Why choose GracePointe Valley? Read our reviews! Enjoy the views, not traffic!
Come enjoy the incredible beauty of the Smoky Mountains at GracePointe Valley! The air is fresh, the trails are beckoning, and the creeks are rolling! If the cabin's cozy atmosphere, outdoor fire pit, and swing don’t get you in the mood, the lights, activities, and excitement of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge surely will!
And speaking of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, with all the excitement, unfortunately, comes lots of traffic (especially during peak seasons). If you'd prefer to enjoy the natural beauty of the area rather than sit in traffic, Grace Pointe Valley is the place for you. Situated in beautiful Wear's Valley, the area offers many options for back roads to avoid the traffic and congestion, with convenient access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, allowing you to make the most of your vacation. An additional bonus is accessing the National Park's Metcalf Bottoms entrance, only a 7-minute drive from the cabin.
Perhaps this is your first time, or first time in a long time, to visit this area. We're not only interested in providing you with a clean, comfortable and well-equipped accommodations, but also want your experience to be one you'll never forget. We are life-long native East Tennesseans and are very familiar with the area. When it comes time to choose local things to do, enjoy great dining and perhaps, even expand your experiences to other areas in East Tennessee, we're here to help. Simply let us know a little about what you enjoy and we're ready and excited to recommend experiences you will love. Even though we're senior citizens, we are blessed with two married adult children and six grandchildren, with whom we enjoy having fun. We can recommend things which will appeal to all ages.
Now a little more detail about our cabin…GracePointe Valley is a true log cabin, with a unique blend of the comforts of modern structures, but with that special feel of an Appalachian log cabin of years gone by. Nestled in the woods, (but not TOO far in the woods), GracePointe Valley offers unique seclusion and privacy. While located in a primarily residential area, you’ll feel safe, yet secluded. If you’re lucky, you may even see one of our neighbors (racoons, deer, or perhaps, even a bear! For your safety and theirs, please don’t approach or feed the bears).
Outdoors, you’ll find spacious decks with rocking chairs, a game/dining table, a hot tub and a larger dining table for outdoor family gatherings. There’s also a fire pit (with unlimited, versus a “starter supply” of firewood provided) for those special evenings under the stars with a crackling fire and plenty of seating in classic Adirondack chairs and an old -fashioned porch swing.
We continue to improve the exterior of the cabin and recently added the pergola around the dining/hot tub deck with party lighting for celebrations or quiet dinners.
You can even sit in the hot tub and enjoy the firepit! (Can you tell we love the firepit?) A charcoal grill and outdoor dining set means dinner on the deck is a must! Other considerations include ample parking, a wrap-around deck, rocking chairs, a porch swing, and a hot tub. In other words, pretty much everything you need to relax, refresh, and renew.
We even expand our opportunity for you to relax and enjoy your family beyond the property at Grace Pointe Valley. On the back wall of the cabin, near the hot tub, you’ll find beach chairs that you are welcome to take to the creek. Don’t forget to take your favorite book, music, etc. to enjoy while sitting in the river on those warm summer days (You will want to download music, movies or podcasts, as cellular service is typically not available within the park).
We encourage you to take a look at our reviews. We think you will immediately see that we emphasize cleanliness at Grace Pointe cabin. We value cleanliness above all else and want you to feel safe and worry free while staying at the cabin.
Indoors on the main level, you’ll find a large gathering room, with a real-wood-burning, natural stone fireplace (also with firewood provided, a rarity amongst the other cabins in the Smokies). The gathering area includes a large-screen, high-definition television with cable service (including premium programming) and network connections for streaming your favorite programming. There’s even an HDMI cable for enjoying any gaming systems you may bring with you. The gathering area includes ample seating (large sofa, loveseat and rocking chair). For your enjoyment, there’s also a fully-stocked coffee bar with a Keurig and conventional drip coffee maker, plenty of mountain-themed mugs and is even stocked with an unlimited selection of K-cup coffees, teas, creamers and sweeteners.
In the dining section of the gathering room, you’ll find a large dining table, with seating for eight, for those special family dinners that taste so much better in the mountains. It’s also perfect for those family gametimes or for those jigsaw puzzles, which you rarely have time to enjoy together in our hectic culture. We provide a selection of games and puzzles, just in case you forgot to bring yours.
Don’t forget to check out the guest register that’s located on the small writing desk. It is chock full of notes about what other guests have discovered in the area and may give you ideas for new experiences. If you find something new, we encourage you to leave a note so future guests can also enjoy it, as well.
Just off the gathering area, lies the fully equipped kitchen, including a double-door, icemaker-equipped refrigerator with plenty of room for those groceries needed for those family dinners. The kitchen also includes range, with convection oven (which is basically a huge air-fryer), dishwasher, large microwave oven, toaster, blender, and even a crock pot! The kitchen is stocked with a broad range of cookware, dishes, cups, unique old fashion jar glasses and all the cooking utensils and silverware you’ll need for those family breakfasts and dinners.
Just off the gathering area, you’ll find the master bedroom, decorated in tasteful Appalachian style with its queen-sized bed, dresser (another rarity in the Smokies) and a television with cable service. (As a side note, all mattresses are encased to protect against any type of infestation.) We also include a full charging station for charging all if your favorite electronics. (Please bring your own cables as we can’t possibly anticipate all the variations in cables.) It also has a large double window, through which, if you look very closely, you may spy a visiting bear!
Also, just off the gathering area, you’ll find the laundry room, with washer and dryer and ironing board for your convenience. We even provide you with unlimited laundry detergent so that you don’t have to waste any opportunities to enjoy the fun things to do at Grace Pointe Valley, while making runs to the store.
The spacious master bathroom, located just off the gathering area, includes a jacuzzi-bath tub/shower and a large vanity with lots of counter space for getting ready for those special evenings out. All towels and linens and unlimited toilet paper are provided for the entire cabin, eliminating the need for you to bring those or making a store run.
Finally, just off the gathering area, is the doorway leading to large covered porch with rocking chairs and a game/dining table to enjoy those mountain sunsets, or perhaps, those occasional refreshing mountain rain showers. This porch is an excellent place to curl up with your favorite book or enjoy a gametime or a book or game from the selection of books and games shelved in the cabin.
Transitioning to the upstairs area, you’ll find a foyer area which houses a set of child-sized bunk beds. (Note: "child-sized"...meaning kids, not teenagers.) The beds are 33 X70 inches as compared with standard twins (which are 30 X 74 inches) bunk beds in the upstairs landing, making a fun spot for the kiddos. There’s even a television in the bunk area so the kids can enjoy their favorite programs while the adults enjoy their programs in the downstairs gathering area.
Off the foyer area, you’ll find two additional bedrooms, with dormer-style (slanted) ceilings, reminiscent of sleeping in Grandma’s upstairs log-cabin bedrooms. Each bedroom includes a queen bed decorated in vintage Appalachian style and includes a chest of drawers.
If time around the pool is on your vacation list, we also provide access to a nearby (About 1 mile) pool and fishing pond for your enjoyment! We pay the cost of the access. You'll receive access info to Honeysuckle Meadows pool and stocked fishing pond after booking.
Finally, please note GracePointe Valley is located in a quiet, mostly residential area and is definitely NOT a "party cabin." If your vacation plans include hosting loud outdoor parties, you will want to consider another property as you will not find GracePointe Valley to be a good fit for your group. On the other hand, if you're looking for the perfect spot to relax with a good book, enjoy a quiet evening around the firepit, or sweet family/friend dinner time on the deck, then GracePointe Valley is the perfect spot!

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and that you found it easy to get around the area using the multude of secondary roads around the cabin. That's one of the many things that makes the cabin unique. We look forward to having you visit again soon. Thank you for staying with us.
This cabin was so charming! Clean, secluded and close enough to all the attractions in PF. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit several times throughout the week. We so appreciated the very generous provisions of coffee pods, paper products and extra towels. Would definitely recommend to any family. The owners were so friendly and responsive. Grateful for a wonderful week of cherished memories here!
This place was fantastic! We go to a different state every year and this might be the place we come back to! Great location and distance from everything!
A beautiful cabin that lives up to everything that is claimed in the description. Kitchen is very well stocked with anything you could need. Our visit was a relaxing girls weekend and we were extremely confortable staying in,playing board games and unwinding. One small issue that was quuckly addressed by the host and didn't inconveniences us at all. Highly recommend.
The home was great. Central to activities. Kitchen is well equipped. Showers worked well. Bathrooms work well. Living room was large and roomy. The hot tub was incredible as it snowed one afternoon. Truly a great place to stay if you are visiting the Smokeys. K-cup and drip machines! Nice neighborhood for running in as well.

Thank you very much for the review. We hope you made many memories during your stay. A snowy day in the hot tub with spring flowers blooming around is a pretty good start on a memory. If there was anything that you thought of which would make our cabin even better, I would love to hear your ideas. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.

GracePointe Cabin was so clean, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet area and appreciated the small touches like the coffee bar and plenty of firewood. It is a perfect area to stay in since it isn't as busy but also isn't too far out.
Beautiful cabin and clean. Everything was there that we could need, including extra toilet paper, spices, coffee and tea! We had a wonderful stay! Only thing missing was a Mountain View, but I expected that, since it was surrounded by trees. This was a much needed week in the mountains for myself and my family!

About the host
Hosted by Mike Duncan
We (Mike & Micki) love the Smoky Mountains and love sharing our place with others who love the mountains. We owned our first cabin, GracePointe of Gatlinburg, for over 25 years. However, as our children grew up, married, then started having children of their own, we knew it was time for a larger cabin. We sold GracePointe of Gatlinburg shortly before the 2016 wildfires. Unfortunately, the new owners never had the opportunity to enjoy the cabin as it was destroyed in the fire. We had another cabin under contract at the time, but it was also in the fire's path. As you can imagine, we were devastated. Thankfully, we found a sweet cabin in quiet, peaceful Wears Valley and were happy to finally settle down in a new-to-us log cabin that we named GracePointe Valley.
Why they chose this property
An additional bonus is accessing the National Park's Metcalf Bottoms entrance, only a 7-minute drive from the cabin
What makes this property unique
There are so many things that make us happy about GracePointe Valley. One example, the location...Wears Valley lies between Pigeon Forge and Townsend. Seven miles either direction from the cabin and you'll either find yourself smack-dab in the middle of shopping, attractions, & restaurants (Pigeon Forge) or you'll find yourself on "the peaceful side of the Smokies" (Townsend) and with easy access to historic and beautiful Cades Cove. The park boundary is literally seven minutes from the cabin with the Metcalf Bottoms picnic area located on the cool, clear Little River. The Little Greenbriar School trailhead starts in Metcalf Bottoms. There are backroads everywhere, which means lots of options when trying to avoid sitting in traffic.
Another thing that makes us happy is the space, both inside and out. Lots of room inside for families to gather, plus the cabin sits on an acre lot and has ample parking. We even built a firepit for those lazy evenings when you just want to relax and enjoy your time in the mountains.
Grace Pointe Valley comes well stocked with those things you need for your vacation so that you spend your time enjoying family and relaxing, instead of countless trips to the Dollar General store for those things other cabins don't provide. Examples include, unlimited toilet paper and paper towels, laundry detergent, keurig coffees and teas, firewood, beach towels and much more.
