Lovely quiet spot

We loved our stay at Julie’s place. It was a great location for visiting West Cork. The accommodations were comfy, and the neighbors, chickens and goats, were charming! And the scenery couldn’t have been better. Thank you!

The place was very nice.

The only thing is that you could not see the water. If they would have cut the weed in the back it would have been.

This is the view from the apartment, taken today. This is the same view as the photos on the website. In front of the apartment is 40ft of manicured lawn, then shrubs and trees which we use for landscaping and shelter from winds in Ireland. It is a beautiful little paradise overlooking a tidal bay. The place is a great base for active outings, such as sea kayaking, whale watching, as well as beautiful walks. Everywhere you look there is something to do or experience. Beautiful views, cosy places to eat, castles and lots of history, but also the local markets are highly recommended. If it rains, an afternoon of creativity at Gre Pottery Studio in Skibbereen is definitely worthwhile. But a visit to the cosy Cinemax in Bantry is also an option. Enjoying the view of the bay in the evening with a drink is priceless. Host Julie Reed is sweet and caring. She makes you feel very welcome. We enjoyed ourselves!

Countryside getaway

Julie's place is very comfortable and she is a delightful lady! The apartment is part attached to her home. She was accessible when needed but you have privacy as well. Very clean. Comfortable beds. 2 ensuite bedrooms were very nice. There is a washer and a drying rack. That was nice to refresh the wardrobe during our stay. The setting is beautiful and on an inlet. Water is visible but not really accessible for swimming but very serene. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely SW Cork stay! I would definitely stay again!

Ideal location for visiting West Cork

Very nice location, quiet and ideal for reaching many places in West Cork area. We had a warm welcome and even received some fruit and tomatoes from the garden! I look forward to another stay in the future!
