About this property
Great cabin with AC! Walk to town, wifi, 2 King Masters, fireplace, great views
Reg# 3352.
AWD essential during winter and early spring! New in 2025—air conditioning!
The Stanley cabin property (land) was originally owned by the famous F. O. Stanley (who built the Stanley Hotel with his twin brother) and sits above town on 0.6 acres, enjoying views of the Twin Owls, Lumpy Ridge and Lake Estes from the main open plan living area and some of the bedrooms. Enjoy the best of both worlds with the ability to take a leisurely 15 or so minute walk into town, while still feeling secluded at the cabin. The location is perfect! You are so close to town, yet you can also bypass the downtown crowds to get to the RMNP.
Stanley cabin has two master suites, that each have direct access to one of three expansive decks. Each master suite has its own 32" flat screen TV (with DirecTV) and sitting area. The downstairs master also has it's own small gas stove to enjoy.
You will love catching up with friends and family in the open plan kitchen, dining, living area. The kitchen faces large windows that has a great view of the twin owls. There is additional seating at the kitchen peninsular to catch-up while cooking or baking. There is also an 8-seater table with additional stools at the kitchen peninsula and direct access from the kitchen / dining onto the deck through a sliding glass door where you can sit at the large picnic table and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or look out for deer, elk, bobcats, coyotes, rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels who all have been known to frequent the cabin. If you prefer to relax in front of a fire and watch TV, a large 50" screen TV sits above the fireplace to do just that.
When traveling on vacation you often need to pack lightly! There is a full sized stackable washer / dryer available on the main level for guests to use as needed.
Please note that there are 4 bedrooms that include 2 king size and 2 queen size beds. Two high-end sleeper cots are available to provide flexibility in sleeping arrangements for 2 additional people taking the total to 10 which is what the cabin is licensed to sleep. Also, the property has central heating AND air conditioning! Every room has either a ceiling or pedestal fan and most of the windows are screened.
During winter, a 4WD is recommended in general for commuting around Estes Park. A 4WD is necessary for our drive way, however if you are willing to park on the street, there is a front entrance with easy access.
We value our guests and are available to answer any questions or provide any assistance for the duration of our guests’ stay at Stanley Cabin.

This was prefect get it group of woman visiting for a leadership conference at the YMCA with Marketplace Global. It truly welcomed us and felt like home. Great location too!
Clean nice cabin with a great deck and table and pretty view. Had small problem with sliding glass door and screen but host quickly responded to fix. Good location and particularly liked the downstairs bedroom which we did not use for sleeping but enjoyed sitting around the stove with coffee in the morning.

I like that room as well. The morning sun filtering through aspen leaves, the gas stove fireplace, and a sliding glass door opening up to your own patio, often with mule deer or elk outside to greet you. I'm glad you appreciated it!
The host was very helpful and made check-in and check-out easy! Estes Park is a great area to explore. Access to Rocky Mountain National Park was a gigantic plus. We love the area and our stay at Stanley Cabin was a great place to relax with my family and get out and explore.
We had 8 adults staying and had plenty of room. We did have to reach out a couple of times for help and got quick responses and resolutions. Just small things. There was a nice amount of kitchen wares and a nicely stocked spice cabinet. Some quirky things but expected for the age of the place. It was really nice to walk down to town but the walk back was not super easy uphill. The power went out one afternoon during a thunderstorm and knocked the internet out for several hours but we didn’t mind really. Just hung out with our group and played board games. It was nice to have air conditioning.

Hi, Ashley. I'm glad you had a nice time at Stanley Cabin and enjoyed the new central air! (One of the neighbors who lives farther up the hill walks it at least three times a day--he's more fit than me!)

Thanks for letting me know, Mitchell. It should be addressed now. If you ever need anything during your stay, don't hesitate to reach out!
Quiet neighborhood, lots of wildlife, close to RMNP. Had everything we needed. My only complaint was the beds were not really comfortable. We had a party of 6 and used every room and everyone complained of the beds being hard and not real comfortable. The bathrooms were all very clean and looked newly remodeled. Had plenty of room for our group and we loved the deck. Definitely recommend if you're not picky about what you sleep on!
The host was very helpful with our stay - answered questions, offered us good info for our visit, the Stanley Cabin was excellent in location and in good condition and clean, well stocked, and my family had a blast. Everything was in working order. This is our 2nd or 3rd stay in the Stanley Cabin! It is GREAT in every way. Thanks to the owner of the Stanley Cabin and to VRBO!

Always good to have you, Larry. Come back again soon!
The property listing was accurate and the location was amazing. Very convenient to shopping and entertainment. I would recommend this property to anyone vacationing with family and/or friends.
This property is excellent. We enjoyed our stay. We visited Rocky Mtn Nat Park during the day and in the evening the elk visited us, in the yard. Our 3 yr old grandson loved the house calling it his ‘treehouse’ and didn’t want to leave.
House was great, and location was amazing. Very low stock of essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods. We unfortunately had to bug the host a lot for this. Response time was ok.
