabin is clean, comfortable and well stocked with many thoughtful touches. We would gladly stay again!

About our stay
Fire pit was not accessible.
We could not go to the festival on Saturday because of the intermittent rain and fear we would not make it back up to our cabin on the very hard to travel Road.
We also had to re-wash all of the dishes, as there was dried food on each of the plates.
This property is well taken care of and the owner was very responsive to us. The property manager was in direct contact with the owner and responded to our request immediately. The house had everything we needed. I can't say enough about the view - it was unbelievable. Only thing I can say negative is the road that leads to the house. You have to own a SUV to access the property and even that was difficult. Other than that, everything was perfect.
My girlfriend and I stayed for 5 days with our 2 dogs. Overall no complaints we had a wonderful stay. It was a little tricky getting up the mountain. I managed to get up once with my car but opted to use one of the complimentary 4x4 vehicles afterwards. I highly recommend doing this from the start. It was tricky with the dogs as there is no grass for them to do their business but they adapted. The view is amazing and the stars at night were unbelievable from the hot tub. We had a great time and are glad we made the trip.

Amazing rental with ever more amazing views!
Thanks for amazing getaway! The wife and I escaped the DC hustle last weekend to this relaxing home in the mountains. The beautiful house, quality amenities and hot tub provided us an opportunity to escape our busy lives and the DC area congestion. The only concern anyone should have about this rental is the steep incline/decline gravel road to the cabin. However, our VW GTI made the trip just fine and it sits lower than most vehicles. We will be returning for another trip very soon. The views from the patio are breath taking and the hot tub is an amazing bonus!

Will not disappoint!
The online images do not do it justice for 1! The views on the back porch really are breathtaking! House was truly stocked with everything you need and the grocery store was only a 20 min ride once you hit the main road. The “road” going up the mountain, is no joke though. I was worried at times my Camry wasn’t gonna make it but after the first trip up , it got a little easier. It was a perfect romantic getaway for our anniversary! We will be back soon! Brian (1of the owners) was always accessible via text and helpful.#MustVisit
The views were nice from inside, I wish we could have enjoyed them from outside.
The cabin was beautiful, the views are amazing. The only downside was the construction going on every morning at 7:30, the entire time we were there. I wish we would have been notified beforehand, as we were not able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views. Also, if you are looking for a secluded cabin, this isn’t it. You are surrounded by other cabins, which I must have missed in the listing. That’s on me. However, if you are going for peace and quiet, this isn’t the cabin for you.
