Excellent Location & Accommodation

6 nights in July, and we found the apartment exactly as advertised. Convenient for restaurants, Retiro, shops. Well appointed and convenient all all respects. Prompt customer service. Only issue - master bed a little too hard for our liking. We will definitely book again.

Frustrating check-in process. Called from Madrid train station as instructed to confirm arrival time. Despite pre-arranged 5pm check-in, we were told they’d show up “in 30 or 40 minutes” and we had to wait outside the apartment on the street with our luggage. Bedrooms and bathrooms were much smaller than expected. Hole in the en-suite shower floor. Exposed electrical wiring near entrance. Wi-Fi did not work in the main bedroom. Kitchen lacked basic essentials such as paper towel, olive oil, salt & pepper - basic items we found in every other rental apartment we stayed at in Spain. For 4 people staying 3 nights, only 2 small rolls of toilet paper and tiny bottles of shampoo were provided. When we requested additional supplies, we were told the originals were “courtesy items”. Follow-up customer service was slow to respond and unhelpful.

Lovely retreat near Retiro Park

The Retiro VI apartment suited our needs perfectly. We stayed for 2 weeks to be near family. The setting is a very quiet side street with easy access to the beautiful Retiro Park where we walked/ran almost daily. The kitchen was well-equipped to easily make a few family dinners. There are some great restaurants nearby and it is a short walk to 2 different metro stations. The bed was very comfortable. Some of the spaces are tight but very manageable. My very minor suggestions for a few additional items would be to stock a few more kitchen basics like salt and pepper and a roll of paper towels. A hair dryer would also be a great addition as I never bother to travel with one. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.
