Our spacious open and airy 4 BR 3 BA 3400 sq ft mountain retreat is located near acres and acres of forest land in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Located in a private residential neighborhood surrounded by beautiful mountains and miles and miles of trails. In the winter enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snow mobiling right out your front door!! Short drives to Heavenly Ski Resort, Sierra at Tahoe and Kirkwood.
Enjoy year round recreation in Tahoe Paradise neighborhood close to Heavenly Village, Epic Discovery, Camp Richardson and surrounding beaches, as well as close access to Tahoe Rim Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Fallen Leaf Lake, Echo Lake, Mt. Tallac and more!
The open living area is great for entertaining to accommodate large families with a huge fully equipped kitchen, large comfortable living room and a large expandable dining room table with seating for 12. All new appliances, furnishings and decor make this the perfect home base for your Lake Tahoe destination.

Per county requirements: 8 person max occupancy. Neighborhood quiet hours must be observed from 10p-8a. (includes hot tub use) and outdoor lighting.

A lovely home for family to gather

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. The open floor plan allowed us to share many happy moments with our family over the holidays. The home is spotless, beautifully decorated, close to skiing and hiking trails, the kitchen welll stocked (my husband loves to cook), and Karen, the owner was extremely easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to be be in nature and luxury at the same time! We will be back :)

Lovely, Cozy, & Comfortable Home

Our entire family loved the home. Our grandchildren wanted to stay at the house "forever". The home is very child and pet friendly. The home is in a quiet, tranquil setting. The master bedroom has a beautiful and peaceful view of a snow-covered mountain from a transom window that is one of the first things to see when waking up in the morning. The kitchen is well equipped for family meals. The home has plenty of space for a family of 10. We can definitely recommend this property.

Mountain Retreat Perfection

Anything you need will be there waiting for you in this perfect and immaculate home away from home. Comfy and cozy and beautifully decorated. Karen was so accommodating and responsive and kind. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood with a fenced yard. We loved the Christmas decorations and the huge windows. Many meals and hours of games and storytelling took place at the large dining table. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and pool table and our grandson had the huge open kitchen and family room space to roam. It was an amazing time and I hope to return again in the Summer months. The Roth home is a gem!

Beautiful Home - Great location

First off, the home is exquisite. Every corner of the home is clean and well kept with top notch bedding, bath towels and accessories and home decor. I was impressed that there were amenities for guests to use in every bathroom, which added a very nice touch. The young adults used the hot tub every night and watched movies in the bonus room at night. We stayed in January so there was plenty of snow and we got to build a snowman with my grandson. The location is perfect - Tube sledding is 1 mile away, casinos and ski resorts about a 10 minute drive. I would 100% stay here again. My only regret is not bringing more family.

Family Vacation

The property is beautiful and in a great location. Not far from everything we wanted to do. The home is well stocked and had plenty of games and things for the kids to keep intertained. It is a beautiful home with great mountain vibes. My family had a blast. Karen, our host, was very kind, attentive, and helpful. I would stay here again.

Family Vacation

This was the perfect home for our family vacation. Plenty of room and full of home comforts. The kitchen was well equipped making cooking easy. There is a big enclosed back yard which was ideal for our dogs to run around. Karen was a very attentive host and we enjoyed every minute in the Roth's beautiful house.

Wonderful week long stay with extended family

We were lucky to have two days of snow and then sunny days in a most beautiful setting. A lovely comfortable home that easily accommodated our family of 8 adults and one toddler.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Roth Mountain Retreat and both stays were great - given the opportunity, we’ll stay again! Exceeded expectations

The home is lovely. we enjoyed our 10 day stay, lot's fun things to do at the home and just a short drive to enjoy the wonders of the Tahoe basin. The kitchen needs a shade on the pop-out window, the sun shines brightly through this window for most of the day making it very hard to cook in the kitchen. Using the garage is inconvenient with out the clickers, driving out of the garage means you then get out go back in through the front door shut the garage doors and go back through the front door to your car, just an inconvenience that I have not experienced before anywhere. Everything is well labeled telling exactly low certain things work, what switches for lights, how to operate the top of the line washer and dryer, all very helpful. Even instructions for the ceiling fans, which I advise not using they have not been used in a very long time and if you do you will experience a dust storm from the paddles best to keep them off. These are all minor inconveniences with the Garage door issue being the worst especially when it's snowing. The home is in a tightly packed neighborhood of at least five hundred other homes in a suburb of South Lake Tahoe. You self check-in and out, so you never do meet your "host".

Amazing Tahoe Retreat

Such a lovely home and wonderful open plan space for families!l Our group consisted of 5 adults, 2 Teenagers and a very well behaved Labrador retriever, all whom had an amazing time. The home itself was very comfortable and provided many quiet areas as well as the cool open upper family space for all to do their own thing, while being in same vicinity. The only “Even Better If” (EBI+) I would offer to the lovely owners is, please consider Wi-Fi Extenders to include the outside deck area with more coverage. I do realize that we are there to disconnect, though everyone has different needs and would be a positive upgrade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!!!❤️

We have been to this beautiful home for the second year in a row. A week full of laughter sun and plenty of fun. The house is well stocked and has plenty games for young and old. Why they chose this property

We loved the spacious layout of the house and the proximity to everything we love to do- Hiking, biking, boating, paddleboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skiing, etc. Its an outdoor persons paradise! We love to invite friends & family and fill the house with fun & memories. Easy in & out access off highway 50 is a plus to avoid the heavy traffic heading into the village during high traffic hours.

What makes this property unique

Plenty of room for family reunions, multi families or lots of friends with a large great room concept and HUGE kitchen with entertaining for all.
3 of the 4 Bedrooms have Cal King size beds, the 4th has a queen and twin bunks. Gorgeous mountain views from the bedroom windows are breathtaking.
Downstairs game room has TV and pool table and dry bar area for more entertaining. We've brought tons of games & puzzles for all to enjoy. We are also pet friendly for house trained fur babies with a refundable pet deposit. We can be flexible on arrival time and departure times with prior consent- depending on the rental schedule.
