Lorenzo’s space was located perfectly to visit the old city, close to the Lorenzo Market which is very convenient to get a quick bite at the end of the day if you get too tired to go to a restaurant. The location is super quiet, safe and close to all great restaurants, the Duomo and all other popular places to visit. We will try to book this place again next time we visit Florence again. If you rent a car, there is a garage parking right acceptas the street from Lorenzo’s place. In the event you arrive earlier than the check in time, you can store your luggage a few blocks away from there, Lorenzo will give you the address and the taxi can drop you there. Josie and Daniel.

Excellent apartment and location
The apartment is even better then the pics on vrbo.
The owner changed something in its furniture.
The area of San Lorenzo is absolutely perfect to leave for a few days.
All the most important sites are at a walkable distance and it is located near the tram line and the train station.
I definitely will come back here!!!

Great location, some issues.
We loved the location. Right outside the heart of everything. No lift so make sure you can carry your luggage up some steep stairs. A bit noisy but not terrible. Well equipped.
The thing we didn’t like was the sleeping loft. I thought it was dangerous. It was added on. VERY steep stairs, not really a proper hand rail at the end. The bathroom was down the stairs. We always carry a couple of small flashlights when we travel and used them if we had to get up at night.
Nice place but be warned if you are the least unsteady on your feet or have poor night vision.
There was a futon downstairs as a sleeping option though. But it was also the living room couch.
Washer, dry rack, decent kitchen, fair size shower, bidet, grocery store close, ATM. Pretty much everything.
One last thing. The keys were a little bit of a problem. Needed to be jiggled just right. Once, I could not get my key to the outside door to work. We were able to use my wife’s key though, barely. Lucky we had both. It was late and the door was coming into the building from the street.

Great location
Once we got used to the quirks like don't wash clothes or flush toilet if you are in the shower it all worked well. If you have mobility issues climbing 4 flights won't work or if you get up several times to pee in the night you might not like going up and down to do it. But kitchen is good. Bathroom size is good. Bed is comfortable. Location is excellent two blocks to central market and two blocks to grocery store. Close to Medici tombs and the Duomo. Close to train and bus station. Good communication with Cosimo before. Enjoyed our 6 nights there.

Great location!
This apartment was great for location and size! Cosimo was great and very timely with responses. The only thing we didn't like was the air conditioner wasn't really that great for a big apartment, it didn't really cool off the lofted part with the bed. Other than that, it was great!

Comfortable and Convenient with all Ammenities
We (family of 3) enjoyed our stay in Cosimo's loft apartment. It was clean, cozy, centrally located and offered all the desired amenities. We especially appreciated the clothes washer, soap and drying rack--quite useful after several days of traveling. Wifi was quite good too. The only suggestion would be to leave more toilet paper in the apartment for 3 guests. We appreciated Cosimo's dining recommendations and frequented locations he recommended.
Cosimo was responsive to our pre-travel inquiries and met us upon our arrival to show us the apartment. We would stay here again if our travels take us back to Florence.
His property was nicely maintained and the description on the site accurately described the apartment.

Great location, cosy apartment, very helpful.
We were met by Giulio at the apartment and he was very helpful in explaining how to get the most out of our stay in Florence. The apartment is in a very central location so we could walk to all the things we wanted to see and it close to a grocery store. It's well equipped and very comfortable. We had a fantastic stay.

A disappointing experience
While close to the station and the market, the suite was in a poor neighbourhood and very loud at all times (day and night), appalling wifi/internet signal (5 min to open an email), we lost water for a whole night and electricity in the stairwell for another night (pitch black climb up 2 floors).
Not ideal for the price.
The camera work for the suite also flattered the size of the suite and the loft was a lofty climb.

Response from VrboOwner on 27 March 2020
I'm so sorry if your experience was terrific.
The water went down in all the city that night, in my apartment as well, because there was a big maintenance work in all the city water network.
For the same reason the light in the stairs was turned off because of security, then I'm sorry if it wasn't turned on again for the next days but the main system had a problem because of the water pressure, you know that water and electricity don't like to stay together...
The neighboroud is not poor, what did you expected after booking an apartment in San Lorenzo disctrict? I don't understand what you exavtly mean. this is the first time I receive such a negative review honelstly...
You saw the pictures and the descriptions of the apartment, so I don't understand what was your problem with the size of the room.
If you had informed me about the internet connection I would have done something.
I'm sorry for this review, it destroy all the good I have received in the past two years,
I hope you can come back here and seeing allt he improvments next season.
I hope you can change your idea about this one star review...
Thank you very much
Cosimo

Great stay in Florence
For a family of four, this apartment was well suited for our weekly stay, with a comfortable king-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed and an added single bed on request. It was clean, very much like the picture, and the AC was much wecomed in the hot weather. There were nice attentions such as basic spices, oil, and soap in the well-equiped kitchen we used quite a bit, and some washing soap pods for the washing machine. There was a nice selection of books on travel, arts, history... Amongst them, detailed and varied travel guides on Florence and the area we used for our daily activities and day trips. We found the location very good: a few streets away from Florence's Centrale Mercato for fresh local food and eats, a few blocks away from another general supermarket, a few streets away from the Academia (and the rest of the city's historical centre), and about a 10 minutes walk from the train station which made this an ideal base for day trips by train to Rome on a high speed train, and Sienna. In the 35 + C degree weather, making it tiring for long walks, we also tried the hop on hop off double-decker city sights bus tour which took us all around town to main attractions and the interesting nearby city of Fiesole and its roman anfiteatre. Our top family activity (of our whole one-month trip) was a cooking class organised by Florence Tours, which took us from the city centre to a winery in Chianti (20 minutes away) where we learned how to make our own pizza and gelato from scratch: great setting with a glass of wine watching the sunset over Florence in the distance while the pizzas cooked... We highly recommend it!
The only slight down-sides of the appartment were the limited amount of storage for clothes and the street could be noisy sometimes quite late at night (bring ear plugs and you'll be fine). Water pressure in the shower is tricky as many places in Italy. This appartment is on the second floor (with some 40 stairs or so to climb). The definite plus of this apartment is the outstanding manager, Cosimo Curradi, a true Florentine who obviously loves his city, who gave us such a warm welcome and made sure we felt at home and had everything we needed. He was always of quick assistance during the week, especially when we had an unfortunate medical querry and arrangements were made and a doctor came for a home call within an hour or so. One word: wow! A+ on customer service. Grazie mile Cosimo for making our stay a memorable one!

Loved the location and amenities
We stayed for 4 nights and loved it- great location just a few minutes walk to the major Florence sites (Uffizi, Accademia, Duomo, etc.). Very close to Mercado Centrale- shop there in the morning for local fresh food to make classic Italian snacks- cheese, bread, olive oil, tomatoes, prosciutto- and save some money on breakfasts and dinners by eating in the apartment (loved having a kitchen). We really appreciated the washer too since the airline lost our bags so we only had the clothes on our backs. WiFi was sketchy at first but Cosimo remedied that quickly. Florence is noisy, so bring ear plugs for sleeping!

Amazing.
The property is exactly how it looks. The owner met us at the property to give us the keys. Very large place for the money. Also, the location was perfect for sightseeing downtown Florence. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Florence. Highly recommend.

Just as pictured!
Just as pictured! Loft apartment close to Train station. Cosimo greeted us, in beautiful English, when we arrived and showed us how to operate the door locks, washing machine, stove and other appliances, He provided coffee and laundry detergent; and had many good suggestions for restaurants. The bed was comfortable, and the street noise normal for a side street.
Just blocks from the Accademia and Mercato Centrale this was a great place to stay. Mercato Centrale has every kind of market; fish, meat, vegetable and delis, a very lively place. One night, for a break from dining out, we purchased lasagna and meatballs and heated it up in the microwave.
We had a bit of difficulty finding the apartment because the map printed from Mapquest took us a roundabout way. If you are headed toward the Marcato Centrale you are going in the right direction.

Great apartment, excellent manager, walking distance to historic city centre
This is a superb, well-furnished apartment right in the heart of the city. The manager is very professional and helpful as well. Even when we ran into some slight problems, he was quick to attend to them. Also provided us with wonderful restaurant recommendations. We will definitely stay here again the next time we want to visit Florence!
