Perfect spot
Great beach cottage, the beach was fantastic and the location back to Calumet for dinners etc. was a short drive away. Cottage had everything we needed and was super cosy with the fireplace keeping us warm as the snow moved in. Great communication with Kristin for any reason was simple and quick.

Cozy Autumn Retreat
Blueberry Cottage was the perfect cozy retreat for my husband and I to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary with our 2 year old. The cottage was just the right size for us and conveniently located to Calumet and other Keweenaw sights. With beautiful Lake Superior right outside the door, we all enjoyed walks on the nearly deserted beach, despite the blustery autumn weather. The cottage was very clean and warm, with heating from a fireplace. The kitchen is nicely stocked with most necessities. We all enjoyed Kristin's bluberry muffins for breakfast! Although the wild blueberries were long gone, we found some treasures on the beach and enjoyed watching deer and woodpeckers right outside the windows. The sound of waves lulled us to sleep at night. When it came time to leave, our daughter bawled, insisting the cottage was our new home. We love coming to the Keweenaw and Blueberry Cottage helped make this another wonderful trip.

Perfect place
This place is a gem. It had everything we needed, it was so cozy with the fireplace, and conveniently all on one level for my elderly mom. We loved the comfy chairs too! And the owner gave us yummy blueberry muffins, so sweet! We will be back!

Ej an I have deep roots in the area. Grandparents migrated here from Finland in the early 1900's. Ej builds Timber Frame houses and I work in the school system. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

Ej and I love living in the UP. It has always been a dream of mine to run a Bed&Breakfast when the kids are grown. Having a chance to purchase the cabin across the road and completely remodeling it, was actually getting the best of both worlds. We can share our love of the area with guests, and manage the property from across the road. Looking forward to meeting you.

Kristin
