The cabin was a perfect space for all 10 of us. The views from the porch were amazing and some of us enjoyed sitting out there drinking our coffee. Our host always got back to me quickly when we had questions or needed help. The cabin is on a pretty steep incline so we only parked for loading and unloading and took advantage of the small overflow lot a short distance away.The kitchen had all we needed for cooking. It was a great multifamily vacation getaway!

We had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook just about any meal. We loved that our dog was welcome. Communication with our host was fantastic, all of our questions were answered in a timely fashion. Our only thoughts are that the mattresses need updating. Many of us had an uncomfortable night's sleep. And angled parking lines would be a great improvement. Otherwise an excellent stay and we would highly recommend this cabin to any of our friends!

We are Carlos and Karolina Galvez, owners of Bear Paw Retreat. I am from Peru and my wife is from Switzerland. We met on a Caribbean cruise ship, married in Alaska and settled in Miami Florida. Over the last 36 years we have been blessed with 3 children, all grown up now, two grandbabies and also with the opportunity to travel all over the world, including the Peruvian Andes and the Swiss Alps. Although we love the sea where we met, we both have a special place in our hearts for our mountains and what they represent. So when we first visited the Smoky Mountains we fell in love with the area as we saw them as a memory of each other’s own culture. It was our dream to one day own a Cabin here as a gathering place for our family and friends, encouraging them to leave the hustle and bustle of busy city lives behind and take a pause in our gorgeous “Bear Paw Retreat”.

Bear Paw Retreat is one of the most beautiful cabins in the Pigeon Forge area. The views are great. We simply love its spacious rooms, the overall area, close enough to enjoy the attractions of the main towns nearby but far enough to relax and enjoy the wilderness and serene views of the Great Smoky Mountains. We are enjoying it to the fullest with our family and friends and when not in town, we want to share the same experience with you. We hope you enjoy our Cabin and take home a memory that will last for years to come.

What makes this property unique

It is an easy drive and access from/to the Parkway. It is only 1.6 miles to the Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville attractions but far enough to enjoy the peacefulness, lots of fresh mountain air and surrounding wilderness. Its bright rooms lighten the mood and are a perfect to relax and recharge. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park as well as Cades Cove are near by. There are plenty of choices for grocery shopping along the way (1.5 Miles to Krogers open 24 hours) Publix or simply have them ordered and ready for you upon your arrival.
