Great property. The view was amazing. Plenty of space and very warm. Well equipped. Everything was simple to use and worked well. Nice pub 2 minutes walk up the road and a little shop/cafe right next door. Perfect! Only minor point was that the bed was a bit soft and the pillows could be larger. But very minor.

Lovely location but fell short on equipment and cleanliness
We had a wonderful holiday over New Year in Cornwall ! The location was fabulous. The space was great and the views amazing! However there
was little in the way of equipment making self catering difficult Literally only 8 settings or dishes and cutlery and no big pans or serving dishes or spoons. The kitchen is large but very under equipped. The bathrooms were not that clean especially tiling abs the toilet brushes disgusting. There were no cleaning products in the house at all and I had to go out specifically to buy them being New Year we had bought all our food with us so it was annoying to go out shopping for cleaning products.

Our 3rd stay, and we can't wait to come back already
The location is perfect for our young children to watch the boats all day, and for us adults to ge tour on the water for some paddle boarding or fishing.
We were so pleased to see the river cruises from the pier outside had resumed after missing them last year.
The new cafe downstairs is an added bonus.
Only thing to note is that the travel cot needs replacing as the side falls down all of the time.
We can't wait to book again

Marvellous Malpas!
We were absolutely stunned when we arrived at Waterfront House; the house itself was immaculate and the views just amazing. It couldn't have been a better location for our first post lockdown break!
The layout of the interior is excellent; the open plan downstairs perfect for family living, but with large comfy sofas for escaping into. The kitchen is well equipped, although we would perhaps have preferred some more cutlery/serving dishes/mugs - due to everywhere being so busy this summer we ate in far more than anticipated. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and spacious. We loved having the coffee shop down below - fab coffee and great for picking up some extra shopping. All the family loved this house and we would book it again without hesitation. Parking was easier than we anticipated

Waterfront house
Beautiful location with stunning views. The house met all of our needs and was clean and well utilised, the outside space was small but adequate for a BBQ or a morning coffee, although my only critism would be the outside furniture could be updated and the pillows had definitely lost their bounce. Not that any of that would put me off visiting again,.....waterfront house was well priced and in easy reach of Truro city or a variation of beaches. Fab holiday!

A week in Malpas
My family and I enjoyed a week at Waterfront Hose recently.
The location is fabulous and the house is very comfortable [for up to 6 adults].
It would be helpful to have a list of kitchen items so that any personal requirements can be brought if not available.
That said, the facilities were pretty comprehensive.
PS : Wish you could do something about the weather - Noah would have felt at home !

Fabulous house with stunning views
Waterfront house has to be one of the loveliest homes we have ever stayed in. The house is light and airy with modern contemporary furnishings and full length windows making the most of the amazing views down the river Truro. Comfy sofas in the living area and good sized dining table leading into the modern kitchen with good equipment for cooking. There are no basics such as salt and pepper, foil etc but a cleaning pack and welcome pack with tea and some nice bits is a start. Malpas is a lovely village though the road through is very narrow with cars parked all along and few passing places. Thankfully the house has 2 good sized parking places. The Heron Inn is fabulous and a short stroll from the house and they have just opened a small cafe and farm shop underneath the house. We loved our stay and did not want to leave! There is no garden so maybe not ideal if you have children but the balconies are perfect for sitting with a drink and watching the world go by on the river. We would 100% come back to this house
Lovely location and beautiful views. Super clean house. However Bed 1 needs a new bed, the mattress is so worn it dips in the middle and Bed 2 would be improved if it could be a king size. Two of the sofas in the lounge need replacing as the seats have lost most of their support. Such a lovely house and making these small improvements would make all the difference.
The house is beautiful. Lovely airy rooms, very light and splendid views out to the small marina. Excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. Super linen and towels. There is however insufficient china, serving dishes and cutlery. We were only 4 and thought there would be a real problem with 6.
The small seating area overlooking the marina was very pleasant but the seating very basic and uncomfortable.
Overall a very striking and comfortable property.

What a wonderful holiday, in a wonderful place at a wonderful property
We stayed a week at the Waterfront House in Malpas, and it was just stunning. The View was to die for waking up to. The Waterfront House is very well catered for. It is a very up-market property with lots of space. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The Welcome Pack was a nice touch to get us into Cornwall Spirit with Tea, Coffee, Fudge etc. We visited the Heron Inn for a meal on the first night (but we had to book due to covid-19). Malpas and Truro is a very central place to get to most of the sites and beaches in Cornwall (wherever you turn you are only 30-50 minutes from any tourist area). In Truro there is several restaurant and only cost a £10 in taxi to get there. I would also like to mention the Customer Services (and in particular Joanne) - who after having an incident with the key we call them - and they sorted it out instantly. Great Customer Service. I can highly recommend this property and location for your next holiday.

Very pleased!
The location of this property is an obvious sell - gorgeous view - it lived up to expectations! Perfect, even with a toddler, as it’s set up from the water. We found it a great base to do some exploring but also spent a good amount of time in and around Malpas - the dog walks from the doorstep were great!

In Short we loved it
Maybe the weather helped and it being our first break away for a long time due to Covid, but the house was appeared to be freshly painted and extremely clean. The size of the property for 6 adults, a baby and one dog was perfect, there was lots of room for all parties to have their own space.
The French doors opening out onto that view was welcomed in the mornings with the sun streaming in and breakfast sat out on the small balcony areas.
The pub is literally 2 mins walk away with friendly staff and great food.
Lots of local walks to stretch your legs.
In summary our family would return without any doubt. Thank you to the Cornwall Hideaways staff as well who were always great when asking for their help and advice.

Amazing location, furniture a bit old. Good value for money though
Mattresses appalling and need replacing. One bed frame falling apart and al needs replacing. Amazing location though and excellent for families. Carbon monoxide alarm went off but we never heard back of it had been fixed.
