We loved our time at this property. It was comfortable and welcoming, which made for a great setting for our family. Thank you for helping us create a special memory here!
Loved the spaciousness of the property and location was perfect. Close enough to everything, but away from the congestion of traffic. Plenty of supplies in kitchen and loved the hot tub! Hiked the hill right outside the property. Close to Rocky mtn National park. Would stay here again for sure!
This home was perfect for our family’s stay in Estes Park! Very clean, lots of space for the whole family, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. We loved the location! Secluded and quiet, yet very close to town and the National Park. Enjoyed viewing wildlife from the yard and house. I definitely recommend Estes Retreat!!
Your house was true to the pictures.
It is a wonderful rental.
Very comfortable furniture and mattresses.
The kitchen was stocked extremely well. Dishes, utensils, cookware was all of excellent quality.
This property was amazing, lots of room, plenty of space for activities and everything we needed to be comfortable. We saw a bear, lots of elk, turkeys, marmot and plenty of birds right out the windows. We didn’t want to leave.
This place had everything you can imagine and then some. They had a pack n play and highchair for little ones and box fan’s in every room which is a must for my family. Great private location with no through traffic, and best of all, huge windows and balconies to watch the turkey’s play and elk grazing out the back door. We had an amazing time and are all in for another stay at this property.
We had the best time! House was so comfortable and felt like home. The house was very clean and in a great area.
We are hoping to rent this home again for our next trip to Estes. I would highly recommend. Hosts were ver accomadating and answered questions quickly. If I could give them 6 stars, I would!!
We stayed here for our first family winter trip and were very pleased. The house is large and great for our group of 10. Everyone had their own room and there’s plenty of space to spread out in the common areas.
What impressed us the most is how stocked the house is….hot tub, games, movies, plenty of firewood, shampoo/conditioner/soap in all bathrooms, and even everything to wash laundry. Most rentals have leftover kitchen items but this house had much more including coffee!
We got snowed in one day and they even have snow toys for the kids, the hill behind and in front of the house made for good sledding.
The hosts were very accommodating due to our later departing flight and very quick to respond to emails. It’s in a really good location, and so close to town that some of us walked into town.
The owners had set up and decorated a Christmas tree, which we weren't expecting and greatly appreciated and enjoyed (Thank you!!!!). Lots of wood was on hand to burn in the fireplace as we celebrated the holiday. The hot tub was great. House was clean, well-appointed, comfortable; lots of room for everyone, as reflected on the web page. The kitchen was a great space, well-stocked with condiments and commonly used herbs and spices, where we were able to make mashed potatoes with a stand mixer, baked cookies and pies in two ovens, and make fajitas on the outdoor grill. We enjoyed being able to walk out the back door and walk/hike up the mountain to enjoy being in the woods and to take in the views as we climbed higher. Great place, thank you for creating this home away from home/retreat space!
Spacious, clean and well located property. Only drawback is the check in and check out times. Cant checkin before 4 and have to be out by 10AM after doing 2 loads of required laundry. That made it an investment of $2000 for a single full day. That is a problem. This is not a hotel room stay, it is a retreat offering. I would suggest checkins as early as 2 and check outs as late as 12. At these prices it is not a respectable request to have your guests do maid service. Expectations of cleanliness and responsibility are fine, but actual jobs that clearly belong to the business isn't reasonable.
This house is a great for a large family. This is a repeat stay for us as we enjoyed this house so much last year. It is spacious, clean and completely stocked with everything you need. The bonus "conference" room was great for the kids to color, play games and watch tv. The location is safe and private. The river is a short walk away. I highly recommend this house!
Very spacious, with lots of room for all 4 of our families! Saw lots of wildlife, and loved everything. But I must say, I especially liked the pesky Red-Headed Woodpecker jack-hammering the metal gutters right outside our bedroom at 6:00 AM! Nature lives here indeed!
Well suited to our kids and grandkids. Very accommodating hosts. Good location - close to town, RMNP, and Cinnamons! Loved the game room. Super big dining room table. Comfortable all around and met our needs. Highly recommend. Will plan to return.
My brother and I stayed here with our wives and children, 11 people in all. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The house was well equipped and stocked. The pictures were not bad, but I thought the house was even better than pictured a good mix of community spaces and personal/sleeping spaces. The location is great for Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park.
The home was perfect for our stay which involved a wedding in Estes Park. The size, layout and number of rooms were just right for our needs. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our cooking and relaxation needs. Great location. Highly recommend.
The house was perfect for our son’s wedding; very clean, spacious and close to the wedding venue. There was plenty of room for all ages to relax and enjoy the experience. The owners have thought of everything in stocking the house. It was the perfect place for a perfect weekend!
Excellent property. Perfect for my family to stay nearby for our January wedding at Della Terra. Somewhat hard to find due to the gps not identifying some roads. It’s tucked away from the main road. Property manger were very responsive and accommodating. Property is beautiful, well kept and ready for guests. There were even pack and plays and high chairs for my baby niece. That makes it so convenient. The fireplace was awesome, nice wrap around porch to enjoy your morning coffee. Plenty of space to spread out, blankets to stay warm. 3.5 bathrooms for all of us. My family was very pleased. If we’re ever in estes park again in need of a place to stay for all of us, we would definitely feel good about booking this again.
Has a hot tub! Close to downtown! Cozy house with a fireplace. Family loves going there, this will be our 3rd year! Nice conference room to play family games in. Deer and turkeys roam the property. Awesome property!

About the host
Hosted by Weston and Kristin Kurz
Hello we are Kristin and Weston Kurz. We are Colorado natives who have always dreamed of owning a mountain vacation property. On a recent trip to Yellowstone Park we asked ourselves why are we driving 8 hours, when we have Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes right in our back yard. We have enjoyed staying in various VRBO properties and we wanted to be part of providing a great place to stay and create lifetime memories for great people.
Why they chose this property
This property is perfect for the large family or a group of people who want to have their privacy under one roof. With six bedrooms and the bedroom layouts, privacy and comfortable sleeping arrangements can be had by all. If you looking for a mountain getaway with outdoor space, huge fireplace in the large family room, and a large room for crafters or a conference gathering, this is the perfect place for you.
What makes this property unique
When we were looking for a mountain property, size, location and privacy mattered. This is a unique property that is on the edge of town but within a short one mile walk to downtown. The hot tub room with beetle kill pine is a fantastic place to relax after hiking RMNP or shopping all day. The front porch with views of Lumpy Range is a great place to read a book. The layout of the home allows a large family or multiple families to enjoy their time without feeling on top of each other.
For the scrapbookers or quilters, there is not another property that we are aware of that has one room that can accommodate up to 12 people comfortably. The room has great LED lighting with a 2x5 foot table with comfortable chair for each person. We added a flat screen t.v. and a bar with a small fridge to keep all of the things you want and need nearby. This room is also great for small conferences of up to 12 people. Great for those retreats or small business strategy sessions. Our aim is to rent this out in the off season for groups on a Thursday - Saturday night basis.
